I've got a fun retro fan-made trailer for Batman v Superman that features footage of Michael Keaton's Batman and Christopher Reeve's Superman. This is the second fan trailer we've seen featuring these two versions of the superhero characters. The first one was called "World's Finest" and it was posted about three years ago (you can check it out here). This newest version was created by stryder HD, and this is what he had to say about it:
I grew up watching and loving these movies, these are The two version of "Batman" and "Superman" that I'll always remember from my childhood and are just straight awesome to me! I hope you guys enjoy the trailer.

Popular comic book artist Dave Gibbon—best known for collaborating with Alan Moore to make the legendary “Watchmen” series—did not like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. At London Comic-Con, the longtime fan favorite shared his sentiments on the failings of DC’s latest film.
When asked about Batman v Superman, Gibbons had this to say…
“I feel that what is happening now with the DC characters in film, to my mind, is going in the wrong direction... What Marvel has seemed to have done is take their characters, with a dark side and a light side, and their humor and their pathos, and their human emotion, and they actually have a long vision of what they're going to do. They put together films that are really entertaining, that are exciting, that do have threat and jeopardy, but have humor and a human quality to it, and a sense of hope.

After years and years of build-up, we now live in a post-Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice world. The film, which was hyped for three years finally came out in March, and it seems everyone has had something to say about the DC flick. Every week, someone else is asked about the film, which was something of a Holy Grail property for the comic book community.
This week, there are fresh comments on the movie, and they come from two titans from that industry.
There's Frank Miller, whose classic book "The Dark Knight Returns" offered plenty of inspiration for Batman V Superman, who was recently asked about Ben Affleck's Dark Knight. The writer was somewhat tight-lipped. He appeared at MegaCon 2016 in Orlando and, when asked if the criticism the film received was unfair, all Miller would say was, "I was rooting for Batman."

If you're a fan of the characters of DC Comics, the last couple of months have been very eventful. One of the most highly anticipated comic book movies - perhaps ever - was released in theaters at the end of March, which paired the iconic "World's Finest" heroes together on the same screen for the first time in live-action cinema. Chances are also pretty good that when you caught wind of the critical reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, you were a bit disappointed. You wouldn't be the only one. Rumors of relative disarray and panic at Warner Bros. Pictures permeated in the weeks following the film's release, but outside of certain people blaming a director or producer for the film's critical disappointment, it...

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has taken in an impressive $830 million worldwide, despite critical vitriol that accompanied the film's release. The film's story was one of the more heavily criticized elements, especially for including several subplots, including Wonder Woman's introduction and a very brief setup for the Justice League, along with introducing Batman and Lex Luthor to the wider DC Extended Universe. Now, a rumoured plot synopsis has made its way online, with Movie Pilot reporting that an anonymous source close to WB and David Goyer has revealed the film's original outline (before the announcement of the film's title and premise), and it's a lot different than what Zack Snyder delivered in March. This story had the working title of World's Finest, and saw the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel in a team-up scenario, as opposed to having an adverserial relationship at first; Read on for more,...

I’ve got a Batman and Superman fan film for you to check out today called World’s Finest. It was develop as a sequel to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel and it offers us an alternate take on Batman vs. Superman where both of them are at the beginning of their superhero careers.
Set shortly after the events of the 2013 film 'Man of Steel,' The global community comes to grips with the destruction of Metropolis and a young Bruce Wayne returns from his training abroad to prepare for his first true challenge. The stage will be set as the World's Finest meet for the first time.
It’s a fun concept and it’s great to see the fans explore it in this short film. Fresh out of training, though, I don’t think Bruce Wayne would really be ready to take on Superman. I think...

A few thoughts on tonight's Supergirl/Flash crossover coming up just as soon as we both have Mariah Carey... DC and Marvel have taken very different approaches to the way their film and TV properties interact, or don't, each with their own pluses and minuses. The Marvel TV shows can take clever advantage of sharing continuity with the films, like how Kingpin's scheme in Daredevil season 1 was inspired by the alien invasion from Avengers, or the shows can become largely beholden to the agendas of the films, like Agents of Shield. Fans of DC's TV shows, meanwhile, may be annoyed that the movies are considered a wholly separate thing, and that it's Ezra Miller playing the Flash on the big screen instead of Grant Gustin, but the flip side of that coin is that the TV shows don't have to be beholden to the cynical, joyless, self-loathing grimdark aesthetic of Zack Snyder's films.

Artist Kerry Callen has created a great set to comic art that shows us whether Superman or Batman is a better superhero. This is what the artist had to say about her series:
For decades, fans have argued who is the better superhero, Superman or Batman. It recently occurred to me that the best way to determine this is to see how they’d fare if one replaced the other on their comic covers. Will one fare better than the other? This should decide once and for all who's superior! I selected six covers and then created six alternative images.
You can check all of those comic cover and alternate covers below. They are sure to give you a laugh, and I can’t argue with who the winner end up being.

Last month a photo taken within an office suggested that Cartoon Network are at work on a brand new series based on the DC "Justice League" property entitled "Justice League Action" (or "Jla").
Now, the guys at World's Finest have scored confirmation from Cartoon Network's Canadian branch that a new "Justice League" series is indeed on the way and will premiere on the cable network. However the earliest likelihood of its premiere is not until Fall next year.
For those hoping to get a fix sooner, they may take comfort in the news (via FM) that all 39 episodes of the "Justice League Unlimited" series are coming to Blu-ray courtesy of the Warner Archive Collection.

Say goodbye to Power Girl's enormous cleavage window as DC Comics has handed over the role of Power Girl to Tanya Spears and that part of the costume would come off as inappropriate on the teenager. Oh yeah, she also gets pants! Nice, I like pants. You can check out more of Tanya's Power Girl in the February’s Teen Titans #7. Let me know what you think of Power Girl's new costume in the comment section. I also transcribed DC Comics' promotion for Power Girl, which you can read below. First appearing last May in World's Finest #23, Tanya was an intern for Starr Industries, run by Karen Starr-The Kryptonian Power Girl of Earth 2-but after an explosion in the lab that returned the original Power Girl to her world, Tanya awoke to find she'd inherited some new abilities. New powers (and a huge check from her predecessor...

This year's San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone. All of the reporters that were on the floor could likely use a vacation, studios laid bare several major announcements related to new and returning TV and film, and comic book fans were treated to a lot of news about the medium they love. DC Comics fans in particular got quite a bit out of the convention this year, not only from upcoming DC-related TV shows, but there was also a great bit of excitement surrounding a little movie called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fans in Hall H were treated to just under a minute of really cool footage promising a square-off between the World's Finest heroes, but we also got our first-ever look at Gal Gadot in costume as the third leg of DC's...

I just came across this 1964 comic book cover art featuring Batman, Superman, and Robin surfing, and I had to post it! I've never seen this image before, but as a fan of both comic books and surfing, I absolutely love it! It's the ultimate surf race. This is the cover for World's Finest Comics No. 36, and I need to get a poster sized version of it!

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis will be Warner Bros Animation/DC Entertainment's next film.
It will follow the upcoming Batman: Escape From Arkham animated feature, World's Finest has revealed.
It will be based on the Aquaman/Justice League crossover, which centred around the villain Ocean Master's invasion of the surface world.
Geoff Johns - who wrote the storyline - had previously teased that an Aquaman animation was in the works.
At the end of the recent Justice League: War film, Ocean Master was seen declaring that Atlantis would be going to war in the wake of the extraterrestrial villain Darkseid's invasion of Earth.
Further details of Justice League: Throne of Atlantis will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2014.

Kevin Smith has spoken out about last week's reveal of the new title for Zack Snyder's upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice".
Smith, who has something of an inside track on the film, revealed on his Hollywood Babble-On podcast that the production has essentially ditched plans for a straight-up "Man of Steel" sequel. Instead, the new film is a part of a single-story arc stretching across multiple films with the Justice League being the focal point:
"They're obviously beginning something, and there's a stretch of these flicks. And so this is the beginning of the Justice League, as we all suspected as they were announcing that cast. We were like, 'This is the beginning of a Justice League movie.'
From what I understand now, it's no longer like, 'This is Superman 2.' They're not doing these things. They're doing like, 'Here's Man of Steel.

DC Comics gives us some background on the lives of Power Girl and the Huntress on Earth 2 in World's Finest Annual #1. With an involving story and vibrant illustrations, the series deserves celebration when others fell to the wayside in less time. Who wouldn't be interested in following the adventures of Batman and Catwoman's daughter and Superman's cousin?
Before they were marooned in our world, Power Girl and the Huntress battled super-villains on Earth 2. They find themselves crossing paths with Wonder Woman's daughter, Fury. It becomes evident blood is thicker than water when the Amazonian Princess shows up to defend her evil offspring, no matter what she's done or has planned.
Writer Paul Levitz continues to tackle the characters of Power Girl and the Huntress in World's Finest Annual #1. Being the creator of the Huntress gives him an advantage other scribes wouldn't have penning this series. He's been penning...

These days, in the era of franchises and continuity, movie studios are quick to try and lock down actors for multi-picture deals. This ensures that fans can see the same person portraying the same character over many movies and, they don't have to worry about skyrocketing costs. It's becoming common practice so it should come as no suprise that Warner Bros. has done the same with Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman. Come inside to see what she said about her deal, plus when production begins on Batman vs. Superman!

As a fan of Batman, I'll pick up anything that has to do with the Dark Knight's extended family. Therefore, I've been keeping up with the adventures of Huntress and Power Girl as they make their way through the crime-ridden streets of our universe and try to find a way back to Earth 2. I was excited to dive into World's Finest Volume 2: Hunt and Be Hunted, but walked away a bit disappointed.
In World's Finest Volume 2: Hunt and Be Hunted, Power Girl and Huntress's search for a way home to Earth 2 is interrupted by enigmatic assailants working for or with their previous ally, Michael Holt, a.k.a. Mister Terrific. What sort of ties could he have to a group who want to see the two heroes dead?

Disclaimer: This editorial is not hating/trolling DC fans, as a comic book fan I can't wait for World's Finest/BvS. Man of Steel was a great film that has given Wbdc a platform to build on, that's what I want to see. Seeing the two put there differences aside and teaming up is going to be one of those cinematic moments I'll remember for life. This editorial is simply why I think DC should take a step back and prioritise. With all that said and done, you can now go and throw abuse at me. Batman and Superman; the world's two most iconic heroes, undoubtedly responsible for the fame comic books have encountered over the years. And after 30 years of waiting, in 2015 the pair will finally meet on screen. But why will WB's finest hour not be the World's Finest? It's simple really and it all starts here... Timing...

TVLine is reporting that "Prison Break" actor Robert Knepper has joined the cast of "Arrow" as William Tockman, Aka .Clock King.. In the world of "Arrow," Clock King reportedly got his nickname due to "being a brilliant criminal who plans his crimes with the utmost precision, down to the second." Clock King debuted in World's Finest Comics #111 in 1960 where he was in fact a villain for Green Arrow. Using a variety of clock-themed gadgets, and sometimes a clock-themed outfit, he was recruited into the Suicide Squad at a later point. So far, Batman Vs. Superman (which is looking more and more like Justice League as the weeks go by) has found its two lead characters and Wonder Woman, but the next major casting addition which has fans puzzled is that of the lead villains. 300: Rise of an Empire's Callan Mulvey has been mentioned, while Lex Luthor, Doomsday and Metallo are the characters so far rumoured to be in the movie. Well, Batman-On-Film now claims that there will indeed be Two villains in Batman Vs. Superman, both of whom will be from the Superman universe. That means we probably shouldn't expect to see likes of The Joker and Scarecrow make an appearance, but it's best to take this information with the usual pinch of salt for the time being. Who would you guys like to see The World's Finest duo face off against? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder are in the process of coming up with a title for their Man of Steel sequel, which everyone has been calling Batman Vs. Superman. Obviously, fans of the comics like the title World's Finest, but it never seemed like that was going to happen.
According to Fusible, the studio has secretly registered several different titles for the film through the internet brand protection company MarkMonitor. Here are the possible titles...
Man of Steel Battle the Knight
Man of Steel Beyond Darkness
Man of Steel Black of Knight
Man of Steel Darkness Falls
Man of Steel Knight Falls
Man of Steel Shadow of the Night
Man of Steel The Blackest Hour
Man of Steel The Darknness Within
I don't care what they call it as long as turns out to be a great movie. I liked Man of Steel, but the story and script had a lot of issues.

Everyone has been calling the Man of Steel sequel that brings Batman into the mix simply Batman vs. Superman, but the reality is the film remains untitled. Many think that going by the comic book title World's Finest is a great idea, but not everyone is a comic book fan, and that title doesn't make it clear that the movie features Batman or Superman. However, the alternative may be one of a series of awkward and basically terrible titles that Warner Bros. has registered through the internet brand protection company MarkMonitor. They all feature the phrase Man of Steel to make sure everyone knows this is a Superman sequel, but they also feature some generic phrases and Batman related puns. It's kind of a mess. Read on! We've known for a while now that Batman vs. Superman was only a temporary placeholder title for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, and that WB was considering other options for a title, but they haven't revealed it yet. While there's still a chance for Batman vs. Superman to be the final title, Warner Bros. has privately registered a bunch of new domain names, one of which could end up being the new title. Come inside to check them out!
Studios register domain names for a wide variety of reasons, so it's important to take all of this with a grain of salt (which is why it's in Rumor Control). I mean, WB wears many hats, and the registrations could be for games or comics as well. The kicker here, however is they all tie in heavily to the Man of Steel title, which would make sense for the film being that it's a sequel.
