As everyone is aware by now, Matt Reeves’ The Batman was a huge hit. However, even though it was always set in a different universe from the main Dceu at the time, it appears that it is also not going to be connected to James Gunn’s new Dcu, as it will have another Batman there.
While Gunn is preparing his own Batman films that will be a part of the Dcu, Matt Reeves is still working on his trilogy of Batman films at Warner. It remains to be seen how these two universes conflict, especially since Reeves’ film was such a big hit, but the important thing to note is that they are going to be very different.
Reeves has the creative freedom to develop his own stories, and seeing how good the first movie was, we’re glad that he does. In a recent interview for Deadline, Reeves...

There’s still no release date for Peter Gabriel’s new LP I/O, which he’s been working on for over two decades, but he’s been releasing individual tracks from it over the past few months, tied to the moon cycle. The newest one is “This Is Home,” a love song inspired by some of Gabriel’s favorite music of his youth.
“It began with inspiration from some of the great Tamla Motown rhythm sections so we’re trying to recreate that in a modern way, complete with the tambourine and handclaps,...

Peter Gabriel opened his 2023 “i/o Tour” in Krakow, Poland on Thursday night, marking the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s first full solo concert since 2014 while offering an extensive preview of his upcoming tenth LP, i/o.
Aside from Gabriel’s most well-known numbers like “Sledgehammer,” “Don’t Give Up,” and “Big Time,” the two-set performance treated fans to over a dozen new songs and arrangements including the live debuts of i/o singles “Panopticom,” “The Court,” “Four Kinds of Horses,” and the title track as well as several previously unheard album cuts and a still-untitled piece that Gabriel dedicated to his late mother.
The former Genesis frontman wrapped up the main portion of the set with his 1977 debut solo single “Solsbury Hill,” but returned twice for encore renditions of the perennial crowd-pleaser “In Your Eyes” and the 1980 protest anthem “Biko.” Watch fan-captured footage and a pre-filmed...

May 5th marks another full moon, thus Peter Gabriel has shared another new single. This time, it’s “Four Kinds of Horses,” a cut from his upcoming album i/o. Named after the eponymous Buddhist parable, the track features Brian Eno on synthesizer as well as Gabriel’s daughter Melanie on backing vocals.
The mellow and moody “Four Kinds of Horses” explores “the interesting overlap of religion and peace on the one hand and violence and terrorism on the other.” In a press release, Gabriel explains how the song came together with co-producer Richard Russell, founder of Xl Records.
“I came up with some chords, melodies and words on top of a groove he was working on,” Gabriel says. “We tried a few things that didn’t altogether work and so it lay dormant for quite a while. Then I started playing around with it again and changed the mood...

Peter Gabriel is set to return soon with i/o, his first album in over two decades. Coinciding with the April 6th full moon, he’s offered another preview of the record with the “Bright-Side Mix” of its title track.
“‘I/O’ means input/output,” Gabriel explained in a press release. “You see it on the back of a lot of electrical equipment and it just triggered some ideas about the stuff we put in and pull out of ourselves, in physical and non-physical ways. That was the starting point of this idea and then trying to talk about the interconnectedness of everything. The older I get, I probably don’t get any smarter, but I have learned a few things and it makes a lot of sense to me that we are not these independent islands that we like to think we are, that we are part of a whole.

Since 2010, Scott Snyder has continually amazed readers with various stories featuring the Dark Knight that have since been deemed modern classics, a few of which were The Black Mirror, The Court of Owls, Death of the Family and Endgame. Not only did each prove to be incredible reads, but they also generously added something significant to Batman’s enduring mythology.
So, when Snyder’s much lauded run on Batman with Greg Capullo ended, fans understandably panicked. Thankfully, the superstar scribe has continued on, only with various other top tier artists in tow in the pages of All-Star Batman. And like many of you out there, we can’t help but give the series top marks whether it be in periodicals or trade paperback.
But, as you know, all good things must come to an end at some point, and the plug is being pulled on this particular title with issue #14 this fall.
