Since WWE purchased WCW and the vast video library that came along with it, there have been numerous releases devoted to WCW related content, from the Goldberg set, to the Best of Nitro stuff, down to the Nwo release, but this is the first time WWE has taken a look at the best matches from the rich history of WCW’s Pay-Per-View’s. So here it is, volume one in the greatest matches from the PPV years of WCW.
WCW had some great PPV shows over the years of their existence. From Starrcade to Halloween Havoc, Superbrawl to Uncensored, Road Wild to Sin. Okay, ignore Sin, pretend I didn’t say that.
Here, in this 3 DVD/2 Bd set, you get over 20 matches ranging from 1987 until 2001 and the quality is, for the most-part, very high. From true wrestling greats, such as Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Vader, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage,...

Any true WWE fan knows that there’s just as big a story of what goes on backstage as what goes on when the cameras are rolling. In the Internet age, we are privy to so much backstage information that we take it for granted sometimes. Back in the 1990s, unless you had a subscription to the Wrestling Observer, you were not privy to all of the goings-on backstage.
Thanks in large part to the historians at The History of WWE, there are some interesting nuggets of trivia that you might not have known about. We will plan on doing one list for every year of the 1990s starting with 1993, the year Monday Night Raw debuted. Included in this list is information that might win you a few bar bets with your friends. Let’s open the history books and see what 1993 had to offer!

Hulkamania is about to run wild all over Toronto's Fan Expo when Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea opens up like never before for a no holds barred, falls count anywhere, no-disqualification Q&A session he's calling "Hulk Hogan: Uncensored."
Moderated by former WCW president Eric Bischoff inside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre's John Bassett Theatre, the Friday night event requires a separate ticket from Fan Expo proper, but will give Canadian Hulkamanics the opportunity to go one-on-one with The Hulkster and ask him anything they want.
Turns out they deserve it, because when we caught up with Hogan for our own Q&A, he revealed that fans played an important role in bringing him out from his post-divorce depression and his son's legal troubles to what is now the happiest time in his life.

Have you been dying to see Hulk Hogan's life story told on the big screen? Never fear, wrestling fans -- the Hulkster has got you covered.
In an interview with The Canadian Press to promote an upcoming appearance in Toronto, Hogan revealed that there's a biopic about him in the works, and while the film isn't a done deal yet, he knows exactly who he wants to play him.
"I think we need a serious, serious actor that knows what he's doing," Hogan said. "You know who I thought would be good? That guy that did that action movie, 'Thor.'"
While Chris Hemsworth probably isn't too thrilled that Hogan couldn't remember his name, playing the mustachioed Wrestlemania star would certainly be in his wheelhouse. Hemsworth's action-heavy filmography has already prepared him physically for the role, but how might he handle the Hulk's more drama-filled life experiences? Hogan...
