It’s a fairly packed month on Hulu this February thanks to the addition of some interesting TV shows from FX and ABC. While the streamer’s own original content is somewhat limited – Life + Beth is returning for season 2 – you can also catch the new series of Feud this month. The new installment in Ryan Murphy’s juicy anthology show is based on the bestseller Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer, and tells the story of Truman Capote’s betrayal and fall-out with New York’s most glamorous socialites. The cast is absolutely stacked, with Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny and Calista Flockhart all swearing delicious revenge on Tom Hollander’s Capote.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ relationship timeline has long overlapped with their professional careers. After spending years together on the soap opera All My Children, the celebrity couple teamed up again to co-host Live with Kelly and Mark. The success of the daytime talk show is due in no small part to Ripa and Conseuelos’ chemistry and combined sense of humor.
That sense of humor was on display when Ripa and Conseulos’ relationship history became a topic of discussion. The two shared very different memories of their first kiss.

If you’re a fan of true crime documentaries or early millennium classic cartoons then boy does Hulu’s list of new releases have some great news for you!
Hulu continues its implicit understanding that streaming services are basically true crime distribution machines this month with a trio of intriguing titles. That will be followed by Betrayal: The Perfect Husband on July 11, which is based on a compelling podcast of the same name. The Jewel Thief arrives on July 13 to provide an account of Gerald Blanchard, one of history’s most creative criminals.
But where does the cartoon excitement comes in? Well, that’s because season 11 of Matt Groening’s beloved Futurama premieres on July 24. Fry, Leela, the Professor, and Bender will all return for a direct continuation of...

Rainn Wilson, former star of the hit TV series “The Office”, said there is “an anti-Christian bias in Hollywood” following the eighth episode of “The Last Of Us”.
The episode showcases the main character Ellie meeting a group of survivors led by a Bible-reading preacher who turns out to be a terrifying, murderous villain.
The episode caused Wilson to reflect on his perspective, writing on Twitter: “I do think there is an anti-Christian bias in Hollywood.”

Actor Uma Thurman has dabbled in the superhero genre in her long and successful career. But there was one superhero film she acted in that she labeled a nightmare for a surprising reason.
Uma Thurman has starred in two superhero films Uma Thurman | Stefania D’Alessandro/WireImage)
Thurman’s extensive film resume also included a couple of superhero projects under her belt. In 1997, she played the villainous Poison Ivy in the critically panned feature Batman & Robin. But in 2006, she had her turn to play the hero in the movie My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Unlike Batman Forever, which was based on an existing comic book property, My Super Ex-Girlfriend was an entirely original piece.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend was a comedy that saw Thurman play the superhero G-Girl. The movie’s focus, however, wasn’t about G-Girl saving the world. Instead, it concentrated on the superhero’s romantic relationship with her boyfriend played by Luke Wilson.

Anna Faris has shared the name of the director she alleges “slapped her ass” on a film set.
The actor originally came forward with the allegation in 2017, but did not name which filmmaker she was referring to.
However, according to Deadline, Faris claims in a future episode of her podcast Unqualified that the director was Ivan Reitman.
Reitman, who died in February 2022, directed films including Ghostbusters (1984) and Kindergarten Cop (1990).
Faris claims that Reitman touched her inappropriately on the set of 2006 romantic comedy My Super Ex-Girlfriend, in which she co-starred with Luke Wilson and Uma Thurman.
According to the outlet, she told guest Lena Dunham: “One of my hardest film experiences was with Ivan Reitman. I mean, the idea of attempting to make a comedy under this, like, reign of terror... he was a yeller. He would bring down somebody every day – and my first day, it was me.”

After going without a host at the 93rd annual Academy Awards in 2021, as well as during the Oscars ceremonies in 2020 and 2019, this year’s big movie night is swinging things in the other direction. Three individuals are set to share hosting duties for the 94th Academy Awards on March 27: Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall, and Amy Schumer have all been tapped to steward the event.
Perhaps in an effort to increase fledgling ratings, the three women will also have a prime platform to entertain audiences both inside of the Dolby Theatre and at home by showcasing their distinctive comedy chops. While the Oscars routinely go back to the well with multi-time hosts like Billy Crystal and Jimmy Kimmel, this will be the first opportunity for all three women, and it will be exciting to see how the multi-tiered, fresh approach works.

This story about high-level corporate fraud is truly wild, enough so to accommodate several books, podcasts, and even an upcoming film starring Jennifer Lawrence. Chicago – He helmed some of the most beloved comedies of the last three decades of the 20th Century, including “Meatballs,” “Stripes,” “Twins” “Kindergarten Cop” and of course “Ghostbusters” (and its sequel). Ivan Reitman passed away on February 12th, 2022. He was age 75.
Reitman was born in Czechoslovakia, and moved with his family to Canada as a child. He graduated from McMasters University (Ontario) with a degree in music, but he also produced and directed several short films while there. After working in television and as a producer for stage he moved into film production. After producing a couple films for director David Cronenberg, he caught his big break as the producer of “Animal House” in 1978.

It is with a heavy heart we report the sudden death of filmmaker Ivan Reitman at the age of 75.
The ‘Ghostbusters’ director passed away in his sleep on the 12th of February, as yet, the cause of death is yet to be announced.
Jason Reitman, Catherine Reitman, and Caroline Reitman in a joint statement said: “Our family is grieving the unexpected loss of a husband, father, and grandfather who taught us to always seek the magic in life. We take comfort that his work as a filmmaker brought laughter and happiness to countless others around the world. While we mourn privately, we hope those who knew him through his films will remember him always.”
Born in Czechoslovakia and raised in Canada, Reitman rose to prominence during the ’70s with his work as a Producer on films such as ‘National Lampoon’s Animal House’ before jumping to direct with ‘Foxy Lady.’ Before too long,...

Fresh off the long-awaited arrival of Zack Snyder’s Justice League (a.k.a. the fabled Snyder Cut), HBO Max has no need to appease fandom culture in April 2021. But the streaming service is gonna do it anyway!
The most notable new release for HBO Max this month is the HBO series The Nevers. This show, created by Joss Whedon, is set in a 19th century steampunk London and finds a sizable portion of the population (predominantly women) having been “Touched” by mysterious paranormal powers. There’s an interesting bit of irony at play here, as HBO Max is following up the Snyder Cut with a show created by his original Justice League replacement. Or at least there could have been an interesting bit of irony here, if Whedon had not bowed out from the show and been enthusiastically left out of the marketing material by HBO.

From “Condorman” to “Hancock,” from “Blankman” to “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” the history of the superhero comedy is a less than illustrious one. Sure, the Marvel movies are pretty funny, but it’s surprising given the dominance of the comic book hero at the box office right now, that we haven’t seen more successful comic riffs on the underwear-over-tights genre. But one might have finally arrived. “SuperBob,” from director Jon Drever, hits cinemas in the U.K. in a few weeks, and it’s being billed by some as a sort of superheroic “Shaun Of The Dead.” Co-written by and starring “Derek” breakout Brett Goldstein, with “Doctor Who” and “The Office” star Catherine Tate, “Game Of Thrones” actress Natalia Tena, Laura Haddock from “Guardians Of The Galaxy,” and David Harewood from “Homeland,” among various familiar faces in support, the film focuses on the titular superhero, the only one in the world,...

Meatballs, Stripes, Ghostbusters and Dave are four of Ivan Reitman‘s films that have stood the test of time. When Reitman was on top of his game, the now 67-year-old filmmaker hit grand slams. I’m not using these sports metaphors because his latest film, Draft Day, includes the NFL Draft, but because, like athletes, some directors have hot streaks and cold streaks. For an array of reasons, slumps happen. Reitman’s lasted 18 years. After Dave he directed Junior, Father’s Day, Evolution, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and Six Days, Seven Nights. A few of those films had glimmers of hope that Reitman hadn’t lost his touch, but during those years, only as a producer was he making quality movies. People generally focus on the films that proceeded Dave, not Old School, Up in the Air, I Love You, Man and Private Parts, and one of those acclaimed films he came close to directing. “It...

News hit last week that veteran filmmaker Ivan Reitman is stepping down as director of Ghostbusters 3 following the loss of Harold Ramis. Sony are still going ahead with the movie with Reitman as a producer and are hoping to shoot early 2015 in New York. Is that a good or a bad thing? With two of the key creators of the first two films gone, does that mean that the product we’ll eventually be faced with will actually resemble a Ghostbusters movie at all?
That said, it has to be asked: How crucial is the original director to making a ‘true’ Ghostbusters movie in the first place? Yes, Ivan Reitman helped create a comedy classic in the first film, but he was also responsible for the much less well-received Ghostbusters II and hasn’t really had a properly successful film since the ’90s, his last two features as director...

In what can only be viewed as good news, it has been confirmed that Ivan Reitman no longer intends to direct the long-talked-about-despite-the-complete-and-utter-lack-of-actual-forward-progress Ghostbusters 3. No matter whether you are pro or anti further ghost busting, this is a good thing. Why?Well, if you're one of those who wants a third Ghostbusters film and actually want it to be good, well, consider that Reitman is now more than twenty years removed from the last actually good film that he has directed, that being 1993's Dave. In the intervening years he has helmed Junior, Father's Day, Six Days Seven Nights, Evolution, Cooking Lessons, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, No Strings Attached and the yet to be released Draft Day, whose trailers look typically awful. Let's be honest: Is...

Your Top Three is a series where we choose a topic and you give us your top three picks. We previously asked you to rank the best comic book movies and the best superhero performances. But we've never asked for just your favorite superhero movies. So, with Thor: The Dark World out this weekend it's as good a time as ever to remedy this. A majority of the results in the comic book movie poll were for titles not involving superheroes, and that means this is your chance to fill in the spots where you can no longer name stuff like A History of Violence and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Plus, you can now include such nonadapted movies as Hancock, Sky High, Super, Mystery Men, Megamind, Meteor Man, Zoom, Kriish, My Super Ex-Girlfriend and Superhero Movie. As...

The title is pretty clear, Draft Day starring Chadwick Boseman (the star of 42), Jennifer Garner (The Odd Life of Timothy Green), Sean "Diddy" Combs and Kevin Costner (Man of Steel) is about the NFL Draft Day. Specifically, it will focus on the Cleveland Browns and how the General Manager tries to trade up to be the first pick so he can get the player he wants and save football in Cleveland. has a role as does Denis Leary (Ice Age movies), Terry Crews (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), Josh Pence (Fun Size), Brad Henke (Pacific Rim), Ellen Burstyn ("Big Love"), and Frank Langella (The Muppets...Again!), among others. Ivan Reitman (My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Ghostbusters) will direct for Summit Entertainment.

Today we were met with the sad news that writer Don Payne (Thor, The Simpsons) had passed away. Don was a friend to many, including our own Scott Weinberg, who wrote up the following personal essay about his experiences with Don, and what he meant to the people whose lives he touched. The first time Don Payne e-mailed me was to say thanks for being "fair" to his screenwriting debut, the amusing but ultimately unsuccessful My Super Ex-Girlfriend. That Don was already established as a writer on no less a series than The Simpsons made the relative failure of Super Ex a little easier to swallow -- but I know he cared about nasty reviews. Don used to send me e-mails filled with links to Super Ex reviews. Some he listed as "negative but insightful" and others he...

It’s back! It’s bold! It’s…not as beautiful as the stars themselves. But here’s some more awkward and baffling IMdB photos for your viewing pleasure. Remember, this isn’t to mock the actors themselves, just their unfortunate photos. If you missed out on parts one and two, you can always go back and check them out!

5. Luke Wilson is –Hhhhuuunngggeeeyyyaaaahh…phew
It appears that Mr. Wilson (who I find to be great and horrifically underused) is having some bowel troubles. Or is experiencing the pain of having his foot crushed by a semi. Or maybe he’s just watching My Super Ex-Girlfriend. He’s got much better photos than this one, so I’m not certain why this one was chosen. Maybe he can explain.
