- Cold Winter is a very graphic and emotional game; but also relevant with it's dealing of certain adult themes.
- One of the characters wears a bikini while getting a sun tan; nothing major.
Violence & Gore

- Highly graphic violence is frequent throughout. The player has multiple weapons at their disposal, and when enemies are shot blood spurts out realistically, and can stain nearby walls or on the floor. More powerful weapons like grenade launchers, machine guns and shotguns can graphically dismember enemies.
- Enemies make large puddles of blood when killed.
Profanity

- Strong language, while infrequent includes uses of "fuck" and "shit". Mild language like "damn" and "hell" are more common however.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Brief smoking and drinking are seen during cutscenes.
- Players have the ability to create Molotovs using beer bottles.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The story of Cold Winter strongly deals with the topic of nuclear warfare, which while philosophical, may be unsettling to some players.
- The strong graphic violence during gameplay and cutscenes can be disgusting or frightening to some players.

Violence & Gore
- Cutscenes also depict some graphic violence; examples include a character being gruesomely tortured, a villain being gunned down by his former associates, blood is seen spurting and splattering a main character being executed by a villian; blood spurts. Her body is later seen lying in a pool in blood afterwards.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The deaths of Kim and John Grey are graphic and emotional.
