I caught this on preview before the recent Cork Film Festival. I believe it is the directors first attempt and I find it excellent. There are some lovely scenes giving homage to some of the silver screens greats, the most obvious being the compliments paid to Hitchcock and Chaplin. Great use of color throughout, and a quirky plot line to boot. The performances from the actors are competent but this is a directors movie full with some beautifully composed shots and a wonderful attention to detail (Where did the tatyo bedspread come from?) with fantastic production values. Pretty much everything you might want from a short film. It's movies like this that make short films worth looking out for. I'm looking forward to seeing some more work from this director.
