- The film was scheduled to have its world premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival in August 2005, but it got pulled due to the controversy surrounding it. Since then some of the rape scenes of the teen girls have been removed for the 2006 theatrical release in order not to break any Canadian child pornography laws.
- The European and North American DVD releases restore a few frames of nudity that were removed from the scene in which Tammy Homolka is raped.
- In some versions, during the epilogue right before the end credits, there's an extra intertitle that reads, "Her IQ has been measured at about 132, signifying very superior intelligence".
