the making of Zulu
Quite an interesting film with some of the cast as they are now, including Lady Ellen Baker, Stanleys wife. James Booth , Hook(ie) in the film and Glyn Edwards (remember the barman from Minder?) who played Corporal Allen. It also gives an insight into how the film came into production and the cost to make, which was approx $2,000,000 after costs had been cut from $2.6 million. If you are a fan of the film it does make interesting viewing. One very interesting point from the film is that they only used 500 Zulus in the entire production, filming from different angles to the effect of thousands of them. It also gave a bit of inside info about the opening shots of the aftermath of the battle at Ishlandwhana, some of the bodies in the distance were in fact painted rocks. I rated it at 7/10 as a fan of both films (Zulu Dawn as well).
