Porky the cat, that played ALF in the movie belonged to the lead actor, Adam Leese. Porky sadly died on the 9th April 2008 aged 18.
The aircraft carrier scenes on the museum ship The USS Hornet, were shot on impulse when the film makers were told they could have the ship for a whole day for $500.
An Unfinished version of the film was shown at the Washington Independent Film Festival as work in progress and it went on to win the Audience award for best picture.
On the first day of filming in San Francisco, the lead actor, Adam Leese, became locked in his hotel bathroom, after the lock failed, and had to kick his way out, breaking his toe.
