The startling female hero of Revolver Rani (Rr) has been warmly received by critics. And Kangna Ranaut is all set to do another film with the Rr director Sai Kabir. Says Sai Kabir, "Yes I'm doing a film called Divine Lovers with Kangna and Irrfan in the lead. It would be a complete contrast to Revolver Rani. It won't be loud, aggressive, violent and splashy like Rr. But again Divine Lovers would be about the Great Indian Dream." Divine Lovers would be set in Mumbai and Aligarh. Reveals Sai, "It'd be set in the lower middleclass and it would be also about the moral corruption of the middleclass." Also on the anvil is the sequel to Revolver Rani. "I want to build my hero Alka Singh as a franchise. She'll be my toy to tell many stories. I want her to do many things in the future including fight America and revive the Soviet Union.

Directed by Dibakar Banerjee the upcoming dramatic film Shanghai, which stars Abhay Deol and Emraan Hashmi, is based on the book “Z” by Vassilis Vassilikos. Not only does it have a renowned director the film also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Kalki Koechlin, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Anant Jogue, Pitobash and Farooque Shaikh. Praising the Emraan and Abhay as well as the rest of the cast, Banerjee said recently, “I’m happy these guys trusted my script and went with their gut, doing a 180 degree turn-around with their existing images. Who’d have imagined Abhay playing a South Indian, sporting a moustache, or Emraan moving totally away from his romantic image? Besides these two, I also think two other actors who are brilliant are Bengal’s superstar Prosenjit, and Kalki Koechlin”.
