DON'T research the credits before screening!!!

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER: Fortunately I watched this forgotten film on a newly arrived Something Weird DVD before researching it, and I advise all interested fans to do the same. It came as a pleasant surprise to discover the identity of the very unknown leading lady AFTER already watching the film. It is a poorly made feature, redeemable only because of her advertised 45-inch bust: a very phony drama of a woman coming to NYC in search of stardom, only to be suckered into cheesecake photography and then physically attacked by her unscrupulous agent.

A painfully phony structure has her pouring her heart out to a good samaritan, who listens with interest EXCEPT when he's constantly being interrupted by phone calls, that are obviously more important to him than her little tale of woe. He makes her watch nudist camp films (!) and then somehow talks her into visiting a nudist camp with him to help on a documentary he's preparing. Before you can click your heels together a couple of times, the film switches from black & white to COLOR, and after some extremely dull footage of nudist camp denizens, giving fake interviews (we previously listened to pinup models giving even sillier interviews) the film culminates with about four minutes of heroine Brenda topless -a truly memorable sight.

With such mammoth natural-looking mammaries, rivaling professional strippers like Ann Howe for example, Brenda actually comes across as a very likable talent, who never starred in a film after this one. But when you discover who she really was -what a REVELATION -it's a terrific cheap thrill. Just watch it cold, with no preparation, like the old Leonard Feather blindfold test approach to listening to jazz without knowing who's playing.
