A baffling mystery begins for Burden and a sick Wexford.

Reg collapses and ends up with a month off work, naturally he ends up working on a case, ignoring Doctor's orders.

A truly excellent mystery, which boasts a dramatic opening, and a really engaging story. An interesting switch up in dynamic between Reg and Mike, with the latter finally having the upper hand on his boss. Some larger then life characters throughout.

I find it so utterly baffling that these mysteries haven't had a full UK dvd release, thank goodness for the German company that's released those episodes transmitted over there.

I watched this as an omnibus and have to say it is the best episode yet of my binge watch of the show. A good cast (including a young Philip Glenister) and storyline that keeps you captivated and good humour too. It's just the ending that perhaps us a bit of a letdown.
