It's a rare triumph for an actor to win a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's an extremely rare triumph for them to land multiple roles.
Adrian Pasdar is one of the lucky few. Not only did the American actor spend four seasons as Glenn Talbot in the popular television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he also voices the part of Tony Stark in multiple Marvel animated series.
As if that wasn't enough, Pasdar also provided the voice for Hawkeye in The Super Hero Squad Show And Captain America in the Black Panther animated series.
Maybe Marvel's phone broke and they could only call one actor for a while?
What's He Doing Now?
Since moving on from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Pasdar has continued to book consistent voice work and television shows. Over the past two years he's added podcasting to his repertoire, with roles in the fully-scripted kids'-story podcast The...

It’s nearly impossible to become a household name faster than Haley Joel Osment did in the late ’90s. The critical and commercial success of The Sixth Sense catapulted him into the limelight as a child actor worthy of being considered alongside adult peers in major award categories.
Osment seemingly managed to avoid the dark side of young stardom despite his entrance into the entertainment industry coming in a way that can only be described as creepy Af.
Haley Joel Osment | Jeff Kravitz/Getty Images Osment’s career started after strangers took pictures of him at an Ikea
When Osment was four years old, he went to an Ikea in Burbank, California, with his mother, Theresa. That shopping trip would change the course of his and his family’s life. When the Osments went passed the child’s play area, two women took pictures of Haley Joel, something they did...

Billy Joe Shaver, the outlaw-country original who wrote classic songs for the likes of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings and whose “Live Forever” was performed by Robert Duvall in the 2009 Best Picture Oscar nominee Crazy Heart, died today after a stroke in Waco, TX. He was 81. A friend confirmed his death to our sister publication Rolling Stone.
Although Shaver never had much commercial success as a recording artist, he is widely considered among country’s greatest songwriters. All but one of the tracks on Jennings’ 1973 album Honky Tonk Heroes — an early benchmark of the “outlaw country” genre — were written or co-written by Shaver, including its famous title cut. His best-known songs also include “Ain’t No God in Mexico” “I’m Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I’m Gonna Be a Diamond Some Day),” “Georgia on a Fast Train,” “Tramp on Your Street” and “Try and Try Again.

HBO Max has a major job on its hands to justify its approximately $15 a month subscription fee, especially given the strong competition out there from established names like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Disney Plus faced a similar challenge last year in arriving onto an already-saturated streaming marketplace, but at least had the advantage of major series like The Mandalorian to promote. While HBO Max will eventually be home to the Snyder cut of Justice League, and has some originals for its first week of availability, the big draw right now is its enormous back-catalogue of movies.
Given the various corporate elements that are going into HBO Max, including the Warner Bros. library, owners AT&T will be hoping that the combination of brand recognition for HBO programming, and a deep bench of movies, will convince people to add a new subscription to their list. Do you like lists? Well, here’s a doozy. Below is everything coming to Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu and Amazon Prime in June 2020.
Though the summer sun is starting to beat down, most of us are still being encouraged to stay indoors for Covid-19 related reasons. It’s not much fun, but at the very least, there’s an absolute ton of stuff landing in June that should distract you from the call of the beach.
Of particular note is the newly launched HBO Max, which is trying to catch the eye of potential subscribers with a red-hot first month. There’s an excellent selection of movies coming on June 1st, with horror titles like An American Werewolf in London (still the best werewolf movie ever made), Final Destinations 1-4, From Dusk til Dawn and Lifeforce.

Welcome to the HBO Max era! WarnerMedia’s streaming giant arrived on May 27 and is absolutely bursting with Warner movies, TV shows, and other titles. But time waits for no man or streaming service and each new month HBO Max will be expected to bring new content to the table. Things get started in June 2020 with the first batch of HBO Max new releases.
To be clear, the majority of the original series coming to HBO Max actually belongs to HBO. Shows like I May Destroy You (June 7), Perry Mason (June 21), and I’ll Be Gone in the Dark (June 28) all belong to HBO…which now just happens to be a part of HBO Max. Confusing stuff, we know, but rest assured that if you have HBO Max you’ll get these shows…and if you only have HBO, you can go ahead and just get HBO Max for the same price anyway.

Musical television series have been a risky proposition for years, but the recent ratings success of projects like Fox’s Glee and ABC’s Nashville has certainly made network heads a little more bullish about ordering similar shows. Now, though, ABC is taking the exceptionally bold step on committing to an ambitious musical series that, if successful, will pave the way for even more small screen singing and dancing. Reteaming with Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, the network is eyeing a modern adaptation of Phantom of the Opera.
Similar to ABC’s Nashville, the “contemporary” adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s classic gothic novel will arrive as a drama with musical elements. Set in “the sexy and cutthroat world of the modern-day music business,” the hour long scripted series will include a script by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (Secondhand Lions, 17 Again).

We look at 20 former A-list actors, and the interesting film choices they've made...
There comes a time in every A-list actor's life when they gather their thoughts and take a step back into smaller budget or more leftfield fare - and for a variety of reasons. They may want to work with a certain director or an emerging directing talent. They might be taken by a fantastic script. They might fancy a new artistic direction. They may even have a spiritual epiphany and decide to eschew Hollywood and all its decadent trappings, or they may simply just not have a choice, since the big roles have long since dried up for them.
The reason for this list then, is to look at some of those shining lights, the household names, and at the films they took up as proof of their artistic integrity.

In the new thriller "Stoker" (in theaters Friday), a girl (Mia Wasikowska) whose recently lost her father suspects the motives of the uncle she never knew she had. Matthew Goode plays the enigmatic "Uncle Charlie," surely a nod to the main character in Alfred Hitchcock's film "Shadow of a Doubt," in which a small-town girl discovers her beloved uncle is really a serial killer. We doubt that's this Charlie's secret but it's often true in films that you simply cannot trust your uncle. Take Hamlet's wicked uncle, Claudius, whose dastardly plan has inspired more than one cinematic villain's plot to seize power. Of course, Shakespeare also drew from real life, since murderous uncles and young heirs unfortunately go hand in hand. And then there are those uncles who get away with a different kind of murder, whether it's neglect or outright abuse. Here are 12 of the creepiest, no-good movie uncles we could find.

Quick: Name five successful actors who started as children. Even if you can do it, it probably takes you a bit of time, and it's no surprise why. The "washed up child actor" is one of the most infamous Hollywood tropes, one that affected even Haley Joel Osment, the Oscar nominated actor who starred in the 1999 megahit The Sixth Sense. He pretty much dropped of the map after 2003's woefully under-seen Secondhand Lions, but now he has a leading role in the sci fi mystery I'll Follow You Down.

Remember Haley Joel Osment, the adorable/creepy kid from The Sixth Sense and Pay It Forward? He’s making a comeback in Sassy Pants and trying his darndest to make a new impression on a public that hasn’t seen him in a feature film since 2003 when he starred Secondhand Lions.
In the new independent comedy, he plays Chip, a young, hard-partying gay man who forms a relationship with his much older boyfriend’s naïve daughter. The bold career move reminds me of Macaulay Culkin, another former child star who tried to make the difficult transition into adult stardom by reemerging in edgy projects like Party Monster and the religious comedy Saved!. While it didn’t exactly work for Culkin, hopefully Osment’s makes a much more successful re-introduction on Jan. 28, the day when Sassy Pants premieres at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

It has been 13 (gasp!) years since Haley Joel Osment saw ghosts in "The Sixth Sense," and he's proving he's all grown-up in the trailer for "Sassy Pants." Osment resurfaces in this indie as the boyfriend of Diedrich Bader, whose estranged daughter (Ashley Rickards of "Awkward" fame) seeks him out to get away from her overbearing, home-schooling mother. Osment doesn't seem to be the sassy-seated title character (sorry, fans of Sassy Gay Friend), but he does rock some very short cut-offs. And the potential for advice to the clueless heroine is huge. The film marks the debut of writer-director Coley Sohn and will have its world premiere Jan. 28 at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Osment, whose last major film was 2003's "Secondhand Lions," will also star in the upcoming thriller "Wake the Dead," based on the Steve Niles graphic novel of the same name. He'll play a modern-day Dr. Frankenstein,...

It has been some time since we've seen Haley Joel Osment. The Sixth Sense star practically went into hiding after 2003's Secondhand Lions, saving us all from watching his awkward stage unfold across the big screen like so many child stars before him. (Thank you, Haley.) Instead, Osment smartly sidestepped the spotlight, went to college, and took to voice acting, making only the occasional film appearance in a couple of movies you've likely never heard of. But now he's back and all grown up in the trailer for writer-director Coley Sohn's debut feature Sassy Pants. Based on the Sohn's award-winning comedic short "Boutenniere," Sassy Pants centers on the coming-of-age tale of Bethany Pruitt (Awkward star Ashley Rickards), a home-schooled teen who is desperately seeking freedom from the overbearing parenting of her sweet but smothering single-mom (Breaking Bad's Anna Gunn). So, she runs off to live with her absentee...

Though he hasn't done much in the vein of acting in nearly a decade (his last high profile film was Secondhand Lions in 2003), it looks like Haley Joel Osment is on the verge of a grown-up comeback. We've previously heard that Osment was looking to return to the big screen a couple other projects, but it looks like we might see his return in a film called Sassy Pants. In the film about a teenage girl (Ashley Rickards) with a gay dad (Diedrich Bader) and overbearing mom, who is trying to get a job and go away to college, Osment plays the father's young boyfriend Chip Hardy sporting cut-off jean shorts. Watch below! Here's the trailer for Coley Sohn's quirky comedy Sassy Pants courtesy of THR: Coley Sohn wrote and directed Sassy Pants which marks the return of child star Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) to the big...
