Hubby wishes to attend the club. Wifey weeps and in that it is a habit of hers to get on the man's nerves. Mother-in-law assures daughter that she should not put up with such a man. Hubby returns drunk and knocks over some statuary. Wifey and mother-in-law lecture him and the three children come from bed and listen behind the screen. The next morning at the breakfast table there is another scene. Mother-in-law goes to her room and prepares to leave forever, urging the wife to do the same. In the meantime the three children having tired of their play, decide to play grown-ups. They dress as "papa" and "grandma." Left alone in the front room they imitate their parents in the scene enacted the night before and that morning. Hubby returning with the decision that he will be master of his own home, observes the play through the window. Mother-in-law and daughter come down and peek through the curtains in time to see the excellent impersonation of themselves. The parents realize the foolishness of their actions and make up and hug the children for the lesson they have taught.
