In what can only be described as great news, multiple award-winning writer and producer Kay Cannon is finally set to make her feature film directorial debut, with the upcoming comedy movie, The Pact. The producers of the film – including Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg – will almost certainly be hoping to cash in on Cannon’s impressive comedic skill-set, which helped the TV series 30 Rock achieve dizzying heights of success, and the Pitch Perfect film franchise earn more than $400 million in box office so far.
The Pact is written by Brian Kehoe and Jim Kehoe (Overachievers), with Deadline reporting that Eben Russell, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg also worked on the script. It is, unsurprisingly, a male-dominated story, focusing on three highly protective fathers, and their efforts to derail a pact made by their respective daughters, that would see them each lose their virginity on Prom night. In the event that you're a Gop voter on the fence over which presidential candidate to support, and you just wish the guy who starred in the 2005 film, "The Hand Job," would give you some direction, your decision just got a whole lot easier.
Gary Busey appeared at the holiday party of Republican strategist Ron Bonjean over the weekend, and according to The Hill, announced that he was throwing his hat in with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
"I've never met Newt but I know what he stands for," the actor told the newspaper. As for his fellow Texan Rick Perry, Busey said, "He's a good guy, he just doesn't belong in the race." Busey is unhappy with his stance on illegal immigration, which is less conservative than many Gop stalwarts.
Last spring, Busey endorsed Donald Trump for President, despite being fired on "Celebrity Apprentice."
"He's a great man," he said in April.

Endgame Entertainment has picked up "You Complete Us," a romantic comedy spec from Jim and Brian Kehoe.
Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment are producing with H2F's Chris Cowles and Chris Fenton. James D. Stern is producing via Endgame, which will finance.
The story revolves around a couple that schemes to keep their best friends from getting divorced but finds their own marriage suffering as a result. After un¬successful attempts to "date" other couples, they realize that for the health of their own relationship, they must get their best friends back together.
That Offspring Entertainment is involved seems appropriate, given all the real-life offspring involved. The Kehoes are brothers, as are Lucas Smith, the Endgame exec who brought the script into the company, and Matt Smith, a vp at Offspring who will act as exec producer. Shankman and Gibgot are brother and sister.
