In the episode celebrating her 40th birthday, Xuxa is awarded the Latin Grammy for Xuxa Só Para Baixinhos 2 (2001) from the hands of her longtime collaborator Renato Aragão.
Xuxa Só Para Baixinhos 2 (2001) lost the "race for ratings" to another female TV host for the first time during this series: Jackeline Peticovick, during her Bom Dia & Cia (1993) years. The animated series featured on this other show may have been a factor.
Differently from her previous variety shows, Xuxa created this series aided by professional educators. Xou da Xuxa (1988) was particularly criticized for highlighting consumerism onto the children. Her famous Paquitas had no pedagogical insight in looking after the kids on stage.
Poor ratings forced Xuxa's initial format to be changed. This is why the series became a game show in later years.
Created after Xuxa and her longtime manager and former close friend Marlene Mattos clashed and parted ways personally and professionally. Xuxa had been planning to focus on a much younger audience, while Mattos focus was on her now older viewers.
