If Capcom was a Hollywood director, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess would be the epitome of a “one for me” project, the kind of thing you hope a creative entity would spend its clout on after delivering a long string of hits. It represents a long overdue return to the kind of game that Capcom was making in the mid-aughts with wildly imaginative brio, when it was throwing all sorts of ideas at the wall to see what stuck. This is the period that gave us the likes of Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, Ōkami, God Hand, and No More Heroes, critical darlings that failed to set the charts on fire but hold a place of honor in many an intrepid gamer’s heart.
Kunitsu-Gami feels like a late arrival to a party that got cut short nearly 20 years ago. It is, at heart, a tower defense game, but it’s...

The original Dead Rising was one of the first games on the Xbox 360 I remember getting really hyped about. The young console needed something that truly took advantage of its power, and the zombie-survival title seemed like the perfect test subject. From a technical standpoint, I was correct on that hunch. Problem was, due to the strict time limit imposed by the game, I didn’t really enjoy playing it. I know that that challenge has drawn its fair share of praise, but it just wasn’t for me. As such, I avoided the later entries in the series, even knowing mechanics were being reconfigured. 11 years later, though, much like Frank West, I have returned to the series with Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package.
After taking an extended hiatus from the series, original protagonist Frank West is once again stuck in the hell on Earth known as Willamette,...

As the Wii U makes way for Nintendo Switch, we celebrate the system's underappreciated exclusive games...
The news wasn't necessarily a surprise, but it was a little sad nevertheless: on the 19th January 2017, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime announced that The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild would be the last first-party game for the Wii U.
See related Shane Black: a career retrospective Zack Snyder interview: Batman V Superman
From a software standpoint, this brings the struggling console's life to a quiet end, less than six years after its launch in November 2012. The Wii U, it seemed, had the odds stacked against it from the very beginning; with that awkward-sounding name and chunky-looking controller, it lacked the immediately understandable simplicity of its predecessor.
The system offered the HD resolution sorely missing from the Wii, yet the much more powerful PlayStation 4 and Xbox...

Fighting game enthusiasts will no doubt be ecstatic following Capcom’s announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite last weekend, but the publisher’s revival of the dormant beat ’em up series is just the start of a new direction for the company. In a press release (via IGN) dispatched earlier today, Capcom said that “in addition to regular major title releases each fiscal year, Capcom is currently focused on reviving series that have not had new entries recently, or otherwise dormant IP.”
Normally, we’d have no trouble sussing out what inert franchises would be first in line to get a much-needed jolt from a defibrillator, but owing to the fact that Capcom’s back catalogue is so vast, it’s not as easy as you’d think. Viewtiful Joe, Power Stone, Mega Man, Dragon’s Dogma and even the Devil May Cry franchise have all gone years without a proper sequel,...

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the GameCube's North American launch and while many gamers still feel the tiny console marked the beginning of the end for Nintendo's dominancy, it did give us some great titles worthy of remastered versions for the new generation.
It's hard to believe that it's been 15 years since Nintendo brought out the GameCube to compete with the PS2 and Microsoft's new-fangled machine, the Xbox. Despite it's size, the house of Mario managed to pack in quite a bit of power in the machine, giving us some great games along the way, though the quantity of them seemed to be lacking...
These days, HD remasters from previous generation titles are not uncommon. Hell, Kingdom Hearts has been remastered for Two generations at this point, and fans are gobbling them up. Nintendo has been slower in this area, however, giving us updated versions of some Zelda titles,...

To boost profits, Capcom could be revisiting old IP that "have not yet been utilised to their full potential," the company says...
We've already heard Capcom admit to investors that Street Fighter V required "a little more time" in development before its release in March, and how its lower-than-expected sales have prompted a bit of a rethink at the Japanese firm. In short, it pledges to spend more time polishing a game rather than rush it out for a preset release window; "It's best to spend a littel more time in developing and running a high-quality title that will perform well globally," Capcom said.
As part of its future strategy, Capcom has said it's also set to "increase the ratio of internally developed titles" and also look back into its extensive archive of games and properties.

Nintendo kicked off their first post-Iwata Direct last night with the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD coming to the Wii U. While it's nice to see Nintendo give more games the re-master treatment, I feel like there are some better options than another Zelda title. Let's take a look at some.
Personally speaking, I never cared for Twilight Princess when it release on the GameCube/Wii. I just couldn't get into it, and it felt far more tedious than enjoyable. Game companies giving their older games HD re-masters isn't anything new, but Nintendo hasn't fully embraced the trend, despite having a solid catalog of games to choose from. To be fair, licensing for some of the properties I mention below are likely the reason why they haven't gotten an HD version, but this is a wish list...so let's get to wishing!

Let’s admit that as gamers we’re all a bit superficial. I mean, nothing attracts the attention of the gaming world like some good old-fashioned eye candy, right? Visuals seem to be the main focus of every single console generation, dating all the way back to George Plimpton touting the Intellivision’s “realistic” graphical superiority in baseball or golf over Atari’s 2600, and with this year’s E3, things are no different. With the big Aaa releases like Fallout 4 or Uncharted 4, gamers are of course looking to be wowed, but even smaller releases like Cuphead can garner their share of attention by doing something aesthetically different. Strangely enough, two side-scrollers decided to incorporate a similar tactile motif, and while the results will undoubtedly be much different experiences, by fashioning characters and worlds made of soft, fuzzy yarn, both Unravel and Yoshi’s Woolly World have already turned heads and...

GameCube (2001)
Charm can go a long ways. Just ask the average-looking person dating someone out of their league, or the not-so-smart guy at work who somehow got the promotion you know you’d be more qualified for. Nintendo’s Gamecube may have lacked some of the more obvious desirable video game console traits, but it more than made up for it with quirky appeal and some of the most offbeat and memorable risks of Nintendo’s long history. Right off the bat you couldn’t help notice that this adorable little box was purple, with a handle on the end that made it seem more like a portable toy than a high-powered gaming machine. There was a choice immediately to be made, and you either walked away, or (like myself), not only rolled with it but cracked a big smile. The Gamecube may be the most “Nintendo” console the company has ever made,...

Nintendo celebrated its 125th Anniversary last year, with the company founded on 23rd September 1889 in Kyoto, where its headquarters remain. The company has had an extraordinary history, originally producing handmade handful playing cards and several small niche businesses (including a cab service and luxury hotels), but since 1977, Nintendo has grown into one of the world’s most prolific and beloved video game makers.
Nintendo became a household name outside of Japan in 1985 with the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Platinum Games
Platinum Games has never been a subtle studio. We’re talking about the independent developer that began as Odd Limited, made waves as Clover Studio with such hits as Okami and Viewtiful Joe, and went on to become one of the most flamboyant members of today’s gaming sphere.
Old Platinum is currently working on Xbox One exclusive Scalebound, but Madworld, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Vanquish and more are on their roster. But none have found the same audience as the now two-part action series Bayonetta. However, as is often the case with radically stylized media (particularly something as interactive and therefore personal as video games), that audience isn’t entirely happy.
It’s unsurprising, really. The gaming demographic has always wrestled with sensitive topics like the treatment of women and morality in games. And while other games tip-toe sheepishly around the topic, Bayonetta, both the IP and the modern witch herself,...

Chaos Legion
Capcom Studio 6
Capcom
PS2, PC
When Chaos Legion first appeared on the scene during Capcom’s glory days, it was an easy game to ignore. With flashy sequels like Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 2 about, and wildly inventive new titles like Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and Killer 7 (all developed by Capcom) debuting during the same time period, it isn’t terribly difficult to see how a game like Chaos Legion might fall by the way side–but it’s too bad that it did.
Today, in a market where original titles are much rarer than they once were, a game like Chaos Legion feels very quaint, especially in that it was drowned out mainly by the release of other original properties. Fast forward 11 years to 2014, a time where new properties are unimaginably scarce, and successful ones are released with even less regularity outside of the indie scene. Games...

Bayonetta 2 is not the prettiest game to release this year. It’s also not the most heavily advertised, tirelessly marketed, or even longest-developed when it comes to particularly excessive development cycles. Despite its lack of mainstream flair, one category Bayonetta 2 absolutely does fall into is a coveted one: Game of the Year contender. I could stop there, but I’ll assume you came here for specific details and continue.
Much like the Wii’s Platinum-developed MadWorld, Bayonetta carves out a unique niche of mature-rated content on a Nintendo console. That’s not all this sequel strives for, though — as the successor to a game found exclusively on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Bayonetta 2 represents a sort of testing ground for Nintendo and Wii U. What was it that turned the hardcore gamer off of the original Wii? Was it the Sd graphics? The wand? Bayonetta’s commercial success (or lack thereof) on...

Odd List
The complex process of making a game requires the coordination of programmers, artists, designers, musicians and accountants. It's little surprise, then, that things can change drastically over the course of the months or even years it takes to make a game, and history is littered with examples of this.
Take, for example, Team Fortress 2, a shooter that went through multiple iterations and even changes in art style before the final version became a popular success. There are far, far too many other examples to list here, so what we've done is whittle our selection down to the ones we either found the most interesting or the most significant from a historical point of view.

The Wonderful 101 has been a year coming – it’s been part of Nintendo’s many show reels for the Wii U system since its release, and it was one of the most popular demos at last year’s New York Comic Con. And it has been worth every minute.
Conquering alien horde Geathjerk has set its sights on Earth, and the secret army of the Centinels, code named “The Wonderful 100″ is out last hope against with you leading them, the “101st”. The team saves citizens, and then quickly deputizes them into duty, using them like building blocks to form weapons and tools to fight the rampaging monsters.
Another work from Hideki Kamiya, produced by Atsushi Inaba, it’s got a lot in common with their Viewtiful Joe series for the Game Cube. If Viewtiful Joe was a love letter to the Kamen Rider series, Wonderful 101 is a love letter to the Super Sentai series,...

Though Bethesda and horror may sound like an odd combination, Tango Gameworks’ upcoming survival horror game The Evil Within is certainly no joke. Don’t take my word for it either- just look at this new Tgs trailer. I do pretty well with horror movies, but even so, this is the type of thing that freaks me the bleep out in a major way.
The game is headed up by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, and it’s being pitched to the public as possibly his last directorial effort. In other words, if that’s actually true, then he likely intends to leave nothing on the table. Bethesda had the following to say regarding the game and its just-announced presence at the 2013 Tokyo Game Show.

Hideki Kamiya has a lot of experience developing home console titles. His thoroughly impressive repertoire includes the likes of Devil May Cry, Resident Evil 2, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Bayonetta, so it’s understandable that he might want to try his hand at a portable release for a change. With development finally wrapped up on Wii U title The Wonderful 101, now seems like the perfect time. In a recent discussion with Siliconera at Pax, the Platinum Games director said the following regarding the studio’s relationship with Nintendo and some of his ideas for potential 3Ds games.
Given the chance, I’d like to make a game based on Jeanne from Bayonetta. Something that’s not as big in scale. Something that’s portable, that you could play in quick sessions, where she’s a history teacher and the kind of fun things that could come out of a scenario like that.

There are times when it’s hard not to feel as though Capcom possesses both an endearing carelessness and a somewhat sadistic sense of humor when it comes to handling its own IP. Take the most recent news regarding its beloved cult action hero Viewtiful Joe. Interpretation #1: Joe’s back! Capcom was cool enough to let an indie developer use him in their 2D brawler! Interpretation #2: Wait, Capcom hasn’t completely forgotten about Joe? They neglected to acknowledge his existence for years, and have now green-lit him appearing in a 99¢ phone game? Why does he sound totally dweebie when he says “Henshin a go-go” now? This is just one example, but it’s a phenomenon that permeates many of their properties, be it Mega Man, Resident Evil, or yes, even Lost Planet.
Lost Planet 3 finds itself in a similar sort of pseudo-perverse situation. After a relatively disappointing second game,...

Nintendo announced this morning during their latest Nintendo Direct presentation that Platinum Games’ The Wonderful 101 will be released for the Wii U on September 15th in North America, and on August 23rd across Europe.
Platinum Games first debuted The Wonderful 101 under the working title Project P-100 back at E3 2012. The title was originally supposed to be released before March 31, 2013 as one of the Wii U’s many “launch window” titles. Sadly, like far too many of the games in that lineup, it was quietly delayed and pushed off the list shortly after the Wii U landed at retailers.
For those who are just now hearing about Platinum Games’ Wii U title, The Wonderful 101 is a little bit like a cross between Pikmin and Costume Quest, with a Viewtiful Joe art style thrown in for good measure. Players control a group of superheroes who can transform into giant weapons to rescue...

Pax East wrapped up Sunday evening, and after spending three days having my senses assaulted by blaring speakers, flashing lights and screaming fans, I feel like I got hit by a bus that was cosplaying as the Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine. With many companies waiting for E3 to make their big announcements, there didn’t seem to be as many huge titles on display this year, but it gave smaller independent games more time in the spotlight. One of the more exciting announcements from the latest Nintendo Direct, was that The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker would be getting and HD re-release. It’s not just the knowledge that we’ll be getting a chance to replay a great Zelda game that has us interested, it’s the fact that this means Nintendo is willing to push out HD versions of their older games (as PS3 and Xbox have been doing). This got me to thinking about other Gamecube era games I’d love to see get an HD re-release...and this is what I came up with.
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
All of us here at Cinelinx are big Metal Gear Solid fans, and outside of possibly Dustin, I’m probably the biggest fan here. I’ve got all the games in various platforms, and even languages. When the Metal Gear Solid HD collection came out,...

With around 80,000 tweets, many of them one or two-word smackdowns of curious fans who've deigned to ask him to same question for the hundredth or thousandth time, Platinum Games' designer/director Hideki Kamiya, (PG_Kamiya) may not be the meanest man on Twitter, but he's in the running.
So if you want to know how to chat at the prickly (and also brilliant) game designer behind "Resident Evil 2," the original "Devil May Cry," "Bayonetta," and "Viewtiful Joe," you might want to follow these handy tips.
Compliments are always welcome

Middle Eastern games development is still relatively rare and extremely difficult, but Team FoodFighter, a group of four Jordanian artists, programmers, and designers, feel confident in their attempt to bring their first game to life.
“It won’t be easy, but we have a solid team that is committed to what they are doing,” Ibrahim Yasir, one-fourth of Team FoodFighter and the group’s unofficial spokesman. “We want to show the world who we are,” he told Polygon recently.
"Saman" -- the Arabic word for idol -- is the team’s first project, a sidescrolling action-playformer about a radish named Fijleh who sets out to prevent the gods from destroying his country. Fijleh carries a sword made of broccoli. The story oscillates between operatic melodrama and lighthearted whimsy (the gods in question are angry because someone barfed after a party), but the platforming and gameplay were inspired...

Back at E3 Nintendo did their best to avoid drawing any attention to one of the best reasons to be excited for the Wii U, a little game called Project P-100. At their Wii U press event yesterday The Big N finally put Platinum Games’ title center stage, revealing that the game has been renamed The Wonderful 101.
For those that have not been keeping up with the title, The Wonderful 101 is a little bit like a cross between Pikmin and Costume Quest, with a Viewtiful Joe art style. Players control a group of superheroes who can transform into larger weapons to fight off an invading alien force, and rescue large groups of survivors.
The entire game has a great lighthearted feel to it, and just looks like a ton of wacky fun.
Check out The Wonderful 101‘s new trailer below, along with some new screenshots in our gallery.

Chicago – An art space in the West Loop was recently turned into a showcase for the next Nintendo console, the highly-anticipated Nintendo Wii U and we were there to get our hands on the exciting new system. What can gamers expect from the next generation of Nintendo games? Does it mark a massive step forward or a gradual one? And can Nintendo rise again in the way they did right when the popularity of the Nintendo Wii was at its peak? While many questions remain unanswered, the hands-on demonstration with the Wii U made it clear how this system will play in your homes, probably by the end of the year. Read on to find out.
The first thing you need to know is something that was stressed repeatedly before we even got near a TV screen or a Wii-mote — this is an entirely new system. It is not a new controller.

It’s a rare opportunity to be a PS2 owner. Even after the system’s discontinuation, department stores are more likely than not to have at least a bin with a mish-mash pile o’ PS2 games, usually with a “50% off!” or a “Buy 3 get 1 free!” deal. Mostly because I’m way too cheap, I somehow haggled (without actually haggling) for a modern classic. Let’s say it’s been a while since I went on an odyssey like Okami.
Okami was the second-to-last game developed by Clover and published by Capcom. You’d probably know Clover for Viewtiful Joe and God Hand. But to me, Okami looks like the kind of game the developers really wanted to make. The game has already been compared to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus as one of the most visually impressive games on the PS2. Honestly, for every person who points to PS2 graphics looking dated,...

Revealed this week at Comic-Con, Capcom have announced that an upgraded version of this year’s successful Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is coming in the form of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, that is promising to have plenty of new tweaks.
The game will feature twelve new additional characters, all of which have been accidentally leaked online as Hawkeye, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, Strider Hiryu, Nova, Phoenix Wright, Doctor Strange, Vergil, Rocket Raccoon, Nemesis, Iron Fist and Frank West.
The game also features some new stages and also has an online spectator mode, as well as some supposed tweaks to the gameplay. Unfortunately, the game is rumored to only be available for purchasing on disc and not able to download for consoles, which is a shame for those like myself who already own the disc to Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

So the summer is here and perhaps now is the perfect opportunity to catch up on some of the games that perhaps you’ve missed or just had lying on the shelf gathering dust. For a bit of summer time diversion solo or with your mates, beer in hand, it’s very easy this year to recommend one of the latest fighters. This year’s certainly been a good one for the fighting genre and perhaps now is the perfect time for you to limber up your perfectly timed Hadouken spam or to pick up a rope spear for the very first time.
The fighting genre has undertaken a veritable resurgence in the last few years and continuing community and publisher commitment mean that the genre’s latest and greatest are perfect fodder for your summer time restlessness. It’s no surprise that fans of the Devil May Cry franchise have been anything but happy at the direction that developer Ninja Theory is taking the latest game in the franchise. Dubbed Dmc, the game has since been called a reboot and is reportedly an origin story for Dante.
While publisher Capcom expected fan reaction to Dante’s character change to be negative, they have since gone ahead with the project, showing off a slightly different version of the character at E3 in a gameplay trailer. However, fans, who are generally afraid of change of any kind, have still reacted negativity to the direction of the game, although the style is somewhat refreshing after the disaster that was Devil May Cry 4.
Enter Platinum Games. Platinum Games is an evolution of Capcom’s former Clover Studios and features key talent from that group such as Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya.

Possibly the greatest thing about Capcom's Vs. series of games has always been the crossover aspect – seeing your favorite characters from one universe interacting with your favorite characters from another is a fanboy's dream come true. As the third game in the "Marvel Vs. Capcom" series, "MvC3" follows in this great tradition smashing Marvel and Capcom worlds together once again. However, in the game itself, there are only 36 characters to choose from, leaving hundreds of other characters, from both universes, out in the cold. Fear not, Marvel and Capcom were able to come up with a solution: cameos.
We've seen cameos before, but "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3" seems to take them to a new level of fan service. A variety of unexpected characters are actually in "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3," they just aren't playable characters. The endings for many of the fighters in the game not only wrap up what happens after Galactus is defeated,...

A decade is a long time to wait for a sequel, but when Capcom lost the license for Marvel fighting games after "Marvel Vs. Capcom 2" it became apparent that hope could be lost for a third title in the series. However, it seems that the last ten years was actually more of an incubation period than anything else, allowing both Marvel and Capcom time to hone their skills when it comes to the cross-over fighting game, and wait for the right time to strike with "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds." Bringing together some of the most recognizable characters from both universes, "MvC 3" may be the biggest example of a fan service game ever released on a console.
The Basics
"Marvel Vs. Capcom 3" is a fighting game in the tradition of Capcom's Vs. series, which takes two different intellectual property holders and pits their best characters against one another.

After a ten year lapse, the "Marvel Vs. Capcom" franchise has returned with a new game, "Fate of Two Worlds," and a new lineup. Although "Marvel Vs. Capcom 3" only has about half of the characters that its predecessor had, there's still a lot of variety and newcomers on both the Marvel and Capcom sides, which means that there's a whole lot of new moves to learn.
To help you out, we've put together this handy move guide for the characters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3," complete with all of their special moves and hyper combos. While things may not have changed too much for Chun-Li and Ryu, even veteran fans will have new moves to master (particularly the extensive combos for Dante and She-Hulk).
Note: We'll be adding the remaining characters as the game gets closer to release.

Yesterday I wrote up the news on "Max Anarchy," the upcoming 2011 release from PlatinumGames that producer Atsushi Inaba described as a "massively multiplayer melee fighting action" game. It turns out that I'm a liar. Sega revealed today that the game will be called "Anarchy Reigns" for its North American and European release, which is still pegged for fall 2011.
The Sega press release reiterates what Inaba said in the interview reported on yesterday. "Anarchy Reigns" turns the traditional brawler-style interactive experience on its head by bringing the action online. There will be different kinds of multiplayer challenges to participate in, including Tag Team battle and Battle Royal, "where players can challenge each other for a full-on fight for victory."
There's no much more than that. Inaba confirmed in yesterday's report that "MadWorld" protagonist Jack will be a playable character in the game, but the press release makes no mention of him...

Capcom took over the New York Comic Con (Nycc) floor this weekend with new updates on playable characters in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. On Friday, Capcom revealed that Sir Arthur, the brave knight from Ghost ‘n Goblins, would be joining Team Capcom along with the bionic-arm wielding Nathan “Rad” Spencer. The crowd cheered as Sir Arthur and Rad joined the Capcom dugout with previous revealed Capcom players Wesker, Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Trish and Chun-Li. Alas, the celebration was short lived. Two Marvel Comics baddies decided to step up and show Capcom that they were ready to put aside petty rivalries in the name of Marvel honor. Magneto and M.O.D.O.K. Capcom's 30-plus fighters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" have been steadily coming into focus since the new sequel was announced earlier this year. In the meantime, the release date has been shrouded in ambiguity somewhere in the new year. A Capcom annual report to investors may have roped off a window, however, placing its launch somewhere between January 1 and March 31, 2011.
The forecast came in a chart labeled "Game Software Sales Forecast for the Fiscal Year Ending March 31, 2011" posted in the report on Capcom.co.jp. Capcom didn't get any more specific than that, but their notes do give us all a functional deadline to plan around unless plans change.
Capcom and Marvel fans alike should be able to embrace that information, as well as Viewtiful Joe, Dormammu, Thor, Amerterasu and everyone else who'll be showing up. Considering that the game was just announced last April, getting it out on schedule within...

The march of "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" characters continues, as two more playable fighters were revealed by Capcom today: Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu, the arch-foe of Doctor Strange.
Viewtiful Joe's presence in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who watched the last "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" trailer closely. Keen eyes spotted Viewtiful Joe among the mysterious silhouettes of characters flashed on the screen at the end of the trailer. Thankfully it's pretty easy to make out a 3-foot-tall dude with a giant head and tiny body.
He makes for a pretty obvious fit in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3," as his time-slowing abilities and over-the-top Hollywood style would work really well for the franchise. Also, Capcom already included him in their last fighting game, "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars."
And then there's Dormammu. Of all the Marvel characters with flaming heads, he's certainly not the most well-known. And yet,...

We already knew who quite a few of the fighters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" were, and we've seen trailers of several of them in action. A leaked list may have filled in on the blanks, however, including Wolverine's petite femme counterpart X-23 and Mike Haggar of "Final Fight," among others.
The rosters showed up on the German site Playfront.de (hat tip to Destructoid), and if they're for real, this is who will be showing up to represent their respective companies:
Marvel
Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Mr. Fantastic, Captain America, Iron Man, War Machine, Elektra, Thor, X-23, Magneto, Dr.

The verdict is still out on whether or not Capcom will be adding new challengers to "Super Street Fighter 4," but "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" received a shipment of new faces in time for Comic-Con International in San Diego this week. Marvel and Capcom contributed two characters apiece, and a group shot of silhouettes indicates that still more reveals await.
Doctor Doom, Super-Skrull, Trish from "Devil May Cry" and Chun-Li will all be present in"MvC3," according to a new post on the Capcom Unity blog. The game isn't due out until Spring 2011, but Capcom wanted to make sure everyone was aware of it and their Friday Comic-Con panel where writer Frank Tieri is scheduled to show up. If you've ever run into him at a comic show before, you'll know that he's a fun one to listen to, and it sounds like a surprise or two could be in the works.

Shinji Mikami left a daunting shadow for his successors when he checked out from the Resident Evil franchise, but right now he's looking to launch an entirely new IP with his Sega-published shooter "Vanquish." The game already had a European release date set for October 22, but the U.S. will have games ready to sell on October 19.
"Vanquish" will also have some exclusive weapons available to those who pre-order it from GameStop, according to a Sega press release. The three-weapon bundle, which will be creatively titled "The Tri-Weapon pack," includes the following firearms:
• Boost Machine Gun - "an early experimental weapon with impressive overall fire power and the speed to dispense rounds similar to that of a heavy machine gun"
• Anti-Armor Pistol - "fires special penetrative shell and was manufactured to tackle hostile forces with much stronger armor"
• Laser Cannon - "miniaturized space warship laser and is more powerful...

Controversial? Yeah probably, but Monster Hunter needs a representative. Monster Hunter is a huge franchise for Capcom and excluding the franchise from the upcoming fray just doesn’t make much sense. Since there are very few recurring characters in the Monster Hunter franchise,...
