Darin Beckstead, the filmmaker behind Courage & Stupidity, a 25-minute film that reimagined Spielberg’s troubled experiences while making Jaws, is now throwing a hat into the horror genre with his tongue-in-cheek short titled Zombie Valley.
Zombie Valley stars Bus Riley, who was cast to reflect a bit of George Romero, as if the famous filmmaker were caught in one of his own nightmares. It was filmed in promotion of a very different and theatrical project Beckstead currently has in development.
Considering Courage & Stupidity became the first short film to secure a standalone distribution deal with Netflix and Beckstead recently won Best Picture at the Coney Island Film Festival for his feature film Somebody's Hero, we have a feeling he's someone to keep a close eye on! Check out Zombie Valley below along with a trailer for Courage & Stupidity (after all, who doesn't love Jaws) and let us know what you think.
