Not a great game by any stretch of the imagination, it was worth the rental. In the game you play as Michael Jackson and you must rescue children kidnapped for reasons only the writers and creators of this game know for sure. You attack people by doing a few dance moves and at times it is advantageous to unleash your ultimate attack! A movie that makes you spin around and makes all the enemies join in and dance with you. I always enjoyed trying to get as many bad guys and animals on the screen and in different places to make it really epic. By today's standards it is not going to hold up well. The 16-bit sound in no way comparing to a CD based video game. Still, you hear some of Jackson's music as you go through various levels, it is a better game based on a movie than they make these days. It does not seem to steal its game play from another game, but rather actually tries to bring something new to the table. However, the point in the game you turn into a robot is strange to say the least. There is also sort of a flying stage at the end as you take on the villain who was played by Joe Pesci in the film. Not going to say it was great, but like I said it was a fun rental at the time. Not a Revenge of Shinobi type fun, but it had its moments.
