Miles drops off Jack in front of Christine's house. You see them unload the golf clubs and wine boxes on the left side of the porch, close to the door. In the next scene you see Miles in the car observing Jack who knocks on the door. It appears that the golf clubs and boxes of wine are not in the scene when Jack knocks and the door is opened by Christine. At the end of the scene the boxes and clubs can be seen to the far right side of the porch, further away from the door.

When Miles and Jack visit the Hitching Post for the first time, Gary the Bartender pours them each a glass, then says he's leaving the bottle as he sets it on the bar near the two glasses. A second later from a different angle, the bottle is gone.

As the duo make their quick getaway from Miles' mother's house, notice he's wearing white loafers. Later, as he's getting dressed for the dinner date in the hotel room, he informs Jack he's only brought his brown shoes along for the trip.

When Miles is driving to LA from San Diego one of the outside car shots shows long shadows as if the sun was setting when it is supposed to be mid afternoon.

When Miles pours the wine from the spit bucket at the tasting room over his head it drenches his shirt and pants. In the subsequent scenes, the wine stains have dried, but the clothes have actually been changed. There are stains on the shirt, but there are not enough to match the original incident and the pants have no stains at all.

At the beginning Jack says that Maya has been divorced for a year. When Miles and Maya fight in the car she says that she has been trying to forget her bad marriage for three years.

Miles tells Jack that he only has one pair of shoes while they are in their hotel. The shoes are brown. However, when Miles is going into Cammi's house, he is wearing white shoes.

There was a deleted scene in which Miles and Jack go shoe shopping. Miles was also holding a Champs shopping bag with a shoe box in it when him and Jack come back to the hotel before Stephanie attacks Jack for lying to her.

While Miles makes his protest of Cabernet Franc and Merlot well known, the bottle of 61 Cheval Blanc is from Bordeaux, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. This is entirely logical: Merlot from California is widely considered to be inferior; Cabernet Franc is a grape used primarily in blending. On their own, both wines are well less than stellar. Cheval Blanc is indeed a Bordeaux blend of Cab Franc and Merlot (and a few other grapes), but in their Bordeaux incarnations their grapes produce an excellent red wine. Indeed many Bordeaux producers use the two grapes in their Bordeaux blends; the California incarnations of the two grapes are just not all that great. Miles' sentiment is shared by many wine lovers around the world - even those from central California.

On Wednesday when Miles and Jack pick up the girls, Miles and Jack are in front with the girls in back. In the next shot, Jack and Maya have switched places (there is a deleted scene that would explain why).

When Miles is doing his crossword puzzle while driving, his speedometer reads zero.

When they are refueling the car before the wedding the pump is clearly off and not showing which octane/price is being used.

As Miles and Jack drive from Los Angeles to Oxnard, the sun is shining in both sides of the car and shadows from the scenery to the right and left all fall on the road.

The ease in which Jack handles the cinder block that he uses to weight down the accelerator shows that it's obviously a prop.

Miles says that he teaches middle school, yet the scene of him in his classroom shows students clearly older than middle school.

Miles knocks on the large glass insert of a door, the sound is of a knock on wood.

When driving to Cammi's house in Solvang, Miles and Jack cross some railroad tracks. There are no railroad tracks in Solvang.

The gas station the guys stop at on the way home to crash the car is actually located in Buellton, only about a mile from their hotel.

When Miles and Jack are driving up to wine country, Miles admits to having attended a tasting the previous night, but adds that he wanted to get them something special for the ride up, and tells Jack to check out the box. When Jack takes out the wine and starts to open it, Miles says he's been saving it.

Maya smokes in the restaurant bar. Smoking was banned from California bars in 1998.

In the scene at the bowling alley, the woman at the table with Miles (Sienna's grandmother?) is smoking. Smoking indoors is illegal in California (although it is possible the bowling alley simply was not enforcing this rule).

Maya and Miles are picnicking on the blanket and Miles is engrossed in his crossword puzzle. #52 across clue is "Corroborated" and Miles has written in "Workedwine" instead of "workedwith".
