When Darius Stone is first infiltrating the carrier ship, he climbs out of the water onto a chain. In long shots he is still wet, but close-ups show that he is dry.
The train travels for quite a distance after Darius jumps off, yet after it explodes, debris is seen falling on the spot where Darius hit the water.
When Darius Stone is a waiter carrying glasses of champagne, the number of glasses on his tray changes - down to one and then back up to three between shots
When Lola gives Darius the keys to the silver Cobra Concept, you can clearly see that there is no tattoo on the back of Darius's neck. But in the next scene in the car, as he is driving away the xxx tattoo is there.
After Darius steals the computer hard drives from the underground base, he jumps into a boat to escape. He never unties it from the dock. He just drives off.
During the chase of the bullet train, the operator of the train states that he cannot stop the train as he has no air pressure for the air brakes. In reality, air brakes work by supplying air to the brake pistons to keep the brake pads off of the rotor or away from the drum. When you apply the brakes, air pressure is removed from the system allowing spring pressure to force the pad to contact the rotor or drum. This is a fail-safe mode safety feature designed for an instance just like this. Thus, if the brakes lose air, the vehicle comes to a stop, and doesn't lose its ability to brake.
When the tank shoots a hole in the wall of the Capitol building, the hole is at the very base of the dome on the outside. This would put the hole up very high on the inside but instead it opens up on the floor of the Rotunda. It would actually be about 30 feet higher.
During the chase on board the aircraft carrier Stone manages to push the 'Abrams' tank that is after him to the side with his 'M2 Bradley'. The 'Bradley' is literally half the weight of the 'Abrams' and would be incapable of actually doing so.
When Zeke uses the main gun of the hijacked tank to blow a hole in the US Capitol Building so Darius and Steele can get inside, he is seen loading a sabot shell into the gun. This round is incapable of causing an explosion as seen in the film, or making a hole that size in the building.
On the aircraft carrier, Darius hooks up the tank to the
catapult and subsequently launches it off of the deck. Assuming the Bradley's tracks would not snag, this would be impossible. As the catapult would have to be powered up (it is steam powered), and there are several safeguards in place to keep a single individual from firing the cat. The catapult has to be set, it is not just "hot" all of the time, even if steam is available to other systems on the ship.
When Darius makes the jump from the prison roof to the helicopter, he is seen in slow motion diving towards the skid. From this side shot, it is obvious that his arc will put him a couple of feet short of the skid. In the next shot, he is shown easily reaching the skid to grab on.
The guard tower sniper at the prison is seen firing at Darius with an M40 bolt-action rifle during his escape on the helicopter, yet he is not seen operating the action and the sounds of the shots are too close together for this type of weapon.
Right after Darius blows the boats, Steele is on the dock firing at him. It is clearly shown that he shoots a couple rounds but his finger is not on the trigger.
After the boat explosion, Agent Steele shoots 3 times (there are gunshots and muzzle flashes), but his finger never touches the trigger, it's straight along the side of the pistol.
Obvious stunt double when Darius is escaping from jail.
As Gibbons's car drives into car park the dolly tracks are reflected in the red car.
When the truck crashes through the barricade en route to the Capitol building, you can see the cable attached to, and pulling on, the Humvee to pull it out of the frame to the right.
There is no "West side" or "South side" to Washington, DC. The best parallel to the "South Side" as referred to in the movie would be Southeast Washington. And the best parallel to the "West Side" would be Georgetown.
The actors say the President's Bullet Train runs out of the city along I-95 to the north-northwest. I-95 does not go through Washington (rather around it), and it goes northeast from the city through Maryland or south-southwest from the city through Virginia.
The DVD packaging for the Region 1 disc offers a brief biography on Darius Stone as "a thrill-seeking troublemaker whose criminal record and extreme sports obsession make him the perfect candidate to be the newest xXx agent." Darius never once alludes to an interest in extreme sports the entire film, and all of his stunts actions are done are out of necessity, not for thrill-seeking. The biography seems to be written about the original xXx (2002) character Xander Cage, rather than Darius Stone.
When Steele and Darius are discussing the presidential chain of command, Steele says, "President, VP, Speaker of the House, Secretary of State..." as the chain of command to leave the Secretary of Defense as President. That skips President pro tempore of the Senate (after Speaker of the House) and Secretary of the Treasury (after Secretary of State) so it would require six leaders be assassinated, not "just" four.
Darius claims that the Cobra Concept attained a speed of 220 or 225mph when in actuality, Ford claims it is only able to reach a speed of 185mph with the electronic limiter removed. Otherwise, it would only reach 100mph.
