Great homage to the company and people who've formed our pop culture
This is the history of Atlantic Record from it's beginning to essentially where it's at today. Integral part of its history is of course the great musicians like Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Rolling Stones and host of others which read's like who's who of modern pop culture. The program interweaves recollection by its founders Armet Ertigun, Herb Abramsen, Miriam Abramsen, and Jerry Wexler with scenes from the Atlantic's artists' performances from their earlier years. The comments by the founders are priceless, and so are the comments and footages of all the artists that appear on this program. A genuine piece of blues, pop, and rock history can be seen on this excellent program. The only reason why I give it a "9" is because 2 hours was too short, and I wished it was edited longer.
