SoapNet said Monday that it has picked up the reality series I Wanna Be a Soap Star for a third season, during which contestants will compete for a 13-week contract role on ABC's One Life to Live. Casting on the 10-episode series will start in the fall, with production set to begin in January and the premiere slated for June. I Wanna Be a Soap Star is produced by LMNO Cable Group. Eric Schotz and Lisa Bourgoujian are the executive producers, and SoapNet vp original programming Mary Ellen DiPrisco oversees for the network.
