Overly Long Danish Film
Islands Altings besög i Köbenhavn (1906)
Long winded film runs just over six-minutes but we're pretty much shown Iceland's Parliament as they board a ship and are given a reception by the Danish crown. Once again there's no real story to talk about here but I'm sure history buffs will like seeing actual faces to I'm sure some people they might have read about in history books. I'm really not overly familiar with any of this stuff so that's perhaps why I found the film to be rather slow going. As usual, I always get a kick out of seeing people from this era and it comes as no shock that these "important" people are all puffing away on their expensive cigars and walking around as if they own the world. Seeing the outfits they were wearing at the time was one of the small enjoyments of this Danish film.
