A funny thing happened during DC Fandome yesterday when no one was really paying attention to anything other than DC Fandome: Warner Bros. released a final trailer for Christopher Nolan’s time-slipping espionage action epic, “Tenet.” Still, with all eyes on the DC superheroes, “Tenet” and its final trailer have almost garnered 3 million views on YouTube. Not too shabby.

"You have to start looking at the world in a new way." It's almost time! Or maybe it has already happened? Warner Bros has debuted one final trailer for Christopher Nolan's epic sci-fi thriller Tenet, released in conjunction with the new music track "The Plan" by Travis Scott which is in the movie. Tenet will open first in cinemas internationally, then arrive in US movie theaters (that are currently open) starting in September. Tenet is described as a sci-fi action movie on a global scale, involving time travel and the world of espionage. The making of book describes it as "Christopher Nolan's Quantum Cold War". John David Washington stars, with an amazing ensemble cast including Robert Pattinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, Yuri Kolokolnikov, and of course Michael Caine. I am so very excited for this and already have tickets for opening day in 70mm!

Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated Tenet film release may have been continually delayed, but music from the thriller has arrived. Travis Scott has released the new song, “The Plan,” which appears in the film and its soundtrack. The track was produced by the film’s composer Ludwig Göransson.

The cover art for Travis Scott’s single “The Plan” from Warner Bros. upcoming event feature Tenet dropped tonight. This Friday, Aug. 21, NBA on TNT will feature the hip-hop song, which is Scott’s first penned for a motion picture, with an exclusive look at Tenet.
“The Plan” repped Scott’s first foray in writing film music, collaborating with Oscar winning composer Ludwig Göransson.
Christopher Nolan told GQ that the six-time Grammy nominee’s “voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle…his insights into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound.” Hmm, puzzle. Tenet we hear, in its twisting of time, has a leveled story structure, much like Inception. GQ described the track as “a brain-liquefying trip through time and space.” Both Tenet star John David Washington and Scott call the song in the clip below “fire”.

When production began on “Sweat,” Magnus von Horn’s follow-up to his Cannes Directors’ Fortnight player “The Here After,” no one could have predicted how prescient the film would be. As the world grapples with a protracted lockdown that’s pushed more and more of our lives online, the story of a Polish fitness instructor and social media celebrity searching for real-world intimacy feels especially timely.
“‘Sweat’ wants to embrace everything in this modern world that we otherwise love to hate, and I think that makes it unique,” says producer Mariusz Włodarski of Lava Films.

There are a lot of public service announcements about the coronavirus, but even if you’re caught up, here’s a new one that’s definitely worth your time: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have recreated a famous scene from “Shaun of the Dead” to tell people what they should do.
In the original film, Shaun and Ed come up with a plan to find Shaun’s mom, kill Phillip, find Shaun’s ex-girlfriend Liz, and then find a place where they can “have a cup of tea wait for all of this to blow over.” Of course, that plan that gets revised over and over again with director Edgar Wright’s signature quick editing.
This time, though, the plan is different. Call mom, make sure she’s Ok. Don’t kill Phillip, but call the NHS (or Cdc if you’re in the U.S.) if he has the virus.

Star power is always a draw at the American Film Market, led this year by Rachel Weisz playing Elizabeth Taylor in See-Saw’s “A Special Relationship.”

“J.T. better get a fat suit!” cried one of my daughters (or maybe it was my wife) when the momentous news dropped, in the Platt household last week, that Justin Timberlake was in negotiation to play an actual restaurant critic for New York Magazine in a new romantic “dramedy” called The Last Drop. Never mind that this perky, Tinseltown version of New York’s restaurant critic would be a third the size of the real one, and that he wouldn’t actually be named Adam Platt. In preparation for playing their bilious, grumpy, food-addled father and husband on the silver screen, the Platt ladies would like to offer J.T. a few unsolicited tips.1. Stop smiling so damn much. As Mrs. Platt can attest, the default facial expression of any seasoned, well-fed restaurant critic while on the job is a perpetual scowl. 2. Lose the hair. “All the chefs know...

1.) The Dumb and Dumber sequel will be called Dumb and Dumber To. The Farrelly Brothers tweeted the announcement, which also updated the status of the script (they're "almost done"). Here's the plot description Bobby Farrelly offered a few months ago: The story revolves around the fact that one of them may have sired a child. Justin Timberlake is in talks to star in a new romantic dramedy called The Last Drop, in which he would play "a charming alcoholic who works as a restaurant critic for New York Magazine." He eventually falls for a young woman and realizes he has to overcome his self-destructive addiction in order to have a real chance with her.
The movie is set to be directed by Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist helmer Peter Sollett, from a Black List script written by Brandon and Phil Murphy. I remember the days I use to think it was ridiculous that Timberlake was being cast in movies, but the guy has turned into quite a good actor, and I've been enjoying the recent films that he's starred in. His most recent movie was Trouble With the Curve in which he starred along side Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams.

After getting caught up in baseball and love in Trouble with the Curve, it looks like Justin Timberlake is going to be hitting the sauce. Variety has word that the pop star turned actor is in talks to lead The Last Drop, a romantic and dramatic comedy from director Peter Sollett and the Good Universe production banner, who previously collaborated on the adaptation of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. In the film, Timberlake will play a charming alcoholic who works as a restaurant critic for New York Magazine who falls for a young woman and realizes he must overcome his addiction in order to have a real chance with her. It sounds like this could be another role that really lets Timberlake cut loose and show his acting chops. His more recent fair hasn't been all that challenging, and his turn as an action lead in In Time was less than...

In a shocking turn of casting events, Variety reports that strolling troubadour and star of The Love Guru, Justin Timberlake, is in talks to star in a new film that would see the former boy band balladeer playing kind of a jerk. Heavens! The outlet reports that Timberlake is looking to star in Peter Sollett‘s (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist) The Last Drop, which would see him as “a charming alcoholic who works as a restaurant critic for New York Magazine” who decides to clean up his wicked ways in order to win the love of a good woman. We will now take bets as to just how irrepressibly awful and jerky Timberlake’s character will be before he gets off the sauce. Timberlake has previously played charming jerks in films like The Social Network, Trouble With the Curve, Alpha Dog, Southland Tales, and (somewhat arguably) Yogi Bear. The...

Don't count on 'N Sync to follow The Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees into the '90s boy band reunion show fold. Former lead singer Justin Timberlake is sticking to his guns about becoming a serious actor.
According to Variety, the "Trouble With the Curve" star is now in talks to appear in an upcoming romantic comedy titled "The Last Drop," helmed by "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" director Peter Sollett.
Timberlake, who's kept his rom-com credentials to just "Friends with Benefits" opposite Mila Kunis so far, would portray 30-something Clay, a cavalier food critic with a drinking problem who realizes he'll have to put away the sauce if he wants to have a serious chance with a new lady love interest in the the flick.
The script, co-written by Brandon and Phil Murphy, was featured on the 2011 Black List and got meritorious praise for its sound structure and fresh angle.

While "Trouble With Curve" was manipulative dramatic drivel, the film wasn't without its merits, most notably watching Justin Timberlake prove he's got an easy onscreen charisma that hasn't really been well served in any movie projects he's done thus far outside of "The Social Network" and arguably "Bad Teacher" (though the Coens' forthcoming "Inside Llewyn Davis" will likely change that). But the combination of a Black List script and a quality director could turn things around. Timberlake is in talks to star in "The Last Drop," with Peter Sollett attached to direct. Penned by Brandon and Phil Murphy, the story centers on a fully functioning alcoholic who works at New York magazine, who meets the girl of his dreams and soon discovers that there’s a lot more at stake than love if he doesn’t clean up his act. Um, it sounds almost like a variation on "Smashed" to a certain degree,...

... what, not specific enough for you? Well, here's the thing: Variety reports that Timberlake is in talks to star in the Peter Sollett–directed rom-dramedy The Last Drop, where he'd play a Vulture blogger restaurant critic for New York Magazine who must give up his love of the drink for his new love, a human woman who is not made of beer. After his fictional employment at GQ in Friends With Benefits, it appears Timberlake is going more highbrow (but not despicable). Can someone clear out a desk for Jt?...

Authorities believe the captain of the ill-fated ship may have been distracted by a hot young passenger he shared drinks with prior to the accident -- how terrible! The Costa Concordia boat crash, which cost 11 people their lives, has been shrouded in scandal -- especially after it was discovered that Capt. Franceso Schettino abandoned ship before passengers. And now new allegations are emerging that the 52-year-old may have been distracted by a sexy 25-year-old passenger named Domnica Cermotan! Genoa’s Il Secolo Xix newspaper reports that passengers spotted the captain getting boozy with Domnica prior to the crash. “At first we thought it was his daughter,” the passenger said. “There is no doubt they were drinking, at least a whole decanter. The last drop was poured into the captain’s glass.” Do You think the captain was too distracted by women to operate his ship, HollywoodLifers? -- William Earl [flv custom_thumbnail="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPGCFeuvZtU1327072052835" width="600" height="350"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPGCFeuvZtU/flv]...

"Thor" the movie, already has an opening date (June 17, 2011) but still no lead! Kenneth Branagh is now attached to direct the film, and is working mighty hard to cast his Norse god!
So who have been mentioned for the lead role?
First, we have Josh Hartnett. Why is there a big push to cast him? I have no idea, but apparently, Branagh is considering him for either the role of Thor or his nemesis, Loki.
Then, we have a bunch of unknowns! And I'll post their mini-bio from IMDb, okay? And keep in mind, these actors are all being tossed around for the role of Thor.
Here we go. Charlie Hunnam
Charlie Matthew Hunnam was born in Newcastle, England on April 10, 1980. At 16 years of age, he made guest appearances in the popular TV series "Byker Grove" (1989).
