Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star, Eduardo Xol suffered a brutal death at just 58 years of age. Tragically, it was cut short. Keep reading for all of the details.
Extreme Makeover Eduardo Xol Suffers Brutal Death At 58
The one thing about Extreme Makeover was it was all about helping people. Usually, the folks who needed new homes had lost everything or were severely devastated. Then, Ty Pennington and his amazing crew would swoop in and give them their dream home, fixing everything like magic. First, of course, they would all scream, “Move that bus” before unveiling their handiwork. In Season 2 of the hit ABC reality series, Eduardo Xol came on to do the landscaping which was not always an easy feat.

ABC is developing a new version of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, best known as the co-founders of the lifestyle brand The Home Edit, will serve as hosts of the new version of the show should it move forward. The show currently has the same title as the original, but that is a working title at this time.
As with the original show, each episode will see the hosts meet a family that needs a new home or major renovations to their current home. The hosts will then work with a team of builders, designers, and contractors to reshape the house to the family’s needs.
Shearer and Teplin founded The Home Edit in 2015. The brand has proven incredibly popular, with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, acquiring it in 2022.

ABC is working to bring back Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to the network after the format’s brief dalliance with HGTV.
The network is developing a reboot of the series, which ran on ABC between 2004 and 2012, with Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, who created global lifestyle brand The Home Edit.
The Home Edit (Photo by John Shearer)
The duo previously fronted two seasons of Netflix’s Get Organized with the Home Edit.
After ABC canceled the show – itself a spinoff of Extreme Makeover – in 2012, HGTV rebooted the series with Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson for one season in 2020.
In each episode Shearer and Teplin will meet a deserving family in need of a new home or a major renovation. A team of builders, contractors, and design experts will assist them on each big makeover project, ultimately transforming the home based on the family’s lifestyle and needs. The pair...

With all of these new reboots and revivals lately, we would like to nominate a show for a comeback! The Tyra Banks Show ran for 265 episodes from 2005-2011, and it was hands-down the most iconic talk show that has ever existed. And yes, that includes The Oprah Winfrey Show. The Perfect Is Boring author proved that despite being the world's most famous supermodel, she' still down-to-earth, relatable, and hilarious, which lead to raw interviews with major celebs, crazy stunts, and touching moments. Just by taking a walk down memory lane, you'll see why we need to bring this supreme daytime TV back to the masses, Asap! "I have five women on this stage, but between them, they have 10 vaginas." Tyra was bold and fearless when it came to discussing the taboo, especially when it had to do with womens' health. She didn't sugar coat things, so when she started an...

The story follows twins Elias and Lukas (Elias and Lukas Schwarz) as they await the arrival of their mother (Susanne Wuest), who has been away undergoing radical cosmetic surgery. Once she’s home, the siblings begin to suspect the woman that has returned is not their mother but someone who has taken her place, and the family is soon embroiled in a struggle for power and truth as the boys set out to uncover what really happened to their mom.

King Arthur is described as a “good and just ruler” who, beneath the surface, “is a master manipulator who can carry a grudge to the grave, and maybe beyond.” He harbors an “eternal burning love” for the yet-to-be-cast Guinevere that can lean toward being a bit controlling.

A weekly television series following the exploits of Jason Voorhees – how the hell is that supposed to work? The producers appear to have an idea for how to adapt Friday the 13th into a TV show, but I think I might have a few better ideas for how to transform Jason from horror icon to TV star.
The remakes, reboots, reimaginings, sequels, prequels, premakes, adaptations, and spin-offs that rule the big screen are taking over the airwaves like never before.
For horror fans alone "Bates Motel", "Hannibal", "From Dusk Till Dawn", and "Teen Wolf" have been turned into weekly TV shows, and soon "Scream", "Constantine", "12 Monkeys", a series based on the box office stinker Legion, and, yes, "Friday the 13th" will add to the fray.
As was announced recently, a new attempt at transforming Friday the 13th into a weekly hour-long series is in the works. Unlike the name-only late 80s series,...

In what initially comes off as a Habitat for Inhumanity — fueled by reality-competition juices that upstage the do-gooder impulse of neighborhood home renovation — NBC's derivative American Dream Builders takes its visual cues from Extreme Makeover Home Edition (airing in that show's old time period, Sundays at 8/7c), complete with an elaborate weekly reveal, although the only bus here is the one the contestants repeatedly throw each other under. Dream Builders' emotional dynamic is more attuned to Celebrity Apprentice in its nightmare blueprint of clashing egos getting in the way of a job well done.

The 10-episode dating series hails from Lighthearted Entertainment, the independently owned production company behind unscripted series including Extreme Makeover, The Moment of Truth, Next, 72 Hours and Are You the One? Each episode will feature a man and a woman as they each date two different -- and naked -- suitors. The series will explore the art of romance -- free of preconceived notions, stereotypes and, yes, clothing. At the end of every hourlong episode, the two romance-seekers

What would you be willing to endure over three days to pocket $100,000?
The question has many potential answers, which "72 Hours" confirms. Premiering Thursday, June 6, the TNT competition show from producers of ABC's "Extreme Makeover" franchise places three teams of strangers into a challenging environment in each episode. With only one bottle of water and a Gps tracking device, each squad must cross the forbidding terrain to find a briefcase that contains the aforementioned amount of cash.
Host Brandon Johnson -- who has acted on shows from "One Life to Live" (during its ABC era) to Disney Channel's "Shake It Up!" -- has a definite sense of what the "72 Hours" players went through. He tells Zap2it the show's season was "a straight 73-day shoot through various countries, from Hawaii and the Southern Rockies in the United States to Fiji, New Zealand and Tasmania. We bopped all over the world."

On the season premiere of “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition,” trainer Chris Powell met 22-year-old twins Becca and David, who had been struggling with their weight for years.
The twins blamed their weight problem -- Becca weighed 398 lbs. and David weighed 470 lbs. -- on their parents' divorce, which happened when the twins were teenagers. David said his lack of relationship with his father even led to a suicide attempt, but an unexpected call from his dad on the night of the attempt stopped him and he got the chance to thank his father on the show.
“You told me that you loved me and I hadn’t heard that in so long. But it was like all I needed at the time,” David told his dad Dan, who said he was proud of his son's strength.
Chris was able to whip the twins into shape, leading to a combined weight loss of 418 lbs.

When Zap2it was compiling a list of Fox's 25 worst shows to mark the network's 25th anniversary, "The Swan" was a no-brainer for inclusion. Here's what we had to say about it:
"Fox took the plastic-surgery concept of ABC's 'Extreme Makeover' and turned it into a pageant competition among women who radically changed their appearances, managing to offend lots and lots of people in the process. Somehow it earned a second season, but its ratings tanked and we were spared further horrors."
Alas, that part about being spared further horrors is no longer true. Reports say the network is reviving the format as a two-hour special -- with celebrities this time. (Presumably with the usual, very loose definition of "celebrity.")
Pics: The weirdest reality shows of all time
Casting is underway, although no one is as yet attached the show, which will give them the chance to, in the network's words,...
