Rudraksha is a seed that is said to be part of Lord Shiva's eye. "Rudra + Aksha" meaning Shiva + Eye. Mythologically the Rudraksha is created from Lord Shiva's tears which is considered as divine. It is worn by Saints & Yogis. It has some electromagnetic cosmic energy that helps in gaining spiritual powers. The Rudraksh described in the movie is not a common Rudraksh, it is Ravana's Rudraksh who was an evil entity in the Hindu mythology. Ravana has stored his powers in it.
Varun is a simple man who worships an "Ek mukhi Rudraksh" in his home and is expert in spiritual practices. But Bhuria has owned a Rudraksh that is said to be from the Evil Rakshasha "Ravana" who was depicted as very powerful in the Hundi mythology. The Rudraksh has much more power stored by Ravana which are being transferred to Bhuria who is worshiping it.
