The film was in making in 2000 and was to release in 2001. But due to unknown circumstances, the film released in 2005.
Mahima Chaudhary walked out of the film due to problems with the producer. She was then forced back into the film by the film association.
Actress Mahima Chaudhary had moved to the Bombay High Court with a plea to stay the release of her upcoming film Zameer. The actress says in her petition that the producer Nithin Raaj Arayadath was supposed to pay her Rs. 16 Lakh but she was paid only Rs. 6 Lakh. High court Justice D.G. Karnik has however rejected her plea to stay the release of the movie, which is scheduled to release on 25 February. The movie also stars Ajay Devgan and Amisha Patel. Justice Karnik has adjourned the matter for hearing to March 14.
Mahima's voice is dubbed.
The film was previously titled Rahen Na Rahen Hum. Salman's Kyon Ki was also titled this at one point.
