Toni Collette, Ioan Gruffudd and Richard E. Grant are all set to join the drama/thriller "Foster" for Reliance Big Pictures and Starlight Films says The Hollywood Reporter.
Collette and Gruffudd will play a married couple still dealing with the death of their five-year-old son several years before. After seeking to adopt a child, a young boy named Eli turns up on their doorstep.
Anne Reid and Hayley Mills also star in the film which Jonathan Newman ("Swinging With the Finkels") penned and will direct.
Deepak Nayar ("Bend It Like Beckham") produces and shooting kicks off this week in London.

Toni Collette, Ioan Gruffudd and Richard E Grant have all signed on to the cast of writer/director Jonathan Newman’s indie drama Foster.It’s not, as the title might suggest, a biopic of Jodie Foster, but instead deals with a married couple – Collette and Gruffudd – who are struggling to deal with the death of their son years before. They decide to start applying to adopt, and then a young lad named Eli shows up at their house.Anne Reid and Hayley Mills are already aboard and Newman starts shooting the film in London this week.

Toni Collette has begun filming new movie 'Foster'. The Australian actress stars alongside Ioan Gruffudd in the drama, which tells the tale of a married couple who have trouble adopting a new child following the death of their son. Richard E. Grant, Hayley Mills and Anne Reid also star in the movie, which started shooting in London earlier this week, movie website Deadline.com reports. We're just getting back into The United States of Tara on Showtime and now Toni Collette is heading overseas. Deadline Hollywood reports that she and Ioan Gruffudd are starring in Foster -- a family film being shot in London that they describe as "a feel-good Sixth Sense." But it's more than just Casper-y.
