Jillian Harris was in “total shock and disbelief” when her fiancé popped the question.

Defiance takes a turn for the worse this week. Here's Billy's disappointed review of Slouching Towards Bethlehem...
This review contains spoilers.
2.8 Slouching Towards Bethlehem
I’ve generally enjoyed the second season, but Slouching Towards Bethlehem did rather demonstrate that the show isn't very skilled at masking its critical plot twists. From the point that we didn’t get a definitive answer to what exactly happened to Kenya in the season opener, it was pretty much a certainty that she’d be coming back. The thing is, even by the end of this story, we’ve still not got one, even when we know she’s alive.
But, that’s a minor point, because the way that this story is constructed entirely gives away what’s going on with the mysterious masked Batman fan that she’s held captive by. The fact that when she knocks him unconscious she then fails...

Defiance's second season just gets better and better. Here's Billy's review of If You Could See Her Through My Eyes...
This review contains spoilers.
2.7 If You Could See Her Through My Eyes
Is it me, or did Defiance flirt this week with being somewhat soap-opera at times? Possibly. But that didn’t stop it being both entertaining and divisive in equal measure.
What was slightly jarring was that plots that have run at full steam since the start of the season were put on hold, with no Pottinger, Tommy or Berlin this week. With them out of the picture there was plenty of room to run what was essentially a parallel Tarr story, with both Datak and Alak presented with their own challenges.
Datak’s world gets tuned upside down when Jalina, a ‘hand maiden’ in the Tarr household dies in the doorway of his swanky shipping container. The...

There may be a lot of truth to the idea that Liz & Dick is (one of) the most talked about movie of the year, but I’m not absolutely sure it’s a claim I would feature.
Good or bad, Lindsay Lohan or no, and if you’re the right crowd, Lifetime or no, there’s no denying that the movie takes on interesting subject matter, and is potentially well worth watching just to catch some glimpse into the lives of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Of course, I don’t know that it has anything to say that isn’t well-worn material, but it’s worth finding out.
What do you think about this one, and is the movie, wherever it lands, overshadowed simply by the fact that Lohan is in it? I’d like to know where the public is coming down on this one. Will you watch?...

ABC Tops Broadcast Nets for Most Female Viewers
ABC stands as the dominant broadcast network for women viewers, according to an analysis by Brad Adgate, research director, Horizon Media, MediaDailyNews reported.
The research states that 65.1% of ABC viewers are women for its primetime programming. Of its primetime shows, Private Practice comes in at 76%.
The other networks post percentages that favor male viewers. CBS came in at 58.4%; Fox, 56.5%; NBC, 54.5% and the CW, 59.5%. Analysts explain that ABC's serial dramas and soaps draw more women than CBS, which airs more crime procedural shows that male viewers tend to watch. NBC's comedies and Fox's animated comedies also draw more men than women.
Some cable networks also bring in more women than men: Lifetime brings in 74% as its women viewers; We, 75%; Oxygen, 70%; Food Network, 64%; Bravo, 72%; Own, 73%; E!, 70% and VH1, 61%.

Sports fans know Tim Tebow as a quarterback for the Denver Broncos. But the 23-year old has led a pretty full life before professional football, as detailed in his autobiography, 'Through My Eyes' and on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11Pm Et on Comedy Central).
"A lot of people might say you want to wait 'til you're 24 to write an autobiography," Jon Stewart quipped, but Tebow really has lived an interesting enough two decades to justify a book. He spent the first five years of his life in the Phillippines with his parents, who were missionaries.
Since then, he's been back countless times and even helps support an orphanage. In fact, his success has led to him establishing a foundation that supports more than 600 orphans there now. It's an amazing thing to see someone so young making such a difference.

Cheryl Cole is scared of being single. The "Fight for This Love" singer found it tough following her split from cheating husband Ashley Cole earlier this year, but always knew dumping him was "the right thing to do".
"It's a very different feeling being out there on your own. Slowly but surely I'm finding my feet," the Girls Aloud beauty said. "It was scary and exciting at the same time, but definitely the right thing to do."
Since the separation, Cheryl, 27, has been romantically linked to professional dancer Derek Hough, and she admits the handsome star has been the perfect person to help her get through life without England soccer player Ashley.
Derek, 25, helped her recover from deadly tropical disease Malaria during the summer and temporarily moved into her home to help care for her. She said, "Derek is a sweetheart, the kind of person that makes the day more enjoyable.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly avoided all mention of her ex-husband Ashley Cole in her new book Through My Eyes.
The X Factor judge is set to release her first official book on the 30th of September, but fans shouldn’t expect a tell all autobiography similar to Dannii Minogue’s offering. Cheryl will mention the two new men in her life, Derek Hough and Will.i.am but she will avoid some of the more upsetting areas of her past.
Despite getting divorced and contracting malaria in 2010, Cheryl says that she has had “the best times of my life” in the past two years.
She describes Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am as “passionate to the core” and brands dance pro Derek as “the best… he’s a sweetheart.”
Through My Eyes will be more of a photo collection than a tell all exposé and the official blurb reads:...

Dannii Minogue has lifted the lid on her nightmare first year on ITV’s X Factor.
Simon Cowell asked the singer and actress to join the panel of his UK reality TV show back in 2007, after seeing how popular she had become on Australia’s Got Talent. The former Home and Away star was delighted with her new job and looked forward to joining Simon, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne on The X Factor, but she hadn’t accounted for matriarch Osbourne’s nasty tongue.
Sharon made no secret of the fact that she hated Danni and many speculated that she felt threatened by her glamour and youthful beauty.
In her extracts of her new book, which will be published in The News Of The World this Sunday, Dannii admits:
“What could have been a dream job turned into a nightmare.”
She also talks about her controversial decision to strip for Playboy.

Dannii: My Story was expected to rule the book charts when it was released on 30th September but now that Cheryl’s Through My Eyes is due to hit the shelves on the same day, the future doesn’t look so bright for Minogue’s offering.
A source told The Sun:
“It’s a massive blow. Cheryl’s so popular and bound to outsell her. It’s like anything you can do, I can do better.
“Dannii’s already missed a lot of X Factor glory because of baby Ethan. She should be coming back as a triumphant yummy mummy – instead she’s coming back as second fiddle. It could be coincidence but it rains on Dannii’s parade horribly.
