The upcoming ‘Star Wars’ series ‘Ahsoka’ has released its new promo video ‘Force’, which for the first time features actor Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker talking to his apprentice Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). This will be the first time that the interactions of the popular Master and Padawan duo from the ‘Clone Wars’ series will be shown in live action.
The 42-second clip only connects the series more to the events of the animated ‘Star Wars’ shows ‘Clone Wars’ and ‘Rebels’, as well as featuring connections to ‘The Mandalorian’ live action series.
Before that, just a week ago, the show had released another video titled ‘Master and Apprentice’ which showcased Ahsoka Tano training ‘Rebels’ character Sabine Wren in lightsaber combat.
The ‘Force’ clip shows Ahsoka facing off against both Imperial Inquisitors, as well as her interactions with ‘Rebels’ character, the pilot Hera Syndulla while also facing off against Rogue force users,...

Rogues are one of the best classes in Baldur’s Gate 3 for roleplaying purposes. Sticking to the shadows, deceiving your foes, picking pockets whenever possible…Rogues fulfill a specific role-playing fantasy in ways that other classes simply can not. Of course, learning to get as much out of the Rogue class during combat as you do outside of combat can take a lot of practice and effort. That’s where this build comes in.
This particular Rogue build emphasizes the class’ stealth and ranged attack abilities in order to ensure that you maximize every Rogue attack without having to constantly keep Rogues in the fray. At the same time, it should allow you to utilize most of the out-of-combat features that often make the Rogue class special.

Your choice of class matters in most RPGs, but Baldur’s Gate 3 makes that choice as important as it has ever been. While there’s no such thing as picking the “wrong” class in Baldur’s Gate 3 (as long as they’re the right class for you), certain classes obviously have notable advantages and disadvantages. Well, there are a few areas of the game where those advantages and disadvantages are more obvious than when you’re thrust into combat.
If it is possible to do a pure pacifist run in Baldur’s Gate 3, then nobody has discovered how to do it yet. You will have to fight something at some point. When that happens, you may discover that Baldur’s Gate 3‘s combat can be quite unforgiving. As such, it’s a good idea to have a rough understanding of which classes are more capable in combat than others.
Before we dive into that topic,...

This post contains spoilers for Netflix's "The Witcher."
"The Witcher" might be undergoing some major changes with its third season, but you didn't think the show would be without some deranged eldritch beasts, did you? Netflix's Henry Cavill-led fantasy drama is bidding adieu to its star, who'll soon be replaced by Liam Hemsworth in the role of Geralt of Rivia in season 4. Meanwhile, Ciri (Freya Allan) will face her biggest choice yet as part of season 3, volume 2, in an event that's sure to fundamentally change the child of Elder Blood going forward. In fact, Ciri will be the main character in "The Witcher" after season 3, according to executive producers Steve Gaub and Tomek Baginsk.
With all these changes going on, you might expect the writers to be focused more on story and setting up season 4, but this is still "The Witcher," and you can't have "The Witcher" without some good old-fashioned monster hunting.

It has been seven years since filmmaker Gareth Edwards broke big with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” the 2016 blockbuster prequel that spawned the Emmy-nominated series “Andor.” But Edwards is back in 2023 with a film of his own design: “The Creator,” an action blockbuster that, based on its new trailer, combines elements of “Terminator” and “Children of Men” to tell the story of the human race’s struggle with its demise at the hands of artificial intelligence.
John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney lead the cast, alongside newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles. Here’s the logline for the film, provided by 20th Century Studios:
Amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect...

There are certain expectations that come with a new Diablo game. Even though the series has been running since 1997, we’re only now receiving the fourth installment in the form of Diablo IV. The last mainline installment was Diablo III in 2012 and Diablo II before that in the year 2000. Suffice to say that a new Diablo comes every once in a great while and when they do they almost always are a paradigm shift in the action-rpg genre. Countless players have explored the deepest of dungeons and the depths of Hell in search of the almighty loot to add to the addictive power creep and sense of reward and satisfaction that comes with playing this type of game.
So what’s new with Diablo IV? Does it live up to the standard that’s been set by other mainline entries? Well, yes and no.

Update, July 4: Another victim of Disney’s cost-cutting on the streaming front has emerged: “Crater,” a sci-fi adventure film about a group of children that hijack a rover before a member of the group relocates to a new planet. The film, starring Mckenna Grace and Isaiah Russell-Bailey with a featured role played by Kid Cudi, drew mostly positive reviews around its debut on the streaming service on May 12. Roughly seven weeks later, “Crater” has been pulled from Disney+.
The original report follows.
Disney’s content culling from Disney+ and Hulu is coming as early as next week — with the media company pulling off more than 50 titles, including series “Willow,” “The Mysterious Benedict Society” and “Dollface,” and movies such as “The One and Only Ivan.”
At the same time, CEO Bob Iger told investors last week that the company expects to raise the price on the ad-free Disney+ tier later...

Diablo 4‘s Server Slam weekend is our last chance to play the game ahead of its full release. That also means that it’s the last time we’ll get to play with the various build possibilities for every class ahead of Diablo 4‘s release.
Diablo 4‘s surprisingly substantial Server Slam patch means that every class was subject to a series of nerfs, buffs, and, in most cases, a little of both. As such, these builds will primarily focus on the new possibilities that those changes hopefully enabled.
Before we dive into all of that, though, let’s go over a few things.
– As before, these builds are based on what we currently know about the game thanks to the Early Access beta, earlier previews, and datamined information. This article will be updated for the retail release of the game.
– This article primarily focuses on the best solo builds since...

Diablo 4‘s Server Slam weekend offers one more chance to try the game’s “beta” before the game launches in June. Since this will be the game’s third early access period so far, we actually have a pretty good idea about how the game’s classes stack up against each other and which should be the most powerful during the Server Slam period.
So while we’ll have to update these rankings ahead of the game’s proper release, here’s a look at where every class in the game stands ahead of this final beta weekend.
Barbarian – A Straightforward Powerhouse That is Perfect for Beginners
Anyone vaguely familiar with previous Diablo games (and most RPGs for that matter) should know what to expect from Diablo 4’s Barbarian class. If not, then just know that Barbarians are mighty melee powerhouses who rely on multiple massive weapons to carve their way through waves of foes.

Andor star Diego Luna has seen it all on Star Wars sets. But regardless of how the sausage was made, both his projects have led to resounding wins.

And led by the auteur voice of Gilroy, Andor became Star Wars’ most critically acclaimed Disney+ series yet, as its writing is as nuanced and complex as other prestige shows like Better Call Saul and Succession. A year after Tom Cruise saved cinemas with Top Gun: Maverick, the daredevil action star returns to his most famous franchise with an epic, two-parter starting with this summer’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. In this entry, Cruise is already revealed to be hanging on to the wing of a bi-plane, and most notably, he would be making a motorcycle jump off a cliff into a wing glide. Paramount has recently dropped a new teaser poster for the film which headlines the stunt.
There is yet to be an official synopsis released, and the plot is currently being kept under wraps. Black Water is one of those rare instances where “based on true events” isn’t just a gratuitous tagline. The 2007 movie (later followed by an unrelated and more polished-looking sequel) is in fact inspired by an event from a few years earlier — near the Finniss River in the Northern Territory of Australia, two people were stranded in a tree after a massive predator killed their friend, then continued to stalk them. While that real-life account and this piece of fiction are substantially different in most respects, they both illustrate the terrifying unpredictability of “salties.”
After spending Christmas vacation with family, Black Water’s three main characters set off on a number of small adventures before returning to their humdrum lives. It’s only when sisters Lee and Grace and Grace’s husband Adam (Andy Rodoreda) go fishing in a mangrove do they encounter one of Australia’s most dangerous residents.

"Andor" has quickly featured a number of deadly important milestones for "Star Wars." Quite so, creator Tony Gilroy's hard-edged look at the birth of the Rebel Alliance not only marks the first time someone has uttered "s***" in a galaxy far, far away, but it's also the first "Star Wars" live-action movie or series to confirm that individuals in this universe do, in fact, need to pee. It turns out "Star Wars" people even have casual sex! (And here I was thinking it was solely those frisky midi-chlorians that were getting around.)
More than any other "Star Wars" project to date, "Andor" tends to concern itself with the minutiae of life among both the Rebels and Imperials, from their predilection for blue cuisine to their hygiene practices. It's all vital to Gilroy and his creative team's efforts to ground the series' fantastical universe in realism more than any other...

With its lived-in feel and measured pace, Andor is a very different kind of Star Wars show, and its showrunner, Tony Gilroy, is a very different kind of Star Wars creator. Not only did he have minimal interest in the franchise until he came on as a script doctor for 2016’s Rogue One, his extensive resumé as a writer and director favored the realistic and earthbound – writing the Bourne movies was about as fantastical as he’d gotten. (On the other hand, Gilroy did co-write 1997’s The Devil’s Advocate, in...

When Tony Gilroy joined the Star Wars galaxy to reconfigure Rogue One, he was unafraid to make the tough choices. His superpower, as he called it, was that he wasn’t a lifelong Star Wars fan, allowing him to take some big swings such as sacrificing Rogue’s main characters. Gilroy certainly became a fan of the franchise during his time on Rogue, paving the way for him to join Andor as creator/showrunner once previous development stalled.
When the series eventually entered into production, Gilroy noticed that his collaborators were altering their behavior and performance because of their nostalgia for Star Wars. So he had to encourage them to put aside their fondness as best they could.
“In every department, we’ve had all kinds of people come in, and they know it’s Star Wars, so they change their behavior. They change their attitude.

Star Wars fans might be excited to reunite with “Rogue One” hero Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) — but the character as we find him in “Andor” on Disney+ is as far as he can be from a rebel leader.
“We’re starting with a nobody,” series creator Tony Gilroy told IndieWire over Zoom. “How does a nobody, absolute nobody, forgotten, careless nobody, become this incredible person? I’m not going to call him a messianic character, but there is an aspect of it that is a journey of someone who has a destiny.”
“Andor” finds Cassian at a distinct low point in his life, grappling with repressed childhood trauma and an adult life that has veered from his limited aspirations.
“He’s just fucked it all up,” Gilroy said. “He’s that guy that nobody really wants to see coming down the street anymore. Nobody wants to give him their keys to their apartment.

Another new “Star Wars” series is arriving imminently, but “Andor” is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Set years before the events of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” this new series is devoid of Jedi, Sith or bounty hunters and instead focuses on the regular, working-class people who are sparked to ignite a rebellion in the lead-up to the events of George Lucas’ iconic “A New Hope.”
But how soon can you watch it? What time does “Andor” come out on Disney+? The series premieres at 12 a.m. Pt/ 3 a.m. Et on Wednesday, September 21.
The first three episodes of the 12-episode first season will be streaming at that time, and each one runs about an hour in length, so if you want to binge-watch you’ll be staying up very late. And judging by the positive early reviews, you’re definitely going to want to watch this one.

For A Sense of what makes the ambitious new Disney+ series Andor different from just about everything else in the ever-expanding Star Wars universe, consider this: There will be no Jedi appearing over the show’s two allotted seasons, but in the very first episode, there is a scene set in a brothel — a first in the entire live-action history of the oft-sexless saga.

Keke Palmer has never been afraid to shoot her shot for a role, but this time the fans are doing it for her!
A video of the “Nope” actress showing off different outfits for Vogue sparked a conversation about casting her as a comic-book hero when Palmer briefly appears in a black leather outfit and says she’s “manifesting a superhero role” because it would make a perfect costume. While many of the suggestions were the popular casting choices for Black actresses – regardless of personality – one particular fan’s idea went viral.
TikToker @jacobfordridgway noted that although suggestions like Storm and Bumblebee were understandable, Palmer would work best in a role that tapped into her real-life superpower – her vivaciousness.
“If you want her to deliver a powerhouse lead, she’s got to have room to play in that role,” he explains, suggesting that Palmer should play X-Men’s Rogue, giving her a “fun,...

Disney has removed “Rogue Squadron,” the “Star Wars” film from director Patty Jenkins, from its release calendar. The move comes as little surprise since the tentpole, which was scheduled for Dec. 22, 2023, was taken off the studio’s production schedule in 2021.
The announcement is more-or-less pro forma, as the window for “Rogue Squadron” to start filming in time to complete the movie by next December has very nearly closed. The next big-screen story in the space opera saga had already been delayed in November 2021, reportedly due to scheduling conflicts with Jenkins.
As part of the scheduling change, Disney set release dates for several movies, including its “Snow White” remake, starring Rachel Zegler; “Inside Out 2,” a follow-up to the emotional Pixar picture; and “The Lion King” sequel “Mufasa,” from director Barry Jenkins.
The studio also planted flags for Searchlight’s “Next Goal Wins,” an inspirational sports comedy from Taika Waititi; Disney Animation’s “Wish,...

A new "Star Wars" series is gearing up for release, and depending on your personal tastes, you may or may not be excited. Ever since entering the world of streaming television with "The Mandalorian," shows set in the "Star Wars" universe have received a mixed reception from fans. While many appreciate their cutting-edge visual effects and connective tissue to the "best" aspects of the franchise, others aren't as keen on how reliant they seem to be on callbacks and references. These television series, made as a hold-over between movies after the lackluster reception to "The Rise of Skywalker," have certainly been a mixed bag in that regard.
However, there's something about the upcoming "Andor" that feels different from the other "Star Wars" shows that have been released over the past couple of years. It feels more insular than the others, and it also strangely helps that the central character, Cassian...

Matt Hearn, producer of “Wolf Creek,” one of Australia’s biggest genre exports, is backing “Penny Lane is Dead,” the feature debut of Australian writer-director and makeup artist Mia’kate Russell.
Set up at Melbourne’s Buffalo Media, headed by André Lima, who will produce “Penny Lane is Dead” with Hearn, “Penny Lane” looks like one of the strongest projects being brought onto the market this week at Frontières, in terms of its behind the camera talent package and financing.
“Penny Lane” features among Frontières’ six Forum projects, a program reserved for films in advanced stages of financing.
The film has drawn down “significant funding” from Screen Australia’s Producer Offset program, which means 40 of the film finance is secured, Lima told Variety.
“With the right market partners in place, we estimate that [a further] 20-30 of the production budget can be raised from our federal and state film agencies through their production investment funding programs,...
