If you tuned into Wednesday’s Masked Singer Season 7 premiere to see the chaos that allegedly ensued when former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani reportedly was unmasked as a contestant… better luck later this season?
The well-known advisor to former President Donald Trump was nowhere to be seen during the episode, despite reports that his unmasking in the season’s first episode caused some of the show’s judges to walk off the set in protest. (Fox declined to comment on the original report and had no comment when TVLine checked in Wednesday.)

It’s been a couple months since the last edition of What’s Up Doc? placed Michael Moore’s surprise world premiere of Where To Invade Next at the top of this list and in the meantime much shuffling has taken place and much time has been spent on various new endeavors (namely my Buffalo-based film series, Cultivate Cinema Circle). Finally taking its rightful place at the top, D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hagedus’ Unlocking the Cage is in the midst of being scored by composer James Lavino, according to Lavino’s own personal site. Though the project has been taking shape at its own leisurely pace, I’d expect to see the film making its festival debut in early 2016.

Besides entertaining viewers with original series like Alphas, Being Human, Sanctuary and Haven, reality shows like Ghost Hunters and Faceoff, Syfy also offers a long line of shlocky, campy, genre-spanning original films. Who can forget Summer Glau in Mammoth (which got an Emmy nomination for special effects)? Famke Janssen in 100 Feet? Eric Roberts in last year’s spoof, Sharktopus. On Saturday, Syfy’s latest original film, winter monster thriller Rage of the Yeti starring Yancy Butler and David Chokachi. Syfy announced their latest original film Friday, Tasmanian Devil starring Danica McKellar (Young Justice and The Wonder Years) and Olympic speed-skater and gold medalist Apolo Ohno. Tasmanian Devil is about a pack of B.A.S.E. jumpers who seek their latest thrill at a Tasmanian national park. What they get instead is a thrill of a different sort as they’re hunted down by Tasmanian devils the size of grizzly...

The new novel by Sheri Holman, Witches on the Road Tonight, is the first literary novel to feature a television horror host as a central character, and it makes an emotional impact as a story of “lonely horror.” That’s the kind of horror that haunts Eddie Alley. Alley works as “Captain Casket”, a monster movie host for an independent television station. He has devoted fans but is deeply afraid of never being understood by his family. He describes his life as “a real ghost story,” which he sees as “colliding” with the lives of those close to him.
The first collision in the book is a literal one which happens early in the novel. Tucker Hayes, a writer driving through Depression-era rural Virginia as part of the Federal Writer’s Project, striking an eight year old Eddie Alley with his car. The boy is only bruised, and Hayes takes...

Considering there is a Hollywood action blockbuster titled Red starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich opening in theaters in October, I would not be at all surprised if Syfy's upcoming werewolf flick Red, starring red hot Felicia Day, undergoes a title change between the time this trailer has been posted and whenever "coming soon" turns out to be.
Red puts a new spin on a classic fairy tale with Felicia Day ("Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog", "The Guild") starring as a modern descendant of 'Little Red Riding Hood' who brings her fiancé home to meet the family for him to discover that his bride-to-be's ancestral business is hunting werewolves. When he himself gets bitten by a werewolf, "Red" is forced to try and save the wolfman she loves from her very own family.

The goodly ones at Quiet Earth have found the first trailer for Miss Nobody, a black comedy that seems to be be relocating the Heathers or Jawbreaker type of murder mirth to a corporate setting. Think 9 to 5 or Office Space with bodies hidden behind the filing cabinet. The film is directed by Tim Cox, previously neither famous or even famous for his monster movies like Larva or Mammoth (if Miss Nobody flies, even a little bit, perhaps he can adopt it as his de facto debut) and stars Leslie Bibb, Missi Pyle, Patrick Fischler, Brandon Routh, Kathy Baker and Vivica A. Fox. See the trailer embedded after this break. You will also spot Eddie Jemison in the trailer here. He was in the Ocean's 11, 12 and 13 series, as well as playing Nameless Numberhead Man in Steven Soderbergh's fantastic Schizopolis, for which I will always love him. I ...

A mild-mannered secretary discovers that she has a talent for murder as she ascends the corporate ladder. In "Miss Nobody", Leslie Bibb stars as Sarah Jane McKinney whose life seems to be ordinary on the outside layer but much more complicated underneath.
Although labeled as an indie movie, the film has lined-up several familiar faces such as Brandon Routh, Adam Godlberg, Kathy Baker, and Vivica A. Fox. The pic is directed by Tim Cox who previously directed music videos and several TV movies such as "Alien Lockdown" and "Mammoth". The screenplay meanwhile, uses the talent of newcomer Dough Steinberg who wrote for a number of TV series episodes.
The production had been kicked off in the fourth quarter of 2007 but the movie has not been screened at any festivals nor it has a distributor. The released trailer, however, cited "In Theaters 2008" which probably was not further edited from the initial plan.

Here's a weird one for ya. Coming from director Tim Cox, who has regaled us for years with schlocky Scifi creature features with names like Gryphon, Mammoth, and Larva, comes a dark comedy called Miss Nobody. I actually read about the film a year ago and then nadda. That is, until we found ourselves in possession of the film's first trailer. This is pretty cool considering there isn't even a single piece of promotional art out there yet.
Synopsis:
A mild-mannered secretary discovers that she has a talent for murder as she ascends the corporate ladder.
Miss Nobody has a great cast. It stars Leslie Bibb, Adam Goldberg, Brandon Routh, and Vivica A. Fox.
Check out the trailer after the break.

We write about a lot of actors, directors and even producers on CinemaSpy, but it takes many more talents to make a successful (or unsuccessful, for that matter) film and television show. It is with pleasure, then, that we present a news story about a member of the filmmaking profession with a specialism that rarely makes the headlines: composing. Congratulations to composer John Dickson! For the second successive year he has received the Ascap award for Top Television series for his work on one of our favourite shows, the USA Network hit Burn Notice.
Ascap - the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers - represents over 8.5 million copyrighted musical works from more than 350,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers. The Top Television Series Award is presented to an Ascap composer who has written themes and underscores for a high rated TV series in the previous year. John Dickson is no stranger to the award,...
