AMC's month-long Fearfest celebration just got interesting with the release of a series of mini-docs titled "Living Nightmares," which feature one major human fear per episode.
From the Press Release:
Over ninety feature films are helping to celebrate AMC’s 2012 Fearfest, and the network has developed several mini-shockumentaries to precede and play during these many films. Ten "Living Nightmares" are being aired during AMC’s Fearfest. These short reels of 3-5 minutes in length include the violent expose “Breaking Point,” the eye-opening hydrophobia-focused “Dead Pool,” the controversial alien short “Invasion,” and the human blood-drinking documentary “Blood Work.” All of these short features focus on a specific human terror.
Several horror stars are featured in these mini-documentaries. Horror icon Bill Oberst, Jr. (Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies) re-enacts Elliot Cruise’s real-life testimony as an extraterrestrial expert in “Invasion.” Cruise’s accounts of Area 51 and the Roswell Incident will terrify viewers, and...

Two new posters, including another one for Summit’s “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”, directed by David Slade, and Michael Winterbottom’s (imagine going to school with that name, ouch) Casey Affleck-fronted serial killer movie “The Killer Within Me”. Check them both out below, courtesy of Impawards. Based on the novel by Jim Thompson, “The Killer Inside Me” is about a young West Texas deputy sheriff who is slowly unmasked as a psychotic killer. ———-*——— In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Michael Winterbottom’s adaptation of the Jim Thompson noir classic “The Killer Within Me” has found its good guy in The Mentalist star Simon Baker. In the thriller, Baker will be playing a county attorney who attempts to expose a small town West Texas Sheriff (to be played by Casey Affleck) as a serial killer. THR says Baker joins a cast that already includes Affleck, Jessica Alba as a prostitute, and Kate Hudson as the sheriff’s schoolteacher girlfriend. Michael Winterbottom (”9 Songs”) will be directing from a script by Robert Weinbach and John Curran. Shooting for the thriller is expected to start this week in New Mexico and Oklahoma.
