- Victoria Paige (Erika Eleniak) is the new teacher at a suburban school. She also writes about her intentions, her life and her future in her private computer as if it were a novel. She has noticed the Stephens, a seemingly perfect family leading a perfect life. She also uses a kind of syringe disguised as insulin administration device to get rid of people she wants to get rid of. Victoria has given an F mark to Molly Stephens (Keely Purvis), so her mother Samantha (Patricia Kalember) is worried about it. Victoria suggests that she herself would give private tuition at home to Molly. Suddenly, Molly adores Victoria, although Brooks, the dog, is always barking at the teacher. Victoria gets rid of the dog, and Samantha thinks that Brooks has left through an open door. Samantha and her husband Nick (Ken Tremblett) disagree over buying their son Jack (Rowen Kahn) a skateboard, as Samantha thinks it'll be dangerous for him. The married couple dine out for their anniversary, but their nice neighbor Jane Robson (Lori Ann Triolo) has to work at the local library that night, so Victoria offers to babysit that night. When Jane arrives to the library and finds out that the nobody from teh library phoned her, she suspects Victoria immediately.
A night, Victoria seduces a businessman (Jerry Rector). She uses curare to immobilize him and they she drowns him in the bath because he said he was "her daddy". Another night, Victoria babysits again, and Jack can't sleep because he misses Brooks. Victoria is supportive and consoles him. She also goes to meet Nick at his work, pretending to come across him by chance, and supports him on the skate problem. Victoria tries Samantha's clothes and noses around the Stephens' computer. Victoria also starts going jogging with Jane and Samantha. Nick buys the skate for Jack, and Victoria gets frantic. Jane pays for Jack's skating club.
Victoria causes Samantha to fall and get hurt, so she cannot go with her family to sky. Victoria wants to go. Samantha finally gets the book she has pestering Jane about, but she rejected the notion of having it. Nick realizes that poisonous herbs have gone to their salads, and Samantha gets more and more forgetful. Jane doesn't trust Victoria the slightest, but Samantha now believes that Jane wants to seduce Nick. Samantha starts getting suspicious, and she throws all the herbal sink down the sink. She tells Jane that shes' sorry, and Jane says that Victoria is dangerous.
Daniel Eliot (William MacDonald) has been following Samantha. He met her in one of the times in which she was spending all the money she had got from killing one of her previous families, until she runs out of money and looks for a new family. Samantha and Daniel fix an hour to meet and talk, and Samantha will give him 10,000 dollars, but Victoria arrives first and she kills him. When Samantha arrives, Daniel is nowhere to be seen.
Samantha phones one of Victoria's old schools, but nobody knows about here there. Jane suffers a weird incident. Samantha confronts Victoria, and the latter tells her that she's running away from an abusive husband, and that as she was found again by Daniel - a thug who works for her husband - she will have to run away again. Samantha believes her story, tells her that she should stay where she is, and Samantha lets her to stay around while Nick goes to Washington on a business-related matter.
However, soon Samantha realizes that Victoria is lying again. She sees as a realtor lady (Pamela Perry) is taking out the sold sign of the house Victoria was supposed to have bought. Questioning her, the lady tells her that the family who was to buy it didn't have the money to pay for it. Samantha goes to Victoria's apartment and watches in dismay the small laboratory where she creates curare, and finds the manuscript with her killing sprees. She runs home and tells Molly to go to spend the night to a friend's home. Samantha tries to phone the police, but Victoria disconnects the phone. She ties Samantha up, and then sedates her with curare.
Jane arrives looking for Samantha, but Victoria gets rid of her easily. Nick is going to arrive sooner than expected, but he can't talk to Samantha as the phone isn't working. Victoria stings Nick with curare as well. Samantha frees herself, although she is not completely in shape. Samantha and Victoria fight, until by chance Victoria falls to the floor and gets knocked out. The police are called.
The Stephens have finally got rid of Victoria, and they will be a happy family together again in the future.
