Fired Fox News producer Abby Grossberg sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday night and opened up even further about her experience as a booker for fired Fox News host Tucker Carlson. And, according to Grossberg, Republican politicians were actually “terrified” of appearing on the show — something Carlson himself delighted in.
During her appearance on “Anderson Cooper 360,” Cooper pushed for further details on Grossberg’s description of the environment she faced while working for Carlson, honing in on the fact that “from what you say, he talks as if he was in the position to destroy campaigns and would actually threaten politicians.”
At that, Grossberg readily agreed, and recalled a specific example from her time there.

After a week-long hiatus, “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert came out swinging Monday, where there was only one major target in his crosshairs: recently fired Fox personality Tucker Carlson.
“We’ve been off the air for a week. Do you know who else has? Tucker Carlson,” Colbert said at the top of his monologue.
Thus began Colbert’s onslaught against the embattled host. While telling his audience about the many scandalous messages Carlson sent, including one that called a Fox executive the c-word, Colbert changed the common joke about the word from “See You Next Tuesday” to “See You Never, Tucker.” He then poked fun at his love of Russia and “tempting” job offer from Russian State Media. “Up until now, he’s been representing Russia pro bono,” Colbert said. He also quipped that Carlson should become the pillow for My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell.
“I’ve been holding this in for a week,...

Sitting with MSNBC’s “The Beat With Ari Melber,” Hollywood heavyweight Rob Reiner had some feedback for former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, dragging him for not having “range” as an interviewer and — worse yet — for having a “high-pitched maniacal giggle.”
In the segment seen in the video above, Melber sets up his questions for Reiner by indicating that Fox’s $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems came to pass after what must have been a careful deliberation of which would cost the network more: settling for that gargantuan sum or taking matters to court and having Carlson and his colleagues take the stand.
“From a legal sense, journalists make mistakes. Good faith mistakes are not punished by debilitating defamation judgements — it is the dishonest, or to use the term of the art of the law, the malicious and reckless mistakes,” Melber said, adding that the settlement came as the judge “clearly…...

Megyn Kelly said that without Tucker Carlson, who was abruptly fired from Fox News on Monday, the conservative network is in a “downward spiral” and that without its biggest star, we really “don’t need Fox anymore.”
Brian Kilmeade stepped in Monday as the slot’s first guest anchor, and ratings since then have continued to plummet, which Kelly pointed out in her Friday SiriusXM show.
“Fox News is in a downward spiral that they’re going to have to claw to get themselves out of. This is an existential crisis for the channel and its primetime, which is how they make money… They live off of their primetime and the food has dried up,” she said.
“You don’t need Fox anymore,” continued Kelly, who left Fox News in 2017. “They’re not the monopoly in conservative media that they used to be – they’re just not. And so you take away the unique voice,...

Bella Poarch knows she’s bad news — but in her hypnotic new single “Living Hell,” the viral superstar just can’t manage to keep someone she’s hurt at bay.
The Andrew Donoho-directed clip finds Poarch trapped inside a seemingly nondescript house teeming with paranormal activity — clothing suspended in air, an eerie little girl inside a mirror, psychokinetic forces — as she pleads with a lover to stay away and stop pursuing their relationship. “I can make your life a living hell if I wanted to,” she coos on the song’s chorus.

Warning: This post contains spoilers from Friday’s episode of Blindspot.
Jane Doe has been called a lot of names during Blindspot‘s 48-episode run: Alice Kruger. Remi. Mrs. Kurt Weller.
And now, after Friday’s installment of the NBC drama, she can add a new moniker to that list: Mom.
In the newest Case of the Week — which sent the FBI on a hunt for a serial bomber, who had resurfaced many years after he was believed to have committed suicide — Jane crossed paths with a man named Rossi, who clearly had a long history with Jane that she simply couldn’t remember.

Adios, Rosario. As the promos for Thursday’s Will & Grace had so heavily hinted, Karen’s maid, sparring partner and mother figure didn’t survive the fall finale.
Sure, “Rosario’s Quinceanera” started off frisky and funny, with Karen assuming that, since her cleaning lady had gone Awol, it must be “Maids Eat Free Day at Applebee’s” or something. And when Rosario finally phoned, her boss turned the snark up to 11, warning that she’d “better be in the hospital.” The thing was, she was — she’d had a heart attack!

If there's one thing that we've all learned from watching Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, it's that Gotham can be a really awful place to live. It's overrun with corrupt businessmen, violent gangsters, and homicidal maniacs. If the Batman wasn't around to protect the innocent, who in their right minds would live there?
Bane's seizing control of the entire city is just the latest in a series of unfortunate events that have occurred in Gotham over the past few years. With a history rooted in exploitation and murder, Gotham has always been about as dangerous as it is beautiful. Honestly, we don't see the appeal at all. Which is why we've compiled a list of five stories that make the end of "The Dark Knight Rises" look like child's play.

The Voice 2012 Christina Aguilera may get fired for making the set a living hell. According to a new report from Hollywood Life and their sources, mega singer Christina Aguilera may have gone too far with her bitchy attitude on NBC's The Voice, because it's speculated that she could actually get fired for her antics. Their sources told them, "The entire crew blames Christina for the argument and feud with Adam. I’ll be surprised if she is here next year as a judge, and if she is, she will never win the show." The source went on to reveal that everyone is happy with the way Adam Levine handled Christina on the show the other night, and that Christina is making crew members’ lives a living a hell. They stated, "when things get heated,on and off set,the people in makeup have been told to go to Christina and...

Watching Jake Lloyd play Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace was just as annoying for me as Jar Jar Binks. I can't blame Lloyd for the terrible performance because every actor in the movie was bad! The film had an all star cast that included Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, and Natalie Portman, and they all gave the worst performances of their careers. Yeah, I think we can all agree that was Lucas' fault.
Apparently Lloyd, who is now 22-years-old, will need to eventually undergo some counselling. In a recent interview, Lloyd explains that working on The Phantom Menace was a "Living Hell" and it's because of his experinces with that film and Lucas that he never acted again. He only reprised his role as Anakin for five video games. Hell, the guy can't stand it when a camera is pointed at him. "I've learned to...

The Punisher has my favourite origin of any comic book character. I’m not saying I delight at the fact that Frank Castle had to watch as his family was ripped apart in a hail of bullets but his origin is the most believable (yes, I know I’m talking about a comic where a 50 year old man takes on the mob with more ordanance that the U.S. army, believable doesn’t come into it) in that if my loved ones were killed, I wouldn’t throw on a reallllly tight fitting costume and start beating up muggers. I would instead track down and kill those responsible, just like good ol’ Frank. One thing that didn’t gel with me though: why has hasn’t The Punisher never stopped?
Theres a dozen answers to this question, but the one I like the most was presented in ‘Born’… Frank Castle is in love with war.

First things first: Livewires is Not a manga. Sure it’s been collected in a digest format, features hyper-advanced human looking robots displaying human emotions, the art is very reminiscent of Japanese comics, it has, at times, a highly convoluted plot, and features more action than a comic published in America has any right to (the first issue is a protracted battle at a weapons factory,
where we meet each main character one by one, at once showing their personality and role within the series). It’s not a manga. But it’s the closest Marvel has ever come to publishing one.
Written by Adam Warren, with art by Rick Mays (based on Warren’s layouts), the mini-series inhabits the espionage filled corner of the Marvel Universe that is home to Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D, and numerous secret organizations, like A.I.M. And Hydra. The...

I’m not a big fan of the horror genre. I don’t care for horror films, TV shows, novels or anything like that. But I do have an understanding of the genre and the roots that it has in something I really do enjoy: German expressionist cinema.
German expressionist cinema is a type of film that highlights bizarre sets, unusual angles, dark shadows, strange people and strange places. Mental illness was often a feature of the stories in one form or another. Expressionism got its start in Germany in 1913 with The Student of Prague, but it didn’t really take off and come into its own until after World War I. Though the Expressionist movement was largely dead after 1933 (not coincidentally the year that the Nazis came to power in Germany), it nevertheless created vibe that resonates throughout film today, inspiring, in whole or in part, such genres as...

In the real world Arkham Asylum would a very, very bad idea. Putting the most diabolical and dangerous of Gotham’s lunatics together in the same building has ‘unwise’ written all over it. Also considering that many of former staff members, including Harley Quinn and Hugo Strange, are now inmates, and the architect went mad and hacked his family to pieces before the project was finished, it would send alarm bells to ring in any government officials head, leading to the building being demolished and the earth on which it stood salted. But thankfully comic books don’t subscribe to real world logic. If it did, we wouldn’t get books like Arkham Asylum: Living Hell.

This movie has a stupid title. It's obvious that Syfy was ambivalent about it too, as the movie was later released on DVD as Organizm. With a "z," which isn't much better than Living Hell and just makes it look like Syfy doesn't know how to spell "organism."But the naming difficulties suit the movie, which is difficult to quantify. Although there technically is a monster, it's a living cancer. And if you look at it that way, Living Hell is a manifestation of our worst fears about inheriting our parents' genetic abnormalities. If your dad...

Some films are low on budget yet high on concept. They don't need fancy special effects, wealthy actors or an elaborate crew to translate their vision onto the silver screen. All they need is a few good ideas and a creative team to work around all the limitations they will be facing. White Panic is a good example of such a film and even though it doesn't compete with the best, it's a damn fun ride nonetheless.
Science-fiction is a welcome genre for directors wanting to show off their skills with a very limited amount of money. Working in small spaces with shots from specific angles, the right lighting and just the right amount of tech and steam is often more effective than filling the screen with full-blown CG galaxies and spaceships. It's exactly the reason why sci-fi can sometimes feel more claustrophobic than spatial, but the result is usually more than satisfying.

Music videos that contain flying spirits, an assortment of demons and devils and baby sacrifices can grab a hold of my eye more than a warm fudge brownie sundae. Boston's thrash metal band Living Hell has posted their music video for "Demonic Assault" on their Myspace. The track is 10 seconds short of being 2 minutes long but the hardcore intensity and the black and white silent horror homage sure does makes up for it. "Demonic Assault" will be on it Living Hell's Oblivion album set to hit store shelves October 13th.

Virginia road-dogs We Were Gentlemen have just released their first full length CD on Century Media Records entitled Living Hell. This 10 song collection of bone crushing MetalCore madness features ungodly screams combined with heavy guitar riffs and killer cut time beats. This is their first release on a major label, so I would expect to be hearing a lot more from them in the near future. They demonstrate the ability to write good MetalCore and have the drive to rise to the top of their game. Be sure to pick up this CD, as it’s sure to become a classic in a few years.

Even though writer/actor Johnathon Schaech may have initially hit the Hollywood scene in 1995 with his performance in That Thing You Do!, it’s his latest string of performances and writing contributions in the horror field that demonstrates he has what it takes to keep himself working consistently.
In fact, this week alone Schaech is featured in two different horror releases. In the first film, Laid to Rest (review), Schaech is featured in a supporting role where his character suffers one of the more creative knife-induced kills at the hands of serial killer ChromeSkull. The second movie, Sony Pictures The Poker Club (review), Schaech both starred in the film as well as penned the screenplay adaptation of the Ed Gorman novel.

Slash cow: Horror genre a monster
CANNES -- Like a B-movie monster that just won't die, the horror genre is more visible than ever at the Festival de Cannes and its parallel market, where insiders say there are more scare pictures being shopped than there have been for years. Two films that loosely fit into the horror genre are screening in various selections -- Re-Cycle, from Oxide and Danny Pang in Un Certain Regard, and Bong Joon-Ho's The Host in Directors' Fortnight. Word is that Cannes selectors were keen to include Alexandre Aja's remake of The Hills Have Eyes too but shied off because the film already had been released in too many territories. A walk about the market reveals literally dozens of films being sold or looking for investors. Some of the names sound like a punch line from a sick joke, but such films as Living Hell, The Quick and the Undead, The Demon Child and even The Night of the Living Dorks and Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead are part of the fast-growing and often highly profitable sector.
