Though this film's namesake passed away . . .

. . . on the 36th day of 2004, somehow D-Corp historian Leonard M. Found time to record more than one conversation with him. Because only one of these is posted at this site, it is unknown how many chit chats this pair actually enjoyed. This talk, obviously, is one such confab, lasting 14 minutes. I seem to recall a different D-Corp DVD has a feature with the exact same title and year of release--2004--but it only lasts about five minutes, and deals with John H. Painting some portraits of Mickey the Mouse. Therefore, when one comments on something by this name, it is important to compare the length of what YOU actually watched to the 14 minutes for John recalling his World War Two experiences here. Of course, if Leonard had time to conduct MULTIPLE 14-minute conferences with John on various topics during those 36 days, that would open up an entire new can of worms.

Warning: Spoilers
. . . JOHN HENCH apparently has one claim to fame: He's the official portrait artist of a drawing. However, unlike the early copyists' whose renderings of Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" have been in the news recently for fetching six- and seven- figures at art actions, this short film doesn't offer any clue as to the value of John's revisionist "Mickey Mouse" doodles. Maybe some of them could garner triple figures on the open market from Dizzy Loyalists; maybe not. Possibly they'd weigh out for a dime a dozen. Walnut only knows.
