Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Not graphic for a Friday the 13th videogame but a bit intense for a NES game. Players fight their way with lots of enemies such as wolves, bats and especially zombies by throwing rocks, knives, machetes, axes and torches. Enemies simply disappear when defeated.
  • The main goal of the game is to defeat Jason which is not easy and requires a lot of strategy. It is very likely that at least one or two of your counselours get killed along the way, but when they do, they simply fall to the ground (not graphic)

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Trully one of the most intense and scariest NES games ever
  • The less health Jason has, the more powerfull and faster he becomes. Jason can also appear out of nowhere to attack you (outside and especially inside the houses) this will probably fright and jumpscare some younger players. And sometimes there is a Jason alarm to warn when your friends or the kids are being attacked by Jason and if you don't get to that area in the set time, he kills them (off-screen).
  • When either all the six playable camp counselelors or all the children that you must protect from Jason get killed, the game is over and a message appears saying that you and your friends are dead.
  • Suggested ESRB rating: rated E10+ for Fantasy Violence
  • Suggested PEGI rating: 7+ for Non realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters and other characters which although human, are not very well detailed; violence that is not shown, but is implied/Pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children
