For its time, this is a mostly average crime drama, with some good action sequences that make decent use of the possibilities in the story. Most or all of it was filmed outdoors, which helps noticeably in giving it some realism and in providing some interesting settings. Its main drawback is that some sequences are a little hard to follow, sometimes because the action moves outside the fixed camera field, and sometimes because the characters are hard to distinguish from one another.
The story starts when "The Pickpocket" is caught in the act, and is then pursued by a number of police officers and other citizens. The chase becomes relatively elaborate, and there is plenty of action, with some of the scenes featuring a creative touch or two. If you get a good look at the thief in the opening scene, it is then a little easier to recognize him when the action gets chaotic later on. Even then, there is at least one confusing sequence at a water trough, in which much of the footage seems to have lost sight of the main action.
This crime feature has plenty of rough edges, but it's a reasonable effort for its time, and it keeps you watching with the action sequences.
