On rare occasion, every few hundred thousand movies or so, you may come across a captivating mystery thriller with so much life-changing meaning, such realistic nerve curdling emotion, such awe-struck wonder and curious disbelief, through tears and through laughter, the viewer is transformed into an entirely new being, for the better, and will live on under a new persona for the rest of their life, reflecting on that specific motif of entertainment.
Jared Masters, the surrealist who helmed recent horror melodramas Slink, Teachers’ Day, and Deadly Punkettes, now has his new film, Club Lingerie, also known as Passion Show, halfway in the can.
The motion picture is his most serious, intellectual, genre defying and most challenging project yet. The story is compiled of colorful characters whose mannerisms project into on screen tensions that simmer to a boil and will explode into an aggrandized cinematic trend setter.

For the first time ever, an incredible ballet of bloodshed will commence on screen.
The story is simple on the surface with a sinister subplot that will not be revealed to the naked eye as twelve innocent souls fall prey to the sentimental slaughter. Jared Masters made it up.. Although the story will unfold against a backdrop of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake as in Black Swan by Darren Aronofsky, the film just might take on more of a tone similar to Dario Argento's Susperia, while delicate dancers perform their last.
Ballerina Massacre Aka Ballet of Blood is in its early stage of pre-production and is scheduled to film this year. Densely poetic and tribal, the film will feature explicit gore, rumored to be a thirty-gallon picture (Slink, also directed by Masters, used five gallons).
There’s not much we are allowed to tell you about this disturbing film, but...

The Teachers' Day novel inspired by the upcoming slasher film of the same name, hit the streets this week. The paperback and Kindle edition are now available on Amazon.
Author Stephanie Campbell has adapted the screenplay written by Jared Masters into a suspenseful and mysterious crime-detective story, not just for young audiences. A real page-turner. You will laugh. You will cry. And soon you will see the movie. You won't put this novel down, as Campbell's version of the story may just go above and beyond the boundaries of the film, diving deep into the character's unnerving back-stories and personal dilemmas. But only you'll be the judge of that.
Book synopsis: Jessica is an average girl. She gets straight Cs and has a crush on her attractive high school teachers' aide, Mr. Anderson. When her principal ends up dead and Mr. Anderson is blamed, her...

The Slink Special Edition DVD, from Frolic Pictures, can now be brought home from Amazon, with a full hour of bonus material, including the uncensored deleted scenes (that were too controversial to be included in the theatrical version). Also on the disc is nearly a half hour of Behind the Scenes (which feature the intimacies of the cast and crew at work), plus 3 Slink Trailers, and Red Carpet coverage of the Hollywood Premiere, hosted Kamuela Kim on the Kam Kim Show. Total runtime: 2 hours!
It has been said, that no new idea in cinema really exists, that is why the folks at Frolic Pictures in Hollywood think ya’ll should know about an unoriginal, but stellar American slasher-comedy, that’s about to drop so hard in December on VOD and BluRay, you don’t even know. Teachers’ Day.
He's been referred to as the Ed Wood of the 21st Century.

Jared Lee Masters, mastermind behind the upcoming horror slasher ‘Teachers’ Day’, continues to grind forward on the film. The film is about 2/3 done and has a planned wrap date of early May.
Take a look at the full details below.
From the Press Release:
Once every six or seven years; a motion picture is made that leaves you tingling from amazement, tickled by humor, tantalized by sensationalism, tormented by horror, and tranquilized by fear. The film that's adding up this time: Teachers' Day. Viewers will be instantly immersed into a world of hot pink, ring-pop terror, a rekindling of the sugarcoated adolescence you never had, because your parents were going through a messy divorce (and you were a nasty little rebel). Teachers' Day is an American made slasher-comedy, conceived in the swamps of predictable director Jared Lee Masters' sordid mind. A crock-pot of comedic characters.

Rounding out the principal cast of the pilot is recently cast Ellen Barkin as Goldie’s glamorous/bigoted grandmother. Adler, Murphy and Dante Di Loreto executive produce. Hollywoodnews.com: HollywoodNews.com’s Awards Season Roundup collects insights from around the Internet on films that are running in the Oscar race.
Natalie Portman and Colin Firth have been announced as winners of the Desert Palm Achievement Awards for Acting by the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Speaking of Portman, wouldn’t it be funny if she and James Franco were Oscar winners for “127 Hours” and “Black Swan” by the time “Your Highness” comes out next year?
And as for “The King’s Speech,” Firth’s co-star, Helena Bonham Carter, will receive the Richard Harris Award for her contribution to British film at the British Independent Film Awards, scheduled for Dec.5.
Picking up what we started yesterday, Reuters looks at the Oscar chances for Lisa Cholodenko’s “The Kids Are All Right.”
The Envelope thinks Best Picture is actually a four-horse race.

Justin Bartha is in an enviable position. The actor, perhaps best known as the wisecracking sidekick in the "National Treasure" movies, scored a huge hit with "The Hangover" in 2009. He's also currently making his Broadway debut in an acclaimed production of "Lend Me a Tenor" under the direction of Stanley Tucci. The play runs through Aug. 13 at the Music Box Theatre in New York City. He is showing his dramatic range onscreen in the drama "Holy Rollers," now in theaters. But the actor faced several early false starts to his career—ones that might have stopped a lesser performer.Bartha thought he had won the lottery when he landed his first film role, playing a mentally handicapped man in a feature that starred top names Ben Affleck, Al Pacino, and Christopher Walken. The film was directed by Martin Brest, who helmed such hits as "Scent of a Woman" and "Midnight Run.

Now this sounds like a very fun project. Earlier in the week it was announced (via the Risky Biz Blog) that actor/writer Justin Theroux (who last produced Tropic Thunder) would be signing on to produce Air Guitar, a story set in the competitive world of air guitar. The comedy was originally based on and inspired by the popular documentary Air Guitar Nation and the book To Air Is Human written by Dan Crane, who plays under the name Bjorn Turoque. Paramount has now brought on up-and-coming writers Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger ("Just Shoot Me!", "Teachers") to pen the script with Theroux producing and developing. Theroux is not considering directing or acting in Air Guitar at this time, which means this still needs a director. It was originally a DreamWorks project, but it ended up at Paramount once the studios split. In regards to the story, I'm pretty sure...

There was no stopping Fox on Tuesday with the potent combo of American Idol and House. NBC's new comedy Teachers got a passing grade, but no extra credit, in its 9:30 p.m. premiere behind a fresh episode of Scrubs. Fox stomped all over the competition from the get-go with Idol rocketing at 8 p.m. to 31.5 million viewers and 12.9 rating/32 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research.
