- Twin children with special powers face dangers as they're destined to save China from a cruel king after soothsayers warn him of their existence.
- The legendary twins are the story of two children who are supposed to save China from the cruel king at that time, and the soothsayers had given this warning to the king about these twins. These twins have special powers that help them against the dangers and events they confront.—artadj1
- In 1895, there are two simultaneous births of children to different parents in Shanghai, China, under the light of a full moon. The conditions of their birth match those described in a prophecy foretold by the soothsayer Lao Tzu, and the children are predicted to play a role in the downfall of the tyrannical empire of the Qing dynasty. Empress Dowager Cixi, the regent of China, knows of this prophecy and orders the execution of the newborns. A secret society of rebels instead arranges for the infants to be transported to France by ship. The so-called "Twins" are raised by their adoptive father Captain Tournier, and given the names Jules (for the boy) and Julie (for the girl). In 1907, the 12-year-old twins are orphaned when Tournier dies due to natural causes. But the twins have developed supernatural powers and they are informed of their mission to transport a set of Stone Tablets to the Forbidden City, as part of the prophecy. They cross Eurasia by land and sea while heading to Beijing, facing the agents of the Empress and several unrelated foes during their journeys.—Dimos I
