Fight director Roberta Brown and technical advisor Chris Halstead trained Alex Kingston in sword-fighting and riding a chariot in the suburban neighborhood of Los Angeles. But during training, a policeman arrived. Alex Kingston explained about Boudica, and the policeman, who liked to research historical figures, was impressed asked when Boudica would be on television, and allowed them to continue training.
First-century reports tell that Boudica had two daughters, but fail to mention their names. Dramatic or fictionalized accounts often make up names for these daughters for narrative purposes. The fate of the daughters is not known: some legends have them both perishing along with Boudica, while others have one or both surviving and living on in obscurity.
Alex Kingston (Boudica) and Frances Barber (Agrippina the Younger) both went on to play important supporting characters on Doctor Who (2005).
Alex Kingston would later work with Frances Barber in the 6th series of "Doctor Who". Alex Kingston as River Song and Frances Barber as Madame Kovarian.
