"Speed" on roller blades
Mikew30017 August 2002
This German TV action movie has a very interesting plot, making a roller blad driving mail deliverer a witness to some corrupt copy murdering two drug-dealing lawyers. Of course th villains are starting a big hunt through the streets of Berlin, and the mail man on wheels has to climb on wheels, escape through the subway and show his artistic abilities on every different street to stay alive. While on the run, he's trying to find out the mystery of this conspiracy.

Though it's just a prime time TV action movie with a standard plot and with no big stars in it, it has a big impact. The scenes on the run are thrilling and sometimes really breath-taking, with an over 20-minute-long car/roller blades chase sequence in the middle of the film that appears like a mixture of the "Bullitt" car chase, "Speed" and "Lola rennt".

The main actor of the film, Turk Erdogan Atalay, is well-known to German TV audiences as star of the car action series "Alarm für Cobra 11". Supporting roles are played by former mystery crime show moderator Guntbert Warns as police detective, beautiful actress Bojana Golenac, soap opera star Arne Elholz ("Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten") and b-movie veteran Rolf Zacher (the last both being murdered just in the beginning of the story).
