These days, every big budget comic book movie is met with speculation about the amount of “studio interference” involved in production, but with Justice League, this speculation is augmented by the question of where director Zack Snyder’s work ends, and where the additional material and reshoots of Joss Whedon begins.
This is because Snyder had to depart the project after filming had ended, and Whedon – who had already been working on the script – was drafted in to handle post-production and reshoots. Producer Charles Roven subsequently conceded that the theatrical release consisted of about 15-20% Joss Whedon footage, but we suspect that might be underselling it a bit.
Now, six days on from release, and fans are already petitioning Warner Bros. for a Director’s Cut – that online petition has so far garnered more than 100,000 signatures – while Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, believes there is enough leftover footage to make a second movie.

Fashionista finds you back in Austin after Red White and Blue. What excites you about Austin so much? Could Fashionista have been set anywhere else?
I had such a great experience on Red White & Blue for so many different reasons that it was only natural that, at some point, I’d return to Austin. With Tim League (exec producer), Paul Knauss (co-producer) and Karen Hallford (casting director) I’ve got a great bunch of friends who also happen to be great collaborators and they form the core of both films’ Austin based crew and most probably without them neither films would have happened. Beyond that, I love the unique style of Austin, the food, the music,...

Belgium’s Oscar submission The Ardennes feels like Drive by way of Fargo and Bullhead, i.e. it’s a gritty neo-noir that thrills and disturbs in equal measures. The quasi-Biblical (or Greek) plot follows two brothers who are like night and day, Dave (Jeroen Perceval who wrote the play the film is based on) is a kind soul who works in a carwash and is trying to set up a home with his girlfriend Sylvie (Veerle Baetens), the problem is she was his brother Kenneth’s (Kevin Janssens) girl before he went away to prison. His release brings the family happiness and pain, as they try to help him adapt to the new situation. This article contains spoilers for Cobra. We suspect we're the only website to have written those words in recent times....
Had Sylvester Stallone had his way, the now cult classic Beverly Hills Cop would have been a much different film. Before Eddie Murphy was cast in the role that would define his acting career, the part of Axel Foley was offered to Sly. Yet the Italian Stallion had other ideas in mind for what he wanted the film to be, so he took it upon himself to rewrite the script, moulding it to suit his strengths as a white-knuckled mortal terminator. As screenwriter Daniel Petrie Jr told us last year, whilst it was "considered a coup to have written a script to attract...

As the wrestling world gears up for the crowning of a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the ride to this point has been quite fun. Cesaro and Neville might’ve failed to win their second round matches, but the creative performances of both competitors earned them several entries onto this week’s countdown of the best spots.
It’s not all Cesaro and Neville, though. There’s a tag tournament going on over in the New Japan promotion worthy of highlighting as well as fun moves and moments from Nxt and Ring of Honor.
15. Drive By Countered Into Swing WWE
Whenever an opponent is strung out on the bottom rope with their head to the outside, they typically just stay there like a doofus until Roman Reigns performs his Drive-By kick to them.
Cesaro was a little too clever for that this past Monday and actually moved out of the way.

There was a trend that took place during WWE Battleground with wrestlers doing spots on the side of the ring apron. It’s something that management has encouraged talent to do because they saw how common it is in Ring of Honor, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Any regular viewer of Ring of Honor knows they have been doing those kinds of bump for many years, so it’s definitely plausible to think that there was a Roh influence on it. One of the more famous ring apron spots that WWE wrestlers have done was when The Undertaker did the leg drop on the apron while his opponent’s head was under the bottom rope.

“Can anybody find me somebody to love?”
I posed one of Queen’s most plaintive lyrics for most of Wednesday’s American Idol “Group Rounds” telecast — and unfortunately, only a handful of contestants answered the call. There were forgotten lyrics, cacophonous harmonies, a few instances of face-down-on-the-carpet exhaustion and a smattering of “I didn’t come here to make friends” squawking. But “Holy crap, I want to know that contestant’s 877-number so I can start voting for him/her right this second!” vocals were in short supply.

Where aren’t you Hugh? TNT has announced that its annual Christmas in Washington special will be hosted by Hugh Jackman. The holiday concert special will air on December 20th at 8:00 p.m. (Et/Pt), and will feature some very special performers, including: Anna Kendrick, Sheryl Crow, Backstreet Boys, and more.
This has long been one of my favorite holiday traditions, and has offered up some of the most entertaining performers, and all-around enjoyable evenings for years.
That tradition continues (well, quite frankly, I’m not a fan of Backstreet Boys) this year with not only some great performances, but you can’t go wrong with Hugh Jackman running your show, whatever it is. Right? I can’t wait for Sheryl Crow, Anna Kendrick is a surprisingly awesome singer, and you don’t want to miss Pat Monahan.
Catch all the info below, and let me know if you’ll be tuning in.

Tickets are selling fast for the 46th Annual Awgie Awards, to be held in Melbourne on October 4.
To be hosted by writer, comedian and singer Sammy J, the ceremony will honour the achievements made by Australian writers for performance. The Awgie Awards are the only Australian awards judged solely by writers on the basis of the script . the writer's intention . rather than the finished production.
"The Awgies are the highlight of the year for us and a unique chance to celebrate the oft-unsung but stellar work created by Australian writers of the script," says Awg.s President and Academy Award nominee Jan Sardi..

From Vienna in Before Sunrise to Paris in Before Sunset, the story of Celine and Jesse is obviously the heart of why we love these films so much, but the locations speak to that sense of romance in us all. Meeting someone in a foreign country and enjoying a passionate, one night affair, believing you can't exist without them. Nine years pass without a word and you see them again, in Paris of all places. You walk, talk and fall for each other all over again, realizing this is something more than just puppy love. But these are the stories of the first two films in this franchise, Before Midnight is something of a different beast as we once again step into the lives of Celine (Julie Delpy) and Jesse (Ethan Hawke) as they are vacationing with their two girls in Southern Peloponnese, Greece. Today's map highlights the locations from...

Get this: Gotye's kooky earworm "Somebody That I Used to Know" beat out Carly Rae Jepsen's jumpy hopscotch anthem "Call Me Maybe" to top Spotify's list of The Top 100 Most Popular Songs of the Year. It was either one or the other, so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. Here's the full Top 10.
1. Gotye featuring Kimbra — "Somebody That I Used to Know"
2. Carly Rae Jepsen — "Call Me Maybe"
3. Fun. featuring Janelle Monáe — "We Are Young"
4. Flo Rida — "Whistle"
5. Flo Rida featuring Sia — "Wild Ones"
6. Train — "Drive By"
7. Nicki Minaj — "Starships"
8. Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa — "Payphone"
9. David Guetta featuring Sia — "Titanium"
10. Loreen — "Euphoria"
Hmmm. Can't say I'm in love with this rundown. Here are three songs I wish had at least scored a single-digit position.
3. No Doubt, "Looking Hot"

Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” has nabbed the dubious honor of being Spotify’s most popular track of 2012, a year in which the world fell in love with bland, vaguely electro ballads. It narrowly beat out Carly Rae Jepsen’s summer juggernaut “Call Me Maybe,” which came in second. Also making the list of the world’s mildest and broadly palatable singles are fun.’s “We Are Young,” Train’s “Drive By,” and not one but two songs from Flo Rida, who made the chart with “Whistle” and “Wild Ones.” The most frequently streamed group in ...

Universal Studios has announced the Blu-Ray release of Pitch Perfect for next month. The film stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.
Teen-pop musicals are a big deal right now, with films like Step Up continuing to pump out entries. The latest one to break the mold and earn some dough is Pitch Perfect, starring the now popular Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. The film was smartly marketed, which resulted in a casual roll-out to more and more theaters, eventually stealing some thunder from other more well known titles.
I’m not fan the biggest fan of the genre, so I stayed away, but our very own Jonathan Lack had this to say about the film in his review:
Pitch Perfect has enough pleasures to overcome its failings, even if the margin is fairly slim at times. It is worth watching, but prepare to be bothered by how much of its potential goes unrealized.

The film stars Kendrick as Beca, who’s new in college and discovers she doesn’t fit in any clique. But she finds where she belongs in a strange place — an acoustic singing group alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls.
Beca leads the group out of their traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies with new mashups and they fight to climb their way to the top of college music competitions.

Thursday night's episode of The Voice revealed America's – and the coaches' – favorites from the previous nights of playoffs. And while the coaches were torn about sending their singers home, only three from each team of five could continue on to the top 12.
The night kicked off with Team Adam and Team Blake joining for a performance of Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger." Then came the moment of truth for Adam Levine's singers. America saved Amanda Brown and Bryan Keith, but Levine struggled to make the next cut.

"The Voice" eliminated eight of its contestants on Thursday after the first week of live performances.
Joselyn Rivera and Loren Allred were eliminated from Team Adam, with America saving Amanda Brown and Bryan Keith, while Adam saved Melanie Martinez. Melanie was crying even before Adam made his decision and balled when her name was revealed. "No one is better than the other, I don't believe that," Adam said before announcing his decision. Joselyn thanked everyone and said graciously, "You don't have to win to be a winner."
Blake Shelton lost Julio Cesar Castillo and Liz Davis from his team. America saved Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope, who will be moving on along with Michaela Paige, who Blake saved. "I want everybody at home to know that each one of them has given 100 percent," Blake said, adding that any one of them could win.
From Christina Aguilera's team, De'Borah and Devyn DeLoera were eliminated.

And then there were 12! Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton each had to say goodbye to two of their contestants on tonight's episode of The Voice. It wasn't all sad eliminations, however, as the night featured some fun performances: Team Adam and Team Blake performed Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger," Team Cee Lo and Team Christina teamed up for Train's "Drive By," season two winner Jermaine Paul sang his new single "I Believe in This Life," and Maroon 5 took the stage to perform their latest hit single "Daylight." I walked into Taken 2 with very low expectations only to learn they should have been lower. This is the film we all thought the first would be, only to come away saying, That actually wasn't all that bad. What's worse is Taken 2 doesn't fail due to the contrived premise. By merely showing up we've accepted the idea that once again Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is going to have to save his family after they've been kidnapped. The idea was made plausible enough the first time, despite its ridiculous set up. But for as ridiculous as the last film was, with Mills able to track his daughter down in a city of millions of people, you haven't seen ridiculous until you've seen Taken 2. Grenades, steam signals and circles on maps are just the start of the hilarity. From the beginning our timeline is thrown off as we're seeing...

The charts. 95% of artists would like to be on them, the other 5% say they don’t but secretly yearn for a shot at the bigtime. The charts represent what the public are buying right now and what their tastes are at the moment (or at least what’s had the most hype/promotion/radio play). Here (and hopefully for every week from now on) are the top 10 singles’s of the 3 major English-speaking chart markets – the USA, UK and Australia. Plus, as an added bonus, I’ll be giving you a run-down of all the number ones everywhere else plus a music video of one of the ones you’ve probably never heard of on that list. Bonus. So have a gander at what the world thinks is prime musical pie…

And Round 1 of the dance duel means the demise of Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff.
“Dancing with the Stars” debuted its much-debated dance duel Tuesday, during which the bottom two couples, Gavin and Karina and Jaleel White and Kym Johnson, did cha-chas at the same time to a snippet of “Edge of Glory.” Jaleel and Kym actually danced; Gavin spent a lot of time on his knees or in hold. Not surprisingly, the judges unanimously saved Jaleel and Kym.

Rachael Ray says having Train aboard her show is "like being Jimmy Fallon for a week."
For the first time, the daytime cooking-and-talk-show host will have a "house band" on her eponymous syndicated program for five consecutive days starting Monday (April 16). The Grammy-winning group will perform daily, with "Hey, Soul Sister," "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)," "Meet Virginia" and "Marry Me" among the Train hits featured ... along with the band's current single, "Drive By."
"Train has been a friend of our show for years," Ray tells Zap2it during a benefit-show appearance at her alma mater, Lake George (N.Y.) Jr.-Sr. High School. "They just did the South by Southwest Festival for us, as the closing act at a showcase that had over a couple dozen bands on three different stages. It's a very eclectic mix. We try to have up-and-coming acts, then you have to have some crowd-pleasers.

Train’s Patrick Monahan likes his lady, his wine and his classic car and not necessarily in this order. In the video for the jaunty “Drive By,” he’s done his woman wrong and has to figure out a way to get back into her good graces. He’s got a lot going for him (besides being a rock star): he’s got a 1967 Pontiac Firebird and lots of friends who also can caravan with him in their classic cars (remember, the song is called “Drive By”) from San Francisco to Sonoma.
