Billboard, the world’s largest voice in music, announces today it will honor Selena Gomez with its 2017 Woman of the Year award.
The award-winning singer, producer and actress will receive the honor at the Women in Music dinner and awards ceremony November 30, at the world-renowned Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles. This highly-regarded event, held in conjunction with the release of Billboard’s Women in Music issue, will also honor the most powerful female executives in the industry.
“Not only is Selena soaring on the charts, but she continuously inspires young women everywhere to be authentic, give back and to not be afraid to use their voice,” said John Amato, president of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group. “She is never afraid to speak her mind and has used her platform to advocate for the needs of others. We are thrilled to be able to honor her as our Woman of the Year.

2017-04-17T02:55:32-07:00Lady Gaga is First Woman to Headline Coachella
Lady Gaga will make history when she performs at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival this weekend, marking a decade since a solo woman has been billed as a headliner on the prestigious musical stage.
Beyonce had been slated to headline the festival in Indio, California, but backed out because she's pregnant with twins. Bjork was the last solo female to headline Coachella in 2007, so it begs the question: Why has it taken so long?
Women have always performed at Coachella, which began Friday, since it was launched in 1999. In the last few years the number of female performers has grown, including acts that blend alternative and pop, such as Sia and Tegan & Sara, to mega genre-mashers like M.I.A., Janelle Monae and Santigold.
Coachella is known as the festival for cool kids — and musicians.

On Monday, July 26, famed rock producer, manager, and lyricist Sandy Pearlman died at the age of 72. His Wikipedia page says he "was the recipient of 17 gold and platinum records." He managed that despite not actually producing many bands, or even albums -- but he left a big imprint on every one he worked on.
Born in Rockaway (Queens), NY in 1943, he got a college degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook on Long Island in 1966.
A year later, still in the Stony Brook area, he recruited a band so he could have a series of science-fiction poems he'd written (the Imaginos saga, about a group secretly controlling world history) set to music and performed. He named the band Soft White Underbelly after Winston Churchill's epithet for Italy, but changed its name to Oaxaca after Soft White Underbelly got a negative review at a big concert.

The premiere of Andrea Arnold’s American Honey at Cannes on Sunday saw the director and cast show off a few dance moves during their red carpet photo-op, in what Vanity Fair, perhaps channeling a Downton Abbey character, called a “charmingly youthful moment.” Red carpet attire excepted, the spontaneous performance apparently fit right in with the film, which includes a pop soundtrack and a dance scene of its own, per The Telegraph’s Tim Robey:Twice, during Andrea Arnold’s rapturously scuzzy road movie American Honey, Rihanna and Calvin Harris grace the soundtrack with “We Found Love”, their euphoric 2011 dance-floor smash that invites you to drop everything, get high and lose yourself. It’s first heard over the tannoy in an Oklahoma Walmart, where main characters Star (Sasha Lane) and Jake (Shia Labeouf) clap eyes on each other, while the latter’s crew of wasters, waifs and strays grab provisions up and down the aisles.

Sam Smith's Spectre song 'Writing's on the Wall' makes history by becoming the first No.1 Bond theme
Sam Smith has officially made history by clinching the first ever No.1 Bond theme.
The singer's Spectre theme 'Writing's on the Wall' has racked up 70,000 sales to finish 13,000 copies ahead of its closest competitor, Justin Bieber's 'What Do You Mean?'.
22 best and worst Bond theme songs ranked: Every single's here, but which are classics and which need their 00 status revoked?
None of the previous 23 Bond themes have ever topped the charts, with Adele's 'Skyfall' and Duran Duran's 'A View to a Kill' coming closest with number two peaks.
"It was such an honour to be asked to write and record 'Writing's on the Wall' and it's incredible that it's become the first number one Bond theme song," Smith told the Official Charts.
"It's been an unforgettable experience working with Barbara [Broccoli] and Sam [Mendes] to become part of this British legacy. I couldn't have done this without...

It’s been a strange season of The Voice — and not just because of Gwen Stefani’s penchant for pairing torturous heels with tights.
But despite the almost constant shift in contestant momentum and often head-scratching results (Damien over Toia Jones in the Knockouts? Ryan Sill in the Top 8?), something kind of miraculous occurred during tonight’s performance finale: NBC’s reality singing behemoth finally took on its most obvious shortcoming — that it’s never produced an American Idol-level superstar — and did something that may very well obliterate all those “what’s the point of all this, anyway?” criticisms.

So...that didn't go over well. Lifetime's already-controversial biopic on late R&B star Aaliyah premiered to near-universal scorn over the weekend, with fans and the singer's former collaborator Timbaland slamming the film on social media and even spawning the Twitter hashtags #Lifetimebiopics and #LifetimeBeLike, which humorously postulate a number of other potentially-wrongheaded celebrity hagiographies on the network. The rapper/producer was especially harsh, urging fans not to watch and later re-posting several #Lifetimebiopic memes, in addition to a series of videos in which he blasted the film: "A lot of people keep asking me if I’m watching that bullshit," said the hip-hop impresario on Instagram. "Evidently not. No way. Not Timbo." Particular scorn was heaped on talk-show host Wendy Williams, who executive-produced the film for the network, with a number of memes taking her to task for her involvement: A photo posted by Timbo the King (@timbaland) on...

Taylor Swift may be one of the last remaining pop artists on the planet to be able to sell a million albums in one week in the United States. The record industry has been hemorrhaging since the early aughts, but Swift has been adaptable, to say the least. She's a hustler, keeping her spirits and sounds current with the room temperature. She started in 2006 with country-core self-titled set, then worked her ass off through the gazillion-selling "Fearless," the Grammys on "Speak Now," the massive crossover of hits like "I Knew You Were Trouble" and novelty "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" off of "Red." The 24-year-old is firmly pop now for "1989," which will breed more certifiable radio staples than just "Shake It Off." "Blank Space" is apparently primed to be the official second single and it is an experiment to say the least (read the track-by-track below). "Welcome to New York" has legs because,...

Source: Getty / James Devaney It appears that Beyoncé has removed her "IV" wedding tattoo, which she got for Jay Z after their engagement. The Standard Hotel staffer who leaked the Jay Z and Solange Knowles video was fired for breaching security policies. However, he or she reportedly made $250,000 from the video. Rihanna and Drake have reportedly split again after "another fight." Their on-again, off-again romance had been back on since around February, and a source says "he is too in love with her, which has always been the problem." Rihanna is also under fire for mocking a teenage girl who wore a Rihanna-inspired dress to prom. The singer alluded that the girl looked like a bat. The year of Nirvana: music, of course, was better. For one, girls on the radio had more fire and brimstone about them. Not only did we have L7, Garbage, and Hole pumping out 90s riot grrl-grunge: the mainstream airwaves had double the soul and substance we have today.
The Top 40 around 1997 had Natalie Imbruglia singing about the sky being Torn, and the Fugees Killing It Softly. Let’s compare this week’s chart-toppers: Little Mix doing a painful cover of Word Up and a song by The Chainsmoker called #Selfie. Even The Spice Girls...

The project, written by and starring Broadway actor Anthony Wayne and co-directed by his partner Kendrell Bowman, tells the amazing life story of Sylvester, who — as Mo’Nique reminded us recently — was an out gay performer at a time when almost no one was. Did I mention his music is timeless and a life force? Have you listened to “Dance (Disco Heat)” recently? Go on.
The show has enjoyed successful one-off stints in New York, Washington D.C., and Miami, but it’s heading towards a permanent off-Broadway location this summer. Group tickets are already available here, but individual tickets will be available beginning June 2. Also fabulous: Legendary...

This article first appeared on Billboard.com. When Beyonce’s fifth album arrived surreptitiously Friday morning at midnight, it was without the aid of an advanced single, marketing campaign, radio airplay or TV performances. But now that it’s out and setting iTunes ablaze with a weeklong, album-only exclusive, which of the album’s 14 tracks will get the single treatment? Starting next week, it will be two – the Pharrell Williams-produced “Blow” at Top 40, and the Jay Z-assisted “Drunk In Love” at R&B/Hip Hop, according to multiple sources who confirmed plans to Billboard. “Xo,” a rousing ballad

Miley Cyrus — ever since you unleashed your twerk in a latex bikini at the VMAs, I’ve heard so many women — Women! — dissing you for being too sexual. Here’s why you’re a victim of a double standard.
Miley Cyrus — you’re completely comfortable with your own sexuality and you love to be provocative, but that doesn’t mean you’re a slut!
Miley Cyrus: Other Women Should Not Be Judging You
Being sexually comfortable doesn’t make any woman a slut. But you’ve been smack dab in the center of controversy ever since you started promoting your singles, ‘We Can’t Stop” and ’Wrecking Ball’, for your newly released album, Bangerz. And your VMAs singing while twerking and grinding performance sent critics into a fever pitch.
You’d think that no female signer has ever rocked a sexy outfit, and shook their booty before on stage.

‘The X Factor’ has gotten its four groups together, so now the contestants can show us what they’ve really got! Did you agree with the judges’ choices? Let us know!

Ten hopefuls performed, with four seats for each group, and the judges could swap people in and out as they pleased! Read on to find out HollywoodLife.com‘s thoughts on the performances!

We've narrowed it down to the Top 40 on "The X Factor." Now they will each perform for the judges in the four-chair challenge, which is where the mentors will systematically narrow their 10 acts down to four.
The way it works is each mentor has four chairs to fill and they fill them as they go along, but once they are full, in order to add another act, they must eliminate one. It's not like this is anything new on a singing competition show (narrowing from a few dozen to a pseudo-Top 10) but this format should prove quite dramatic.
To recap the categories, Kelly Rowland has over 25s, Paulina Rubio has boys, Demi Lovato has girls and Simon Cowell has groups.

New York — Ryan Tedder has been the mastermind behind hits for Adele, Beyonce and Leona Lewis, but on his band's new album, the Grammy winner gets help from other hit-makers.
Tedder's name is all over the credits on "Native," OneRepublic's third album, released Tuesday. But other players helped shape the band's latest sound, including Benny Blanco, who co-produced hits like Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," and Jeff Bhasker, who produced fun.'s Grammy-winning breakthrough album, "Some Nights."
"I was very clear with them," said Tedder, who added that taking a back seat to other producers was both "scary and exciting."
"I was like, `We're not Maroon 5. We're not fun.'"
OneRepublic's lead single, "If I Lose Myself," was co-produced by Blanco, and Bhasker adds his drum-filled sound to "Can't Stop." The album also features producer Philippe Zdar, best known his work with French critical darlings Phoenix.

This week's Being Human (USA) set up some tantalisingly tricky situations for our supernatural crew. Here's Kaci's review...
This review contains spoilers.
3.8 Your Body is a Condemned Wonderland
One of my favorite things in TV is when writers actually manage to stump me and I cannot, no matter how much I think about it, figure out how they're going to get their characters out of whatever bad situation they've written them into. I never love fiction more than when I'm shouting, "What? How?" at it because I am nothing if not that person who sits through horror films yelling at the characters to not open the door.
This week's episode of Being Human managed to set that up while also confusing me greatly in the process, so let's just take it from the beginning.
Nora is ticked. Beyond ticked. Beyond livid. She's so angry...

As the show kicks off, it's good to see Randy has earned himself a Rydell letterman sweater. Sandy is sure to like him now. We meet the 10 guys performing tonight and, much like last night, about half of the men we've never (or barely) seen up to now.
1. Paul Jolley, "Tonight I Wanna Cry," Keith Urban
It's ballsy to do a Mariah song, sure, but it also takes some guts to do a song by one of the other judges too. Vocally, this is nice. It's not blowing us away, but it's not off pitch or bad. Paul has some weird pronunciation things, swallowing some of his words. That's irksome, but just a weird quirk. Overall, not bad. He could lay off the runs a little. He's not...

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday night, where artists from all over the globe united in the spirit of music to honor their own. As expected, there were scores of live performances and when all was said and done, the 3 1/2 hour live ceremony provided a well-balanced representation of all musical genres. Opening the show was superstar Taylor Swift, who plucked a scene straight out of Alice in Wonderland for the song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back together." Following Swift's performance, host LL Cool J welcomed everyone to "music's biggest night" and took a moment to explain why hosting the show meant so much to him. "We each experienced a Grammy moment when we were inspired," he said. Inspired moments are indeed what make up the Grammy's, so we've made a list of our own. Adele nabs Best Pop Vocal Performance:...

Earlier today, indie-pop wunderkind Grimes hopped on Tumblr to defend her Favorite Songs of 2012 list and, in doing so, ended up defending the rights of Top 40 pop enthusiasts the world over. Some highlights: "How can you hate Beyoncé? She's changing the world. She stands for people of colour and women everywhere succeeding in a stifling patriarchy without compromising her morals." And on Psy: "I'm sorry, but I think it's fucking incredible that a Korean language song is the most popular thing on the planet. That's so good for humanity." There's also a great Mariah Carey quote. Grimes just deleted her entire Tumblr (Let Grimes live, Internet!), but Pitchfork has a good chunk of the post.

2012 was a good year for music: From omnipresent pop hits (Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe) to viral sensations (Psy's "Gangnam Style") and all the alt stuff in between (Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," for one). And 2013 is shaping up to be just as good...if not better! That's because some of the biggest names in the biz will release new music in the new year: Lady Gaga will return to the party scene with Artpop, Miley Cyrus is getting "very adult" with her new tunes, and Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj could both put out new sure-to-hit-No.-1 hits. And that's just the tip of the Top 40 iceberg (others: Beyoncé! Mariah Carey! Lea Michele!)....

Nashville, Tenn. — While Hayden Panettiere is pretending to be a country music singer on TV, she's learning how to be one in real life.
The 23-year-old actress plays ambitious country star Juliette Barnes on the hit ABC show "Nashville" (Wednesdays, 10 p.m. Eastern). Her character has performed on the Grand Ole Opry, dealt with the demands of a record label executive, written songs and tracked vocals in a recording studio.
"The show, I feel like, is an amazing second step for me because I love music and I've always had such terrible stage fright," said Panettiere, who recently earned a Golden Globe nomination for best performance by a television actress in a supporting role.
"This has been kind of the in between because I get to go out there during scenes with a crowd full of people and pretend like I'm performing onstage, and I'm actually performing a live show,...

Savoy is an electronic dance music trio with surprising roots. Just a few years ago, Ben Eberdt, Gray Smith and Mike Kelly were a jam band from in Colorado, where they were students at C.U. Boulder. Now they're headlining the famed Red Rocks arena, dropping remixes from dance titans like Laidback Luke and DJ'ing at Jay-z's inaugural Made in America Festival.
"The band was always a dancey thing, and that happened for a few years," Eberdt explains in an interview with HuffPost Entertainment. "We just decided we needed a bigger sound to round it out and hit those sub-bass sounds that a regular acoustic kick drum couldn't really make."
So the boys added a synth pad and jumped down the Ableton wormhole at a time when many producers still weren't performing with the software. "I was the only soul except for our friend Derek [Vincent Smith] from Pretty Lights who used Ableton,...

Look familiar? Alicia Josipovic, who plays the once troubled Bianca De Sousa on the hugely successful Degrassi, isn't just acting as a high schooler these days. Alicia is finishing up her very first album and couldn't be more excited about it! The actress chatted with me recently about the new venture and reveals that the entire process was inspired by her own life. From her father's passing to a bad guy from her past, all of her songs are personal and she believes relatable to fans out there.
So, what can be expected from her debut? A possible first single titled "Psycho,"and even some music videos in the near future. A collaboration with Drake was also a discussion must!
Tell me about your album. When does it come out?
Alicia Josipovic: I've been working on it for about a year and a half now, and we've been basically...

The nominees for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards are out, and along with the usual Top 40 teen picks — One Direction, Maroon 5, Coldplay — are a surprising number of people and things you might have actually liked this year. Such as: Frank Ocean! (Nominated for Best New Artist, Best Male Video, and Best Direction.) And Drake's "Hyfr" bar mitzvah video! (That's one of five nods for the Sweater Lord.) M.I.A.'s "Bad Girls" video! Carly Rae! The poor guy who had to put all the extra Kanyes in that "Mercy" video even got a nomination. It's not a perfect list, obviously (where is Beyoncé's Countdown nod, for instance? How will she announce pregnancy No. 2 if she's even not even at the ceremony?!), but overall: not bad, MTV. The awards go down September 8; full list of nominees is below.Video of the YearKaty Perry, “Wide Awake”Gotye, “Somebody...

Dave Grohl loves The Beatles.
The Foo Fighters frontman -- and former Nirvana drummer -- hasn't tried to hide his adoration for the Fab Four. Not only has Grohl publicly shared his appreciation for the iconic band -- and his personal favorite Ringo Starr -- but he also recently opened up about The Beatles' influence on Kurt Cobain. "Kurt loved The Beatles because it was just so simple," he said.
Now, the outspoken musician has penned a note for The Beatles' latest compilation, Tomorrow Never Knows, an exclusive release on iTunes. In it, he writes about the impact that the Beatles have had on him throughout his life.
"If it weren't for The Beatles, I would not be a musician," Grohl wrote. "From a very young age I became fascinated with their songs, and over the years have drowned myself in the depth of their catalogue. Their groove and their swagger.

This is a run down of my Top 40 kung fu movies of the 1970′s. There were so many great films in this era, i just hope i do this list some justice. The movies chosen are just my personal choice, i understand others might have different views.

Graduation episodes are tough, especially when no one's really going anywhere, but tonight managed to balance the simultaneous excitement and uncertainty of the future for our favorite seniors.
First, where are our seniors headed:
Mercedes' YouTube video has landed her a recording contract as a back-up singer on an indie label. Mike Chang is off to Chicago. Santana's mother, played by Gloria Estefan, gives her blessing for Santana to forfeit her cheerleading scholarship and pursue a career in music in New York. Puck passes his geography test, thanks to a kiss from Quinn, and Brittany gets to repeat her senior year. Forever. Her grade-point average is a 0.0.

Cee Lo Green never uses 10 words when he can use 1,300, but on tonight’s semifinal results telecast of The Voice, there was a very direct message in the middle of his intergalactic free-verse poetry. The cat-strokin’ dude was correct: It’s been well documented that his team contained ”two of arguably the best contestants on this show” — and it totally blew that one of ‘em had to go home under the “one finalist per coach” rule that continues to be the absolute worst aspect of NBC’s fledgling singing competition. (Yes, even worse than Christina Milians and Milians of Inane Questions from the Sprint Lounge!

You think you know Ester Dean, but you have no idea.
To eagle-eyed fans who scan the iTunes digital booklets for albums by pop deities like Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry, the Muskogee, Oklahoma, girl is a (frequently) reoccurring name among the writers' credits. In fact, get-it-girl anthems including, respectively, "Countdown," "Mr. Know It All," "Super Bass" and "Firework" all bear Dean's chart-choking stamp.
But to other folks, Dean is Rihanna's musical alter ego, the saucy scribe who channels the Bajan stunner's carnal appetites and then churns out irresistibly raunchy radio ditties like "Rude Boy" and "S&M." When MTV News asks her about it, decorated songwriter Dean said she understands why Top 40 fans might be confused.

How can anyone complain about an American Idol episode that packed in performances from more than 50 singers, a heaping portion of maniacal/delightful bitchery courtesy of “The Vocal Coach from Hell,” and a genuine emotional breakdown from soundbite-spewing cool kid Heejun Han? Actually, if you’ll give me a second, I’m sure I can come up with something — Season 10 Vegas survivor Hollie Cavanagh once again getting the seen-but-never-heard treatment? one of the strongest vocalists in the competition getting burned by a last-minute judges’ switcheroo? the continued existence of Randy Jackson on my TV screen? — but sometimes, you have to...

Last night's announcement of the nominees for the 2012 Grammys came with them few surprises: Kanye West earned a leading seven nominations for his solo work on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and the Jay-z collaboration Watch the Throne and Adele's mega-selling 21 and its ubiquitous lead single "Rolling in the Deep" dominated the top categories. There were, however, several notable snubs among the nominations, the most glaring of which we've cataloged below.
Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Album of the Year
How Kanye West could score the most nominations, including Best Song for "All of the Lights," and not see his critically adored Fantasy nominated for Album of the Year is beyond us. The set enjoys a 94 out of 100 rating on album review aggregator Metacritic, a full 18 points better than the highest-rated album to make the Grammy cut (Adele's 21 with a 76).

Elsewhere, Rihanna and Calvin Harris's 'We Found Love' advances from four to two, and Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' completes the top three. Gym Class Heroes and Adam Levine's 'Stereo Hearts' climbs from six to four, and Flo Rida's 'Good Feeling' leaps from 16 to seven. Further down the chart, Beyoncé's 'Love On Top' vaults 28 to 21, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull's 'I Like How It Feels' ascends from 34 to 26, and Ed Sheeran's 'The A Team' debuts at 32. Kels seduces Newark, New Jersey, with nearly two-hour set reaching way back into his catalog.

Newark, New Jersey — With the likes of Beyoncé, Chris Brown and Trey Songz dominating the pop/R&B space, some people may have forgotten R. Kelly. While Kels has been by no means dormant — he's released two albums, Untitled and Love Letter, in the past two years — his brand of R&B hasn't found a steady home on contemporary Top 40 or urban radio.
None of that seemed to matter Thursday evening as he played to a raucous sold-out crowd at the Prudential Center. Opening acts Marsha Ambrosius and Keyshia Cole showcased their vocal prowess, as the crowd filed in to the arena. Cole seemed to be winning over the audience, but it was easy to figure out whom the crowd had come to see,...

Here in MTV’s Newsroom, we love Beyonce. Perhaps a little too unconditionally for our own good, but that’s not the point. So it’s with a heavy heart that we report the first two singles from her much-anticipated album 4 have underperformed on the charts.
Fan reaction to the lead single, the Major Lazer-sampling “Run the World (Girls),” has been mixed (the song makes more sense in the context of the album, trust us), leading it to peak at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. After just eight weeks on the chart, it has already fallen to No. 64. The follow-up ballad, “Best Thing I Never Had,” isn’t fairing any better: Two weeks into its chart run, it has crept to only No. 75 after making its debut at 84.
But as those who have listened to the full record can attest, she has more than a few up-tempo jams up her sleeve to turn things around.

This year's Lollapalooza, slated for the first weekend of August in Chicago's Grant Park, is being billed as a celebration of the festival's 20th anniversary, despite a hiatus that lasted the better part of a decade. You might think that, to coronate the close of the fest's second decade, Perry Farrell might be looking to push Lollapalooza again to its formerly conception-shattering status, back when Ministry shared bills with Seaweed, Steve Earle with Wu-Tang Clan. Maybe you even hope that Farrell would stun with a few unexpected alumni and a fleet of artists who are, in 2011, pushing buttons in the ways of their forebears.
Instead, Farrell announced a lineup Tuesday that reads mostly like an abbreviated, milquetoast Top 40 playlist, surrounded by a passé flock of buzz bands. This year's big expansion is Perry's Place, an all-electronic annex that gathers big name DJs, mash-up dudes, rappers and producers. According to Greg Kot,...

When English singer Adele dropped her first album 19 back in 2008, the title reflected her age at the time. The album took off almost immediately, gaining her international acclaim for her unique voice and sharp songwriting. The single "Chasing Pavements" became a huge hit and the album ultimately scored Adele the Grammy for Best New Artist. That's a lot for a young woman to go through, which is why her new album 21 is an even more complex, deeper, darker affair. In fact, she recently told MTV News' James Montgomery that the creation of 21 was heartbreaking in more ways than one.
But now that 21 is out (it hit store shelves today), is it as universally loved as her previous effort was? Based on the opinions of the critics, the answer appears to be yes. The talent in the Season 2 premiere of "The Sing-Off" seemed heavily weighted in the second half of the competition. After a controversial Group 1 dismissal, the show bounced back with several moving performances in the second group.
In the first group of five, traditional soul a capella group, Oakland's Jerry Lawson & Talk of The Town, dominated with a song that was fairly within their comfort range, "Save The Last Dance For Me." They coasted into the second round and deserved it.
We were frustrated with who the judges decided to eliminate, though. They gave a pass to Eugene, Oregon YouTube stars, On the Rocks, who not only did the Lady Gaga song that made them popular on the video site, but whose sound seemed a bit "one-trick-pony" to us. In their stead, Boston's Pitch Slapped were sent packing despite their crowd-pleasing performance of Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad."
In Group 2, the competition really started.
The first two singles, "Round & Round" and the title track, have already gone Top 40 and are still climbing.
The album sees her re-teaming with "Naturally" hitmakers Rock Mafia, who helped Miley Cyrus grow up on her "Can't Be Tamed "album, and gets production help from "Let It Rock" singer Kevin Rudolf, Beyonce and Fergie collaborator Toby Gad,...
