As of January of 2015, 17 addicts who have appeared on the show have died. Most of the deaths are either directly or indirectly related to their addiction, like overdoses or health issues as a result of their substance abuse. Exceptions include Chris Brady (s6e10), Dillon Brewer (s3e6), and John Tyrell (s4e57) who took their own lives and Nik Buckmaster (s5e83) who died due to surgery complications.
Candy Finnigan is recovering alcoholic and Ken Seeley is a former crystal meth addict.
Intervention (2005) was nominated for the 2018 Emmy Award in the Unstructured Reality Program category, but lost to United Shades of America (2016).
In May of 2013, A&E announced that the 13th season of Intervention would be its last. The last episode aired on July 18, 2013. It has since been revived on LMN and the 14th season aired on March 22, 2015.
