The "Dirty Red" parts of Mani and Mark Coyle's on screen credits refer to their support of Manchester United FC. Similarly, the "Super Blue" in Phil Smith's credit refers to his support of Manchester City FC.
In a 2004 interview with UK music magazine, Mojo, it was suggested to the Real People that their interview segments in the documentary had been "edited to suit the party line", to which, Tony Griffiths replied, "Yeah, we thought that on the Definitely Maybe DVD we'd get the full story across, but, when we watched it, it just looked like we were licking their arses, y'know what I mean?"
Although Mark Coyle claims that Tony McCarroll "could never have made the second record", Tony does actually appear on the band's second album, "(What's the Story) Morning Glory ?", as the drummer on track 7, "Some Might Say".
