Really, truly bad. Really that bad. No, I'm not kidding. It is.
el-loco24 April 2002
As my summary said, this is bad. The script is bad. The acting is, even though you wouldnt think it's possible, worse then the script. I won't even comment on the directing, nor the whole idea behind the film.

This is the problem with Norwegian movies. They suck. Elling was good, note that Elling is the exception. This is nothing like Elling. Not warm, not funny not well made. Not based on a cool book by a cool guy. This stuff was just ridiculous. Soooo many cliches. There where no suspense, no question as of who did what they did nor why they did it. They just did it.

Only thing that kept us motivated trough out the film was the violence and the fact that it was so bad we where laughing. So would I recommend it? If you are really drunk or something I'm sure this could've been somewhat fun. Not as a good comedy, at all (see Elling instead) but as a mockery to film in general.

I don't know what else to say. It has some blood and gore, but not enough to make it a slasher. It doesn't have the humor of one of those (like bad taste or Evil Ed.. you catch my drift..) nor is it good enough to be one. Bottom line is, it's a bad piece of movie. Sure, it's Norwegian. Wo-ho. It's not good. It's bad. Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad. Not as bad as Diplomatic Siege, but still bad.

Stay away.

Is this a movie?
preb17 April 2006
I was looking forward to take a break from my boring exam in Design History,to watch this movie a late Friday night. Well, The movie began 20 minutes ago, and now I'm here, just relieved to be back at my computer. I'm just gonna write this review and then go on reading about fabric-hall design in the early 20th century. You can just guess what my opinion of the movie is. The images were sharp, the colors were descent for DV-format, even the editing was satisfying. There were some people in the movie too... I might go back again and watch another minute of the movie later, while I'm having a cigarette....or maybe it's time to stop smoking...

awful

I like low-budget horror-flicks. A lot. But this movie is just plain crap. No charm, no heart, nothing. Some low-budget horror movies are cool because you can tell that the people who made it really has an interest in the genre, and that they love what they do, but the people who made this probably decided to make a horror movie because it's cheap, went out and rented a bunch of old old classics, and started filming without much of a plan. The "story" is so paper thin it makes most horror movies look like Oscar material. No cool gore at all. I thought I might give it a 2 since they obviously had no budget at all, but it's just to bad for a 2. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Avoid

Horror?
helenealex9 March 2007
I saw this movie when i was about 14 years old, and i thought Disney's "Cinderella" was more frightening. It was predictable, and to me it looked like a bad copy of "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer". At least, it's the first horror movie that made me cry...of laughter! So, if you want to see a good,Norwegian horror movie, this is not the one you want to see. see "Villmark"(Dark Woods) or "Fritt Vilt"(Cold Prey) instead.(But no-one of them scared me so much either...) The only horrible with this movie, it's the fact that it was ever made!!!

DON'T BUY IT! DON'T RENT IT! DON'T SEE IT!

This...is...one....lousy....movie...

This is supposed to be the first Norwegian slasher. It is the first norwegian movie to be worse than Dis, that's it. The makers should watch Braindead and Cannibal Holocaust and learn what a slasher is. I have no words to describe how much this suck. And now my waste of time on this POS is up.

Not all bad, if somewhat close

A Nordic slasher. Who would have thought such a film would ever see the light of day? Though this goes by some of the rules of slasher flicks, something's missing for it to be a genuine slasher. It's hardly gore, false scares or daft teenagers... heck, there's some of all of that within the first five minutes, *and* gratuitous nudity to boot(something that is a rarity in the newer slashers, but somewhat dominant of the older ones, or so I've been told). The plot is something of a mess(and seemingly stitched together through various other slasher plots), with subplots and back-story all over the place, little, if any, of it providing much other than a way to pass the time to get this past the minimum length requirement of a feature film. I would be lying if I claimed that I understood even half of the characters actions. There are definite problems with character development, as well... in fact, it hardly seems to exist, except for possibly one character. I found myself having trouble telling them apart(strange, due to how few there are), though that did get easier as the movie goes along(for obvious reasons... a monumentally strong hint would be which genre film it is). The dialog, acting and editing are amateurish, but they(well, the last two, at least) do show signs of legitimate attempts made for more than that, which can't always be said. The effects are clearly cheap and mostly, the camera simply covers this up, which works OK(better than bad effects paraded in plain sight). The cinematography is fair; somewhat experimental but often there are too few or too bad angles, and I far too often found myself wondering what was going on or who was doing what. This was shot on DV(as opposed to film or HD), and while the film does show, I think they did fine with this format, one I myself have had the pleasure and good fortune of working with. The sound is somewhat uninspired, with rock music(a rather unlucky habit that seems to have formed recently, with low-budget slashers) in the chase scenes. Sound effects are terribly exaggerated, making for close to comic death and suspense scenes. All in all, I enjoyed the slasher elements of this, but that's about it. I recommend this only to big fans of slashers who can lower their expectations and enjoy a discount version of what you're used to. 3/10

One of the crappiest films I´ve ever seen
el_trubaduro22 April 2004
Let me tell You, Norway is a country that is good in many things, but filmmaking is not one of them. 22 is a movie that sucked big time. The structure of it was awful, the murderer was in about three places within five minutes,

or so it seemed. No, I won´t waste my time to write anymore about it. Now You folks have been warned. I hope You´re wise enough to take it seriously. Do not see this movie!!

Amateur, but entertaining enough to watch...even maybe a few times for me ;-)
bronco4x429 January 2004
An attempt to make a Norwegian version of "Scream" or such Hollywood thriller films. This is a much lower-budgeted film, and not to mention, its not even popular in their own country (Norway)!

Though I must say, I still enjoyed it. I've bought it for a cheap price at a store in a gas station in Northern Norway, and thought of giving it a try. It's not exactly really scary. True hardcore fans of horror films will find this probably one of the most pathetic horror films ever made. But realistically, to me, ITS JUST A MOVIE. Nothing will ever be perfectly made. Actually, if this low-budget or amateur film was meant to be made that way, yet at the same time, tried to have it spiced up a bit...then "22" doesn't fail to do so. It is probably one of the best amateur-"wannabe" thrillers I've ever seen. Acting is not comparable to many other professional ones, but its not the end of the world. It's ok.

The whole movie was simple (plot and such), yet it was entertaining to watch. There are some blood and gore scenes. Therefore, its not one of those movies where someone gets stabbed in them stomach with maybe only one or two drops of blood coming out of it.

Some people wondered why I give it a 9/10? Well, one reason is, seeing an average of 3/10 is quite harsh...second, once again...it was fun to watch! I wouldn't mind seeing this movie more than a couple times. It's not as terrible as it sounds, unless you have high expectations. If you just want to watch this movie for the heck of it without much expectations, and KNOW before-hand its a lower-budgeted film, then you probably wouldn't be too disappointed.
