I loved this series!
This was shown on British TV as a 12 part series, each episode representing a month in the year of Emma & her grandfather, and all the seasonal changes which take place over the course of the year in their surroundings.I really loved this series, even tho' I was well into my 40's before I first saw it as a repeat in 1990.(I was watching it with my then 2 yr. old daughter.)The narrator over here was English &,as far as I can remember, the narration wasn't in rhyming couplets, which I would've found irritating. The most surprising thing to me was to find out that Alan Manson("Grandpa") was American, not English. The whole series was done so naturally that I actually thought that Alan Manson was Emma's real grandfather! I watched it again when it was repeated around 1993,but alas,so far as I know,it hasn't been shown since.Such a charming series.

Emma And Grandpa Adventures On The Farm made in 1983 runs 120 minutes The movie stars Alan Mason as(Grandpa),Emma Helmer as (Emma) and Cindy as (The Dog) Narrated by: Shelley Winters This program is fun for the whole family to enjoy. Shelley Winters does an excellent job as the narrator. You have a story here that is about Emma and Grandpa's Adventures On The Farm. The adventure is shared as a movie and not animated. The program/movie was made for British Television with a unique combination of live action with voice-over narration by (Shelley Winters). I hope everyone gets a chance to see this program with their children.
