It feels like Emmy season has already been going on for months – and it technically has, thanks to For Your Consideration events, which started in the spring, but now will pick up in intensity and frequency. For now it’s truly showtime: Phase One ballots have been sent to the more than 20,000 members of the Television Academy, and voting is underway.
After all the screenings, campaigning and coverage, it’s now up to the voters to decide. The ultimate category nominations will be revealed on Thursday, July 13, at the Television Academy’s Saban Theatre in North Hollywood. (And then we’re on to the final competition!)
But before the first round of voting ends on June 26, here are some of this year’s burning questions inside the Primetime Emmy race:

Ali G: Rezurection
Actor and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has signed a first look TV deal with FX Productions. The deal kicks off with the Fxx channel to premiere previously unaired episodes of his landmark 2003 comedy series "Da Ali G Show" which originally aired on HBO.
Dubbed "Ali G: Rezurection," the run kicks off February 2014 and will include every episode made of the series, even the few which HBO didn't air. It will also feature new introductions from Baron Cohen. [Source: The Live Feed]

ABC has given full-season orders to its new sitcoms "The Goldbergs" and "Trophy Wife", plus an additional four eps for "Super Fun Night".

Baranski 'Game' for sitcom
Emmy winner Christine Baranski is set to join Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alyson Hannigan and Ed O'Neill in ABC's upcoming comedy series In the Game. Game, from Touchstone TV and Handprint Entertainment, centers on an up-and-coming sports producer (Hewitt) who unwittingly becomes an on-camera reporter on a sports TV show. Ed O'Neill co-stars as the show's executive producer. Hannigan will play Hewitt's character's best friend, while Baranski will play the senior reporter on the show. Baranski, an Emmy winner for her role on CBS' sitcom Cybill, most recently co-starred in the NBC comedy Happy Family. She's repped by UTA and Viking Entertainment's Lisa Loosemore.
