Although he made name for himself as the ring-bearer and an essential member of the Fellowship of the Ring, we've never really thought of Frodo as the warrior type. However, Warner Bros. has revealed Frodo Baggins as the newest playable character Dlc for "Guardians of Middle-Earth" on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Here's the official character bio:
Frodo Baggins is an exceptionally famous Hobbit, best known as the ring-bearer during the Quest for the Ring. As an instrumental member of the Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo’s role in the defeat of Sauron during the War of the Ring made him one of the most famous Hobbits in the history of Middle-earth. He later joined the Elves in Aman to rest peacefully until the end of his days.
Frodo’s Gameplay Abilities:
Heavy Burden: Gains stealth at the cost of his health
Light of Earendil: Blinds and stuns nearby enemies
Mithril Mail:...

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
In this first part of the Trilogy, the young hobbit Frodo Baggins inherits a ring; but this ring is no mere trinket. It is the One Ring, an instrument of absolute power that could allow Sauron, the dark Lord of Mordor, to rule Middle-earth and enslave its peoples. Frodo, together with a Fellowship that includes his loyal hobbit friends,...

Peter Jackson’s epic fantasy masterpiece of the J. R. R. Tolkien classic, “The Lord of the Rings” is finally on BluRay and from many reports, it looks bloody amazing. Heck it looks bloody amazing already from the trailer for this Blu-Ray box set (see trailer below)! Not only is it immediately apparent how much work was put into the conversion to BluRay high definition quality, but it sounds like the world of Middle Earth is suddenly more real than ever. The added depth and detail lends a richness to every dimension an already visually-stunning trilogy of films.
While all this is fantastic, there’s a fly in this soup – die-hard fans of the trilogy are not so thrilled. Why? This release contains the three theatrical releases of the “Fellowship of the Ring”, “Two Towers”, and “Return of the King” along with the same special features that came with those DVD sets.

HollywoodNews.com stays on top of the latest DVD and Blu-ray releases so you know which films are worth your time and money. This week, we recommend:
The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy
Let’s get the obvious out of the way: New Line Home Entertainment’s initial Blu-ray treatment of its precious “Lord of the Rings” franchise concentrates on the truncated theatrical cuts instead of director Peter Jackson’s extended editions.
Disappointed fans have expressed their anger on the appropriate message boards, and are likely to wait for those releases — even though the studio hasn’t mentioned when, or even if, such treatments will ever be applied to Jackson’s longer versions.
For those who choose not to wait, the “Rings” Blu-rays await you, and they are glorious. Frodo (Elijah Wood) embarks on his quest to destroy the darkly powerful ring,...

Best Films Of The Decade (aka The Naughties) From Alex & Terry
List # 1
By Alex Simon
When Terry and I initially discussed writing these lists, I had a tough time thinking back on 20 films over the past decade which I was really taken with, thinking that movies have sunk so low over the past ten years, that even choosing a dozen would be a short-order job. Thirty minutes into it, my list had nearly 60 titles! After much cutting, pasting, and re-cutting and pasting, here are my top 20 films (in no particular order) of the first decade of the 21st century, dubbed by many as “the naughties.” --A.S.
1.No Country for Old Men (Coen Brothers, 2007) An elegiac blend of stark beauty and full-throttle despair from two of our finest filmmakers, set in the contemporary American West. Every frame is damn near flawless, and would have been an even more perfect vehicle for the late Sam Peckinpah.
